That's not much for an oil job. Gosh why are some Africans so backwards.
you are the backward one to believe an oil servicing firm will pay a green hat field staff $6k monthly. No one has said oil producing firms dont pay that much for experienced staff and expatriates. Pls educate yourself and stop displaying your gross ignorance. It's people like you that will believe anything once it is oil and gas related.

I blame Seun and his mods for this. NL gave them an avenue to spread false reports and hate speeches.

If not for NL, where would they make their noise?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Recruitment Disclaimer by Ajisebioyolaari: 10:49am On Sep 11, 2017
“That due to the forthcoming
promotion exercise, the Corps is only issuing old letters of appointment and promotion to
personnel who merited it.
“But for administrative reasons, they were unable to receive their
letters in the last exercise
conducted and it is expedient for them to document at this point
in time due to the forthcoming promotion exercise,” he said.
The CG just shot himself on the foot. Does it mean that people were not issued appt letter before they resumed duty? What is the administrative reason? Scarcity of Conqueror paper or lack of ink in the printer or no secretary to type the content of the letter or perhaps no pen to sign the letters? Maybe the CG or Director of Admin who should have signed the letters had his hand chopped off by Boko Haram and a spare hand had to be ordered from China.

Mr CG, stop playing on job seekers' intelligence. You are carrying out a replacement and issuing back-dated letters to cover your corrupt äss. Simple! There is no need opening any recruitment portal later in the year. You have filled up 80% of the available slots (just like NIS did before opening their useless portal). Save applicants the stress. grin

what department? Most people whose names will appear on the supplementary list already have their status changed to "supplementary recommendation". Did you try discussing with any senior lecturer or you just sat at home waiting for a miracle? After the merit list, Unilag supplementary list is not based on merit oooo. It's simply "lecturer's list".
Education / Re: Unilag PG 2015/2016 ADMISSION DISCUSSION HERE by Ajisebioyolaari: 12:35am On Feb 11, 2016
Supplementary list will soon be updated. Keep checking your profile if you're expecting your name on the supplementary list. Different courses are updated daily. If your remark changes from 'not recommended' to 'supplementary recommendation', you are certain you made the supplementary list.

There is no need for all these confusions, the best thing is to confirm your status from spgs portal. Mine was reading "Not recommended" until 2 days ago when it changed to "Supplementary Recommendation".
What course did you apply for please?

The way some grads be asking foolish questions self, dem suppose go exchange their cert for N10.
Person dey tell Op say even ppl wey study yoruba or hausa can work there,he dey say him friend na yoruba.
I don't know where your frustration is coming from, but I believe you chose the wrong thread to vent your anger. There is a huge difference between 'graduates of Yoruba Language' and 'Yoruba graduates'. I replied the Engineer's comment based on context. I hope you will exchange your certificate for N10 this month, that is if you have one.

He who does not know, and doesn't know that he does not know is a fool, ignore him. Olusegun Aganga had a Biological Science background yet rose to become the Minister of Trade and Investment. I have seen a Geography graduate work in National Primary Health Care Development Agency. I have seen a Zoologist working at the Nigerian Center for Disease Control. When I created this thread, it wasn't for myopic people like yourself to comment. Cheers!

Career / Can A Geology Graduate Fit Into NCC? by Ajisebioyolaari: 7:19am On Jan 12, 2016
So yesterday, I met an old friend of mine who was my roommate back in the University. After several discussions, she asked me if a graduate of Geology can fit into Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). In my opinion, I told her it is very possible as she will definitely fit into one department within the commission. She explained that someone is offering her the job but she is worried that her discipline may not be relevant in the commission.

For those who know about the structure and departments of NCC, do you think she can stand a chance? If yes, what is the pay structure like? Will she advance in this organisation or should she pursue a related course to stay relevant? Is it worth the effort?

Thanks for your contributions.

I just saw some 69+ scores among the successful. I guess I missed the cut-off with 0.5? undecided I also noticed most of the successful applicants are 2.1 graduates. I have a 2.2 degree.
