TenQ translate this by yourself. or substitute the word as you did earlier cos their scholars' translations are spurious. The Arabic is different from English. They are deceitful.

1. You don't interpret Al-Qur'an with ordinary translation alone.
2. Check the word MasiihU, it's written
MasiihA, which means it's one of the objects i.e one of what they worship
3. If it happens to go by they should worship him instead, it will be MasiihiI, because you can see "min duuni Allaah...."


As someone that understands Arabic language better to interpret it for you
