Sent Ash my friend request yesterday and he has accepted it. He later invited me to join the WIND group. I have done task 1 and now on task 2, which is the treasure hunt. The whole thing looks very different from the normal recruitment process we are used to. Still enjoying the ride for now.

Shanghai Shenhua fans turn out in force as Didier Drogba arrives in China

The former Chelsea striker landed in Shanghai on Saturday morning to a mass of Chinese fans who chanted his name and celebrated his arrival after signing with the Blue Boys

By Ben Somerford

14 Jul 2012 06:31:00

Didier Drogba has arrived in China greeted by approximately 750 fans at Pudong International Airport on Saturday morning (local time).

The Ivory Coast striker, who last month signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to join Shanghai Shenhua, was met by a huge crowd of supporters chanting his name at the airport's arrival hall.

Drogba shook the hands of several fans - with many holding Drogba banners, sporting Shenhua scarves and waving Ivory Coast flags - and wore a smile during the brief appearance, before being whisked away from the airport.

"I am looking forward to a new challenge, to experiencing a new culture, and excited about the new developments in the Chinese Super League," he told reporters upon his arrival.

"Me and my family arrived this morning [Saturday morning] and we are all going to the game tonight. I am looking forward to starting training with the team."

The former Chelsea man will be officially presented to Shenhua supporters at Saturday's clash with rivals Beijing Guoan, however he will not play in the game.

Drogba's debut is expected to come in Wednesday's Chinese FA Cup fixture away to Changchun Yatai.

Anelka in spat with Shanghai Shenhua fan

The Frenchman has been accused of showing a lack of respect to supporters after failing to bow to them following a defeat which leaves his side just a point off the bottom

By Sean Kilgallon

4 Jul 2012 12:50:00

Shanghai Shenhua striker Nicolas Anelka has been accused of disrespect by an angry fan following his side's recent 1-0 loss away to bottom-of-the-league Qingdao Jonoon.

Anelka, who captains the Shanghai side, refused to take part in the traditional bowing to supporters at the end of the game, as is customary in China.

And, after the defeat left Shenhua just one point off the foot of the Super League table, Anelka's decision was met with anger.

One fan broke into the hotel lobby where the players were based, before shouting at the striker: “Why don’t you bow with the rest of the team?”

The fan was taken away by security, but made another appearance later on as the players made their way onto the bus.

Anelka is reported to have told the supporter: “If you want to have a talk. Stand here now.”

The fan, who is believed to have made a 700-mile round trip in order to see the match, then further criticised Anelka, saying: “I took time off work and paid for flight tickets and a hotel to come to support you all, but you did what?”

The former Chelsea man replied: “Why me? Why don’t you find a Chinese player?"

Before the man responded: “Because you are the captain and you should be responsible for this [bowing to the fans] - if you don’t respect us, we don’t respect you.”

The striker then ended the brief conversation, saying: “I don’t care.”

The Frenchman joined the mega-rich Chinese club in January after falling out of favour under former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas but has helped his side win just three of 15 league games so far.

Shenhua supporter Lu Xiaoming, 24, told the Mirror: “I didn’t travel to the game but I heard about what happened - what can I say? I just hope he leaves."

However, 27-year-old fan Li Gun was more supportive of the forward, adding: “He’s done his best so far, his personality is not the type to bow to fans, so I still support him.

"The problem in Shenhua is that some local players are just not good enough to play alongside him.”

Anelka's former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba recently joined Shenhua and is set to make his debut in the coming weeks.

I could recall vividly when i was serving in Ningi LGA of Bauchi State where d ex DIG hailed from, he was loved by all. He tried as much as possible to help anybody willing to join the NPF. It's like saying all the Police men from that town entered the Force through him. I was there when the Emir of Ningi gave him a title. The people i knew there spoke in glowing terms about him. Gone too soon. May the Almighty Allah pardon him of his misdeeds and make Al-janat his home.

The same way you are surprised at my post is what am trying to comprehend from your post right now. Are you telling me we did not do the same number of questions and yet we are contesting for the same job? I hope something is not going on behind our backs. Those who are yet to do theirs should pls come back and tell us their experience when they have done so.

@all; just got home now. It wasn't as @yommy2sure stated o. I guess he didn't notice. Mine was 20 questions on verbal for 11mins and 15 questions on quantitative for 10mins. D verbal was kinda ok,but the quantitative was kinda harder than d online one. Not hard per say, but d time given wasn't enough to calculate everything you need b4 arriving at the final answer. Another thing was d big (stupid) calculator given to us. I wish those that are yet to take theirs all the best.

RossP: Na wa Oooo! Which school is this, with 47 first class graduates ... Very Hard to believe with the current level of rot in our Educational system, where the givers and takers are all in the game and very willing.. Those certificates should be re-assessed...
We all know what the level of education in the country is today. That notwithstanding, you cannot settle your way or hold a table to achieve the grade. First Class is not beans, whether you graduated at Kilmanjaro or Harvard Uni. To all the haters, i think you should ask yourself why you couldn't graduate with a First Class. The yorubas would say "he who does not have someone like you cannot value you"

bayooooooo:

Don't mind them. Even though, standard is not the same across schools, First Class can not be achieved without a measure of brilliance, dedication, seriousness and capacity for imaginative thoughts. Is it not funny that someone who made a third is accusing a First of not being able to defend his/her grade?

Besides,a number of people mistaken First class for being a genius that must know everything, write error free sentences and speak flawless grammar. They even thought First class is synonymous with having superb social skills. That's is absolutely wrong. First Class means you have studied a particular discipline and achieved the highest grade.

Social skills, networking, making friends, managerial skills which are badly needed in work place are learnt not in class but in participating in many organisations, clubs and fraternities on campus. So when they say First Class can not defend their degree, you have to ask them "What do you mean exactly?" Are they more qualified than professors in the subject matter who awarded the degree?

Misplaced priority. Instead of them to think of what to do after graduation. They should take a walk to Chams city and see how graduates slog it out on a computer screen to get a job!!!
