SATAN'S TARGET: YOUR HEART AND CONSCIENCE

A. The prophet Zechariah was given a vision at a time when the nation of Israel had sinned against the Lord. The scene of the vision takes place in heaven.-The scene Zechariah saw was that of a courtroom. God was the Judge.Joshua (not the Joshua with Moses)the High Priest is the defendant and Satan is the prosecuting attorney.. Satan appears to have a case against Joshua because he appears to be wearing filthy garments while ministering and the High Priest was always to wear clean clothes.
B. Joshua represents the people before God and the people were sinful. This explains why Joshua's priestly garments were dirty. His condition was Israel's condition.. A High Priest identified himself with the people he represented.
Satan knew Israel was sinful and he protested to God that Israel and Joshua be judged. You can imagine Satan's arguments..
How do you think Joshua felt during all the trial? Certainly his heart was broken and his conscience was smitten.
C. When you and I disobey God we feel guilty.
Guilt is an emotion that occurs when we receive a messageof disapproval from the conscience that says, "You've done wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself.
"Satan uses this guilt to condemn us to judgment. He attacks us in our heart and conscience.See how subtle and merciless Satan really is;Before we sin, he shouts at us,"You can get away with this."--After we sin, he shouts at us,"You'll never get away with this."God uses our guilt to convict us in our conscience to repentance.

II. SATAN'S WEAPON: ACCUSATION
A. It's important that we learn the difference between Satan's accusation (condemnation) and the Holy Spirit's conviction.-When the Holy Spirit convicts you, he uses the Word of God in love and seeks to bring you back into fellowship with your Heavenly Father.. When Satan accuses you, he uses your own sins to make you feel hopelessly separated from God.
B. The difference between Holy Spirit conviction and satanic accusation.. Holy Spirit conviction moves you toward God. Satanic accusation moves you away from God.-Holy Spirit conviction leads to confession. Satanic accusation leads to condemnation.-Holy Spirit conviction produces repentance. Satanic accusation produces regret and remorse.. Holy Spirit conviction focuses on the mercy of God. Satanic accusation focuses on judgment of God.

III. SATAN'S PURPOSE: TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED ON THE PENALTY AND NOT THE PARDON FOR SIN
A. Satan wants you to feel guilty, helpless and hopeless. He wants you to experience regret and remorse, but not repentance..
He wants to keep accusing you so that you focus your attention on yourself and your sins.
He knows that once you look awayby faith to Jesus Christ, you will repent, confess your sins and find cleansing and restored fellowship.
B. True conviction of the Spirit will always move you closer to God.
It's a sign that God's grace and love is at work in your life..
Your Defense: The Interceding Son of God.
It is true that Satan stands at ourright hand to resist us and accuse us. But it's also true that Jesus Christ stands God's right hand tointercede for us... See Hebrews 7:25 and Luke 22:31-32.
If we yield to sin, Jesus ministers as our advocate to forgive and to restore us to fellowship once again.. If by faith we turn to Him and come to the throne of grace, He will see us through to victory.
C. Notice the stages of the experience of Joshua the High Priest..
First there is Satan's resistance. The accuser names Joshua's sins at the throne and calls for a Holy God to judge Joshua.-Second is God's rebuke of Satan. God's rebuke is based on God's grace toward His people.
Third is Joshua's restoration. God ordered them to remove the filthy clothes and put holy garments on the High Priest.
D. Resistance - rebuke - restoration; these are the stages in the experience of confessing sin and returning to fellowship with Father.-Satan will accuse you, but do not listen. Turn to Jesus Christ your advocate and confess your sins to Him.-Depend on what God's Word says and not on how you feel.
Unconfessed sin in our life is a foothold for Satan.
Proverbs 28:13, "He who conceals his transgression will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion."

SCHOOL FEES UPDATE:
SUG President Speaks again, explains how Funaab would be spending our own share of N200B from FG.
As you can all recall the Previous update on the Proposed Internet Fee that might affect our school fees, that the SUG wanted Funaabites opinion on it. After seeing and reading our reactions, he posted:"At this point,You don't need to express any fears....there is no plan to increase school fees.....and if they do it will be met by serious resistance the internet access thing is just an innovation which the student union under me articulated to the university and the governing council also had it in mind but said the university do not have the money to invest in it except student are willing to pay....so I said let me put it to them and see if they are willing....so that is it...and on the1.6billion funaab will be getting of course,I was the one who made that amounte ven public here because I saw the books and I challenged who is coming after to also monitor the money..the money is for a specified project and it can NEVER be diverted into something else....it will be use to build hostels 1500 bed spaces 2 of it and laboratories...central lab etc...U are aware the World bank just gave Funaab 8million dollars that is also for a specific purpose research if it is diverted, the World bank will blacklist the university and the chief executive..So pls that is how things work. I hope you understand it now? If we don't want to watch lectures,download books, E-library surf the Net in our university No problem...I will communicate your opinion to the Governing council.."Your thought?

FUNAAB COLLEGE OF THE YEAR?
On the 31st of this month, the last day of the year, we would be doing a Facebook pole, where Funaabites would vote for the College of the Year.Most Funaabites on our page, know about the college of the month pole, we used to run, but we stopped it because of ASUU Strike, so we are bringing it back and this time it would be "College of the Year". Next year we would return it to it's normal "College of the month" Pole.Well in case you aren't aware of it before, this how we do it:
We would list the whole College in Funaab @ first, everyone would vote for a duration of an hr, the college with the least vote or comment would be eliminated. Then we would list the remaining colleges in the next post leaving out the eliminated college. The college with the least vote or comment would be eliminated again, we would keep running it like that until we are down to two colleges and then you will all pick the College of the year.This Time we would be giving out two N500 RECHARGE CARDS to the people that vote in or comment in all the post most ( Just one vote or comment in each Pole ), so get ready to pick Funaab's College of the year 2013.• Leggo

This Morning one of the SUG excos(AGS) posted this:"Greatest &everly fabulous funaabites.As part of our work ethos of consulting the majority of d student populace b4 taking on key decisions & embarking on ground breaking policies,We have decided to seek ur opinion as regards d "Addition of extra 5K proposed by d management asInternet Access fee".
dis wil enable al students av access 2 unlimited internet access & promote E-Learning."Most peoples opinion were, it should be "Optional" and not to be added on our sch fees. The the SUG President added:"Additional information: students will be able to stay in their hostels and attend lectures in MP 01. .
2..there will eventually be Bid by telecommunications company including MTN, Glo who will come up with bids as service provider and the students will be part of the commitee...
3..At 5000,Management is even still prepared to subsidize it by investing heavily into it....also take these points into consideration when forming your judgement."Someone added that: "what about those staying off campus", the SUG president replies:"I think you have raised a valid point...in discussing with who eventually wins the Bid either MTN, etisalat or Swiift it should be put into consideration that we have so many students off campus...in any case am sure they will handle that...this is technology.."So Funaabites do you agree to this development, before it is made final and meets us unaware, the SUG are making this open for everyone.
Here are the questions:
1. Should our school fees be Increased, because of all this benefits.
2. What about those going for IT or FPY?
3. The people that don't have Internet enabled device nkor? (Phones that cant browse and laptops)
4. Are any of Nigeria's network provider to be trusted?
