Fashion / Re: Fallacy About Acne(pimples) by ajilete(f): 11:14am On Dec 19, 2010
Retin A cream/gel is also said to be effective for acne, but i think you need to see a specialist dermatologist. Using unprescribed antibiotics can be detrimental especially since there are many kinds of antibiotics and they all have different effects. also some can become ineffective, so seeing a doctor who knows what they are doing is adviced, if you look at the reviews for Retin A online-(google it)they are pretty impressive. it exfoliates the sin keeping the pores clear of debris and dirt and oils that cause acne. Its pretty strong and may actaully make the skin appear worse before it gets better as the imbedded bacteria comes to the surface. it stings and you need to incorporate sun screen as it can sensitise the skin.
apart from that drinking lots of water all the time, cleans out the system of toxins and doent cost a thing. Good luck.

@becomrich,
IBB moved everything to Abuja when his life was threatened in the Orkar coup. He felt being closer north would be safer. Good luck to them all, they should just stay where they are. Chikena!

Politics / Re: This Is ARMED Mend. 48hrs Before The Explosions In Abuja. video. by ajilete(f): 9:59am On Oct 06, 2010
I so agree with the last speakers, please look at that video very well, some one is financing these boys and they arent real militants. The spokesman's '', and whatever, '' naunces imply that he is well educated, certainly not in the creeks. did you see the MEND emblem, brand new, someone has financed their uniforms, their brand new guns, everything. Like you said even the wooden structures are very well built, well paid for. Some one is financing these folks to cause havoc, someone very conniving, an evil genius with a lot of money to burn.
Fashion / Re: Relaxer For Soft Hair, Ur Recommendations. by ajilete(f): 8:53pm On Jun 28, 2010
Hi Eggyloo,
I feel you. It may be you have a very sensitive scalp. Now in addition to the recommended relaxers please take note of these
[li]make sure you dont handle your hair a few days to relaxing- avoid scratching, the reason for this is that the build up of dead scalp cells acts as a buffer to the new sensitive scalp cells on the skin
[
dont remove braids less than 5 days before retouching- ideally if you have removed your braids, leave your hair for at least 5 days; avoid brushing and combing scalp as this willmake it more sensitive;keep moisturising scalp with shea butter but make sure you do not scratch; you could wear a wig til you retouch to avoid handling the hair
i
vaseline is a very good base for protecting the scalp from the relaxer
dont wash your hair, at the very least a week before retouching- the dirtier your hair is(yes i know it sounds yuky!)the less irritation to you scalp when you retouch[/li]
[/li]
also try putting less relaxer for a shorter amount of time.o
i hope all this helps, but seriously the less you handle your hair before the day the less irritated your scalp will be.
Good luck!!!

Politics / Re: Show Some Compassion For Turai by ajilete(f): 5:26pm On Feb 28, 2010
at this point in time why would anyone have any compassion. the fact remains that the only person we are SURE has access to Yaradua is turai. She should do the right thing and tell us what exactly is going on. If she is a good woman who really cares about her husband she should actually have a press conference and say, ''Actually everything you have been told is a lie. My husband is ill, very ill, and i am taking him home to Katsina wher he will find peace.''

Lets hope that as the Nigerian drama continues to unfold that AIT will have the guts to let someone speaks and reveals the true picture of tings to continue doing his job as a journalist.
Fashion / Re: Please Suggest Two Colours That Go With Pink by ajilete(f): 12:44pm On Feb 11, 2010
it depend son the shade of pink.
a dusky pale pink like the one in some of tausis pictures also go well with dove grey.rich brown is a very good combi too. if possible try to stay away from the shocking deep pink like in the pink/blue and pink /black table and chair combi above. its a bit too strong and can look comical if you are not careful, unless its in nativewear-i.e. aso oke. Powder blue, like baby blue will also go well with pale pink
Politics / Re: Muslims Call On Allah To Stop Female Governorship In Kwara by ajilete(f): 11:57pm On Jan 28, 2010
Hausa fulani have taken over Kwara which used to be a Yoruba state. Afonja virtually gave it away. this is how they always encroach and eventually spread their backwardness.  It is sad that fundamentalists continue to confuse Islam with backwardness. Many have no respect for women.Hopefully the progressives in Kwara will prevail. I pray'' those'' dont spread their bloodthirsty poison southwards.

Food / Re: Tough Meat. How Do I Make It Soft? by ajilete(f): 6:49am On Jan 13, 2010
@tpia is totally correct. Cook with unripe pawpaw, the green one. Or wash an unripe pawpaw and slice cuts in it, collect the white milky sap like juice and pour into meat and cook. The secret is that unripe pawpaw, its skin, its leaves and stalks contain papaine an enzyme that disolves protein. this is why eating pawpaw after a meal will stop constipation. the unripe green pawpaw contains the most papine.

Jakumo:

With inspiration from the Elvis Presley classic  "Heartbreak Hotel", may I humbly submit this timely tune.

Well since Yar'Dua left us
we found a new place to dwell
Its where we love that phoney news

Its called the   Fake Death Hotel
Well, Where's Yar Aduaaa  ?
Where's Yar Adua? I don't know

They say he went to Saudi
To stop looking like a ghost
Now noone knows if he's live or dead
With more sightings than of The King

Well     Where's Yar Aduaaaa ?
Where's Yar Adua? I don't know

@Jakumo - Genius.
also ''Ladies and gentlemen, Yaradua has left the building.''

Politics / Re: Why Are Nigerians Such Big Cowards? by ajilete(f): 1:33pm On Jan 12, 2010
I think apart from the fact that Nigerians generally love life so much that any kind of life is better than no life at all, our society has become sooo corrupt.
You stand up for something , people support you and swear heaven and earth to stand by you and then you find out they have been bought by some fifth columnists. You go for a rally or protest and find somewhere along the line you are the only one standing in front of armed police. It takes a very strong fearless person, in the mold of a Gani or a Fela to stand up when majority of ppl are looking for something to eat and dont want to bite the hand that feeds them. the society is no longer pure where people stand up for what is right, see how many people turned against and abandoned Abiola, one by one. all hungry self serving people. even me would i join a rally to face mobile police if i wasnt really sure that we would all stand to the end? Over the years people have realised that it is every man for himself or that he can be bought for a price. the only time i remember anyone being willing to stand up and die was when Abiola was elected in a free and fair election. There was so much hope and loyalty in the air that people were willing to die. but it all filtered out and come to nuoght. and when you are faced with an armed mob with no rule of law every body thinks, 'Huh,to your house. Oh Israel!' There is no justice in this country so self perservation has become more paramount than anything else.

Politics / 3 Britons And 1 Colombian Kidnapped On Way To Work In Port Harcourt ! by ajilete(f): 12:41pm On Jan 12, 2010
Sky News is reporting that a convoy was attacked this morning in Port Harcort. The cars were conveying some foriegners to work and 3 Britons and 1 Colombian have been kidnapped as a result of that attack. These people have started again, Is it because they have leant that Yaradua may be alive afterall? Or they are just fed up of being tossed here and there? after how mant months there is no sign of useful work for them or tangible development in that area of the country, Too sad,

listened to the interview, all 51 secs of it on BBC website and have just watched confirmation of such on BBC world news. i think the man is still alive but these facts still remain

[li][/li]that Nigerians have been taken for granted and grossly insulted by the lack of information and continued coverup of the true situation things for 50 days is unacceptable and an inditment on Yaraduas leadership
