now, going to the higher institution..
the student will decide to build on his creativity by choosing a course that will groom him up. if he chooses otherwise, who is to blame for the death of his creativity... he is the murderer..
so, you can't blame it on education... education can't kill your creativity, your decision and determination only have the right to kill it..

EDUCATION IS NOT A KILLER BUT A PROMOTER..
EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate: Winner::LASU by Ajibam: 7:45pm On Dec 27, 2013
IamDejman: first of all, I have never seen a school that makes art mandatory and really have enforced it to the brim. Secondly, even if there is a school that does so, that's not the best way to bring out creativity in student because hatred will be what the student have for art...Answer to your second question is Yes, [b]it may kill the creativity because a school that only gives out handouts, notes and texts without the practical aspect[b] balance with the fore-said can kill creativity out of the best of the creative minds
you can't judge on the few schools you know..
on a global evaluation, schools in this century have grown to be more practical than theoretical stands..

now, in secondary school, we know that art department is different from science, it is mainly separated to bring out the creativity in them, if not they would have joined them together...
and a creative student will go to art department by his own will because he want to grow his creativeness.. if he chooses science then it will kill his creativity.. now how would you blame education on this.. The main culprit is the student... he can choose for himself since, it is not impose on him forcefully
EducationRe: Nairaland Interschool Debate: Winner::LASU by Ajibam: 7:24pm On Dec 27, 2013
Questions for LASU(supporting side) :

1.creativity rests within the person. School doesn't make up all of a child's day, so whether they want to expand, their creativity is solely up to them. In most schools, art Is a mandatory class. So,don't you think to blame the schools for a lack of creativity is more of a way to push of the responsibility of generations of people who weren't interested in helping themselves and they're children become more creative??

2.education advances things and open our eyes to many things we are ignorant of..
education always increase the level of creativity in students..
a boy that has creativity and he goes to higher institution to study creative art, will the education kill the creativity in him or build on it?

Joshthefirst: look at this man's foolishness. Relying on God to bless hardwork is cowardice? What has your atheism done to help nations and men? Nothing. Only speaking nonsense to complicate issues and hiding behind empty words, refusing to proffer any reasonable solution for humanity. Even plunging humanity into deeper pits of shallowness and despair. If this is about facing reality, you should be too ashamed to talk.
Nonsense. Go and keep your fantasies to yourself. We will educate our people on hardwork and trust in God, we will not lie to them about their vulnerability.

Pastor Olu T: This is the kind that give Christianity a bad name, had he read is bible well he would have discovered Jesus never did a miracle for show; there was always a reason for every miracle
rapture_ready: Miracles are not for show boating. Didn't the pastor ever read the book of mathew or luke where Satan tempted Jesus by trying to get him to showboat?
Mathew 4:5-75
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth himon a pinnacle of the temple,
6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down:for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God pastor. God does miracles for a reason or a purpose sir.
Ajibam:
pastor olu. T is right..Jesus never did miracles to showcase or dazzle the crowd.. when Herod try to make him do it, he refused
(luke23:8-9)
8. Herod was delighted at the opportunity to see Jesus, because he had heard about him and had been hoping for a long time to see him perform a miracle.
9. He asked Jesus question after question, but Jesus refused to answer.

even when the Pharisees ask himto show case it, he refused
(Matthew 16:1-4)
1. One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, demanding that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority.
2. He replied,“You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow;
3. red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times!
4. Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign, but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah.”Then Jesus left them and went away

what you do and others regard as faith is works. only God can count what we do as faith.. he should have waited for the justification of his faith by God not by trying to dazzle his church members.. ...may God have mercy on him..amen.
stay blessed

Christianity EtcAn Atheist Encounters God by Ajibam(op): 10:50am On Dec 27, 2013
Growing up in rural Alabama in the 1960s, Dr. Reggie Anderson’s childhood sounds like a script from a Hallmark movie. He was raised in a Christian home, and life on the farm was innocent and honest. God was as real to him as the clay beneath his feet, he says.

But the feel-good story of his lifeturned into a horror movie one sizzling summer day in 1973.

After a gang of escaped convicts brutally murdered six unsuspecting members of Anderson’s extended family, the heart and soul of the entire community was ravaged. Everyone and everything went into lockdown. The once-open doors, trusting hearts and willing faith of the community were latched and dead-bolted shut.

A teenager at the time, Anderson began wrestling deeply with God.

“In my mind and heart, God began to shrink,” he writes in his book Appointments With Heaven, which chronicles his struggle with gut-level honesty. “It was suddenly so obvious to me. He didn’t care because He wasn’t there!”

Soon Anderson stopped attending church and headed for college, where he decided to become a doctor.

“It was a point where I consciously decided to become an atheist and started worshipping at the school of science,” he says.

But his interest in God was slowly revived when some Christian friends began to study religion with him. He went camping one weekend to enjoy abit of nature and sort out his thoughts—but he never made it into his tent that night.

After a day of hiking, he did some reading and fell into a deep sleep, finding himself in a dream like no other. His senses took on the kind of other worldly qualities you hear about in near-death encounters, like ultrasaturated colors and aromatic scents. Suddenly the family that had been killed appeared to him.

“They didn’t speak with words, ” Anderson says, but they somehow communicated to him they were in a world of paradise and had no regrets.

And then came the ultimate healing. Like a father welcoming his prodigal son into his arms, Jesus appeared as a brilliant presence with an ageless and raceless form. Everything about Him radiated love and warmth. Without speaking, He beckoned Anderson near and told him about his future.

At dawn, Anderson was still laying on the ground next to the campfire.

“I woke up, and I was completely different,” he says.

He felt humbled. The mysterious dream not only sealed his faith, but it also cleansed him of his anger and made him desire more of God.

“Dreams don’t always change your life,” he says. “[But] this was a Damascus Road event. It actually changed the chemistry of my spirit.

”Anderson ended up marrying his college sweetheart, Karen, and today they have four children, as foretold in his dream.

He is currently a family practice physician at Frist Clinic in Ashland City, Tenn.Yet over the years, the sensations Anderson experienced in his dream have come back in his medical practice, particularly as patients cross the veil between life and death. Sights, aromas, temperature changes—“each time is different,” he says.

The first time Anderson attended a patient who died, he says he felt a warm sensation move through the cold hospital room as the man took his last breath. Then he noticed a momentary soft glow above and to the right of the man’s body, and he felt a “deep sense of peace and an embracing comfort,” he says.

Since then, Anderson has felt that warm presence many times with dying patients. Not everyone passes peacefully, though. Anderson says he has also sensed an evil presence in those moments at times, as he did with a patient with an abusive history. This man was hostile toward God, and he seemed to fight death with every breath. When he passed, Anderson says the temperature in the room dropped, and he could actually smell sulfur and diesel.A praying man, the “country doctor” gives God credit today for helping him make life-and-death decisions. The glimpses of heaven that restored Anderson’s faith have allowed him to share the gift of hope with many others, including the Steven Curtis Chapman family during the high-profile tragic death of their daughter in 2008.
Close friends with the Chapmans for years, Reggie and his wife, Karen, were among the first called when 5-year-old Maria—the youngest of three daughters adopted from China—was accidentally run over by her brother’s car at the Chapman’s home.

Even before the phone reached my ear, I could hear the sound of a mother’s wail in the background,” Anderson says. “It was unmistakable. And it was Mary Beth’s.”

As believers around the world prayed for the family amid their formidable grief, the Chapmans sheltered at the Anderson home for two weeks, leaning on one another’s faith.

“We’ll never really be able to put into words all they did for us through our darkest days, weeks, months and really years,” Steven Curtis says.

“There’s no one in my life who has given me a better glimpse into heaven [than Reggie]. God has let him catch glimpses through the veil in some pretty profound ways throughout his life. And because Reggie’s a doctor, a guy where everything’svery scientific and medical and fact-based, you know he’s not coloring things up to make something fantastic out of something normal; it’s the real deal.

”“We knew Reggie’s story, his relationship with the Lord. They’re true stories—it’s all real stuff,” Chapman adds. “As God showing up in our day-to-day lives, [his story] will hopefully take some of that mystique out and people will say, ‘If God’s showing up like this in this guy’s life—this doctor who’s respected—then this is real. God’s kingdom really is at hand, and there really is a very thin veil between heaven and where we are.’"

this solves it all
psalms 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me

we were born in sin cos of our forefather, adam..
this also confirms it

john1:12-13
12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on his name.
13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God

to become sons of God, i.e children of God,, we won't be born by flesh and blood which means natural birth, but of God, which is renouncing him as lord as saviour..
thats why many people born into a Christian house don't know that without them giving their life to Christ personally they are not sons of God cause the faith of the father wont save the son..
so, his daughter will be born in sin.. he should teach her the way of God as early as possible..
merry Christmas.

Christianity EtcSATAN'S TARGET.. Part 2. by Ajibam(op): 12:35pm On Dec 24, 2013
SATAN'S TARGET: YOUR MIND
A. When Satan wanted to lead the first man and woman into sin, he started by attacking the woman's mind (See 2 Cor. 11:3 and 1 Tim. 2:13-14).
B. Why would Satan want to attack your mind?
Because your mind is the part of the image of God where He communicates with you and reveals His will to you.. Because your thought life according to Proverbs 4:23 controls the rest of your life. "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.""Heart" in the Old Testament deals with your thought life in over 200 of the 800 times "heart" is used. Verse 23 could read, "guard your thought life with all diligence because it will determine how you live."Because your thought life dominates and shapes your attitude.. Your thought life leads to an attitude... Your attitude leads to an action.. Your action leads to an achievement.
C. It's important that we protect our thought life because we can become no bigger, no better, no finer, no more successful than our dominant thoughts. "As a man thinketh in his heart (deeply) believes) so is he" (Prov. 23:7)
What the mind attends to it considers.. What the mind does not attend to it dismisses.. What the mind attends to continually it believes.. What the mind believes it eventually does.

II. SATAN'S WEAPON: LIES
A. The mind is the battleground where spiritual warfare is won or lost.Satan realizes that if he can change or influence what you think then he can change or influence how you behave.. Satan tries to influence what you think by the strategy of enticement and deception. This is what he did to Eve in the garden.
B. Satan came to Eve as the serpent, the subtle deceiver of the mind.. He cannot touch our wills so he comes against that which influences the will, our thought life..
A person's thought life so affects the will that they are said to be a product of their thinking. (See Prov. 23:7 again)..
Your body may be built by food, but your personality and character are built by thought.. God's nature is to influence our life with truth. Satan's nature is to influence our life with lies.
C. Notice the steps Satan took in getting Eve to believe his lie.He questioned God's Word,"indeed has God said...."He denied God's Word, "you shall not surely die..."He substituted his own word, "you will be like god...."
D. How did Eve respond to Satan's approach? She responded by making three mistakes that led her into sin.-She took away from God's Word. (In verse 2 she omitted the word"freely"wink.. She added to God's Word. (We do not find the words "or touch it" in God's original command).-She changed God's Word. (God did not say "lest you die". He had said you shall "surely die"wink.

III. SATAN'S PURPOSE: TO MAKE YOU IGNORANT OF GOD'S WILL.
A. Why did Satan attack the Word God had spoken to Adam and Eve and try to change it?-Because God wanted Adam and Eve to know His will and God's Word reveals God's will.
Apart from the Word of God we have no understanding of the will of God.. If Satan can get the mind to question the Word of God then thatperson will never discover God's will.

IV. YOUR DEFENSE: THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD
A. John 8:32, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."Only the inspired Word of God canreveal and defeat the devil's lies.Jesus used the Word of God to defeat Satan's attack on the Mount of Temptation (Matt. 4:1-11).
B. If we are to win the battle of the mind we must.
1. Love God's Word
2. Know God's Word
3. Memorize God's Word
4. Meditate on God's Word
5. Believe God's Word
6. Use God's Word
7. Do God's Word

C. If we follow these 7 steps, we will be able to "Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every though to the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:5)
Shalom
