JESUS DID NOT HEAL EVERYBODY DURING HIS EARTH WALK when He came to the pool of Bethsaida where there were so many sick people, He healed only one John 5. Another report says that Jesus could not (not did not)do many miracles in his country Mark 6:4-5 "But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them." The man at the Beautiful gate that Peter healed (Acts 3)had been at that gate even when Jesus was alive. Jesus passed him everyday to the temple. There is something about being thirsty and coming with expectation. Even when a blind man met Jesus,he was still asking the man, "what do you want me to do for you" when its obvious he needed to see. Mark 10:51 "And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight." Its a spiritual principle. But there also has been cases where some men of God went to hospital and discharged d patients. God must have told them. But its not the norm |
My point is that any evil done by muslims are traceable to Mohammad including terrorismThat is the truth many people have not known. The blood instinct nature of that religion is a foundation thing. TRINITY Introduction God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God. (Jesus, the Son, is one person with two natures: Divine and Human. The Holy Spirit is also divine in nature and is self aware, the third person of the Trinity. A further point of clarification is that God is not one person, the Father, with Jesus as a creation and the Holy Spirit as a force (Jehovah's Witnesses). Neither is He one person who took three consecutive forms, i.e., the Father, became the Son, who became the Holy Spirit. Nor is God the divine nature of the Son (where Jesus had a human nature perceived as the Son and a divine nature perceived as the Father (Oneness theology). Nor is the Trinity an office held by three separate Gods (Mormonism). The chart below should help you to see how the doctrine of the Trinity is systematically derived from Scripture. The list is not exhaustive, only illustrative. 1. There is only one God Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5,14,18,21,22; 46:9; 47:8; John 17:3; 1 Cor. 8:5-6; Gal. 4:8-9 The first step is to establish the biblical doctrine that there is only one God. Then, you find that each of the persons is called God, each creates, each was involved in Jesus' resurrection, each indwells, etc. Therefore, God is one, but the one God is in three simultaneous persons. Please note that the idea of a composite unity is not a foreign concept to the Bible; after all, man and wife are said to be one flesh. The idea of a composite unity of persons is spoken of by God in Genesis (Gen. 2:24). 2. The Three Persons of the Trinity Share the Characteristics of Divinity FATHER SON HOLY SPIRIT Called God Phil. 1:2 John 1:1,14; 20:28,Col. 2:9 Acts 5:3-4 Creator Isaiah 64:8 John 1:3; Col. 1:15-17 Job 33:4, 26:13 Resurrects 1 Thess. 1:10 John 2:19, 10:17 Rom. 8:11 Indwells 2 Cor. 6:16 Col. 1:27 John 14:17 Everywhere 1 Kings 8:27 Matt. 28:20 Psalm 139:7-10 All knowing 1 John 3:20 John 16:30; 21:17 1 Cor. 2:10-11 Sanctifies 1 Thess. 5:23 Heb. 2:11 1 Pet. 1:2 Life giver Gen. 2:7: John 5:21 John 1:3; 5:21 2 Cor. 3:6,8 Fellowship 1 John 1:3 1 Cor. 1:9 2 Cor. 13:14; Phil. 2:1 Eternal Psalm 90:2 Micah 5:1-2 Rom. 8:11; Heb. 9:14 A Will Luke 22:42 Luke 22:42 1 Cor. 12:11 Speaks Matt. 3:17;Luke 9:25 Luke 5:20; 7:48 Acts 8:29; 11:12; 13:2 Love John 3:16 Eph. 5:25 Rom. 15:30 Searches the heart Jer. 17:10 Rev. 2:23 1 Cor. 2:10 We belong to John 17:9 John 17:6 . . . Savior 1 Tim. 1:1; 2:3; 4:10 2 Tim. 1:10; Titus 1:4; 3:6 . . . We serve Matt. 4:10 Col. 3:24 . . . Believe in John 14:1 John 14:1 . . . Gives joy . . . John 15:11 John 14:7 Judges John 8:50 John 5:22,30 . . . 3. Plurality in the Godhead The following group of scriptures strongly suggests a plurality within the Godhead. These verses are translated correctly in the Jehovah's Witness Bible so you can encourage them to use it. 1. Gen. 1:26, "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . .'" They will say that angels are the ones who helped God make man. However, there is no scriptural evidence for that. God is the only creator. Rather, Col. 1:15-17 says that Jesus is the creator of all things--including man and Isaiah 44:24 says that God created the heavens and the earth all alone. 2. Gen. 19:24, "Then the LORD [Jehovah] rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD [Jehovah] out of heaven." Compare this with Amos 4:10-11, 'I sent a plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses, and I made the stench of your camp rise up in your nostrils; yet you have not returned to Me,' declares the LORD. I overthrew you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah . . . '" Jehovah is the one talking and He says, "I overthrew you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, " Very interesting. 3. In the Bible God is called the first and last and so is Jesus. (Isaiah 44:6, 48:16 Revelation 1:8, 17-18; 22:12-13), 4. Matt 22:41-45 “While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?” Therefore, the doctrine of the Trinity is arrived at by looking at the whole of scripture, not in a single verse. It is the doctrine that there is only one God, not three, and that the one God exists in three persons: Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. An analogy would be time. Time is past, present, and future. But, there are not three times, only one. Jesus' Two Natures: God and Man Jesus is God in human flesh. He is not half God and half man. He is fully divine and fully man. That is, Jesus has two distinct natures: divine and human. Jesus is the Word who was God and was with God and was made flesh, (John 1:1,14). This means that in the single person of Jesus is both a human and divine nature. The divine nature was not changed. It was not altered. He is not merely a man who "had God within Him" nor is he a man who "manifested the God principle." He is God, second person of the Trinity. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word," (Heb. 1:3, NIV). Jesus' two natures are not "mixed together," nor are they combined into a new God-man nature. They are separate yet act as a unit in the one person of Jesus. This is called the Hypostatic Union. The following chart should help you see the two natures of Jesus "in action": GOD MAN He is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33). He worshiped the Father (John 17). He was called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1: He was called man (Mark 15:39; John 19:5).He was called Son of God (Mark 1:1) He was called Son of Man (John 9:35-37) He is prayed to (Acts 7:59). He prayed to the Father (John 17). He is sinless (1 Pet. 2:22; Heb. 4:15). He was tempted (Matt. 4:1). He knows all things (John 21:17). He grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52). He gives eternal life (John 10:28). He died (Rom. 5: .All the fullness of deity dwells in Him (Col. 2:9). He has a body of flesh and bones (Luke 24:39). The Holy Spirit Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the Holy Spirit is an active force like radar. They deny that He is alive and that He is a person. This is, of course, because they deny the Trinity. Yet, if the Holy Spirit is simply a force then, Why is He called God (Acts 5:3-5)?, How is it that He can teach (John 14:26)?, How can He be blasphemed (Matt. 12:31,32)? How can He be the one who comforts (Acts 9:31)?, How is it possible for Him to speak (Acts 28:25)?, How then can He be resisted (Acts 7:51)?, How can He be grieved (Eph. 4:30)?, How can He help us in our weaknesses (Rom. 8:26)?, If the Holy Spirit is a force, then how is it possible that the above mentioned characteristics are attributed to Him? A force doesn't speak, teach, comfort, etc. Nor can you blaspheme against a force. |

Have you read about senator Ahmed Yerima (the man who first introduced Shari'a in Nigeria) marriage to a 13 year old Egyptian. Pedophilia!Child abuse!!! you would scream, that is if you are a Christian or if your conscience still speaks. But if you are a Muslim, it is normal to that religion beginning with their founder Muhammed During his life Muhammad married eleven or thirteen women depending upon the differing accounts of who were his wives. He married his cousin Zaynab bint Jahsh, married a 9 year old girl, Ayishah; married so many captives of war example Juwayriyya bint al-Harith. women he considered booties of his war escapades. The hadith of Abdul Aziz says:1 "We conquered Khaibar, took the captives, and the booty was collected. Dihya came and said, 'O Allah's Prophet! Give me a slave girl from the captives.' The Prophet said, 'Go and take any slave girl.' He took Safiya bint Huyai. A man came to the Prophet and said, 'O Allah's Apostles! You gave Safiya bint Huyai to Dihya and she is the chief mistress of the tribes of Quraiza and An-Nadir and she befits none but you.' So the Prophet said, 'Bring him along with her.' So Dihya came with her and when the Prophet saw her, he said to Dihya, 'Take any slave girl other than her from the captives.' Anas added: The Prophet then manumitted her and married her. another report on how he married Zainab reads that According to Ibn Sa'd and Tabari, after the marriage, Muhammad went to pay Zayd a visit, but instead found Zaynab, scantily clad, and fell in love with her.2. I was surprised when the beauty pageantry that was supposed to take place in Nigeria was cancelled because Muslims rioted that somebody commented that even Muhammed would have been interested in one of the girls. This account tells us how he married by lust, so whats the riot all about? By Oguta Jude Watchman Oprah Winfrey has defined ‘Luck’ as what happens when opportunity meets preparation and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s acting president has enjoyed this intersection on a mega scale and in quantum leaps: He never campaigned to be the governor of a state but it came; he never dreamed of being the Vice President but he was and never vied for the nations No 1 seat, but he is (though acting for now). Really, he can be described as a man who waits for destiny, and has never been disappointed by his act of patience. From a minority Ijaw group in the Niger Delta, this man circumvented the conventional murky waters of Nigerian politics to clinch the nations most coveted position. A reporter once observed that Jonathan ‘operates as if there are no politics going on around him at the Presidential Villa, or any where else in the country.’ Yet a presidential ambition that radical activists like Awo, Gani and Ojukwu could not achieve, this man got it on a platter of gold. We can say in a nutshell that his successes reflect his name which epitomizes good fortune. But when we consider that the likes of Gandhi, Luther and Mandela have little of what we call good luck in their biography, yet carved a niche for themselves in the annals of history, we are tempted to ask, ‘is anything better than a chain of good lucks?’. should we continue to eulogize Dr Goodlucks sudden flight to success, or is there something higher to aspire for? Drawing a glimpse from the life of Gandhi and co, this write up shows those in the lucky mantra how to move from petty success to significance. It is also an invitation to our acting president to etch his name in the chronicles of African history. The Mohandas Enigma Ralph Waldo Emerson once observed that “There is properly no history; only biography.” One man that has helped to shape the history of our world was a brown Indian with a little stature. Thinker, statesman and nationalist leader, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi not only led his own country to independence but also influenced political activists of many persuasions throughout the world with his methods and philosophy of nonviolent confrontation, or civil disobedience. Inspired in part by the teachings of Jesus Christ, Gandhi's place in humanity is measured not in terms of the 20th century but in terms of history. His death was regarded as an international catastrophe. A period of mourning was set aside in the United Nations General Assembly, and condolences to India were expressed by all countries. During Gandhi’s funeral, an European journalist presented Gandhi the following way “the object of this massive tribute died as he has always lived: a private man, without wealth, without property, without official title or office. Mahatma Gandhi was not the commander of armies nor a ruler of vast lands; he can not boast of any scientific achievement or artistic gift; yet men, governments, dignitaries from all over the world have joined hands today to pay homage to this little brown man with a loin clothe who led his country to freedom” In a nutshell, Gandhi did not have much of the luck factor, but still changed the world significantly. It follows therefore that men of little opportunities made history, what about those who have much of it like Dr. Goodluck? The Bible says that to whom much is given much is expected from him. What is so special about Gandhi’s life that the world is not in a hurry to forget him. What are the lessons we can learn from him? How can we change our world like he did and how can Dr. Goodluck move from mere luck to significant impact? STEPS TO BUILDING A LASTING LEGACY From my study of the biography of Gandhi and others that shaped world history, I have come up with these five wisdom keys to leaving a legacy for posterity to remember. 1. Understand the difference between success and significance: the difference between success and significance is value added. The big question Mr. Jonathan and every one of us must answer is how much will our lucks and opportunities translate to making the world a better place? Gandhi is of noble birth; he studied law in London; he would have died a successful accomplished lawyer that lived for himself and family; but he converted this privilege of education to the good of millions of Indians. Men like Mandela and Luther King all share the same quality-they came down from a position of honour and translated their success to significant impact on humanity. That is why the world can not forget them. Moses, being considered the son of a king and raised in the palace, was a lucky man by all ramifications; but he decided to move from success to significance. Watch how he did it “Then after Moses grew up, his faith made him refuse to be called Pharaoh's grandson. He chose to be mistreated with God's people instead of having the good time that sin could bring for a little while. Moses knew that the treasures of Egypt were not as wonderful as what he would receive from suffering for the Messiah, and he looked forward to his reward.” Heb 11:24-26 2. Know the three levels of greatness: If you really want to move from success to significance, you must come to the understanding that Greatness in life has three levels: primary, secondary and tertiary. It is those in the tertiary category that we more often term ‘lucky’ but we sometimes neglect the first two major foundations of a lasting greatness. A man has attained primary greatness when he has developed a strong value-based character. To be great in the secondary level is to have developed ones skill set, talent, intellect etc. such men have a high market value and they are sought after, having a higher chance to attain tertiary greatness. Tertiary greatness is a man that has built wealth, fame, etc; that men see. It is this last group of people that we brand as ‘lucky’ and celebrate them (at least while it lasts). Those that ended up making history are those that have developed primary and secondary greatness. Odumegwu Ojukwu, the son of Nigeria’s first generation millionaire Dennis, who by passed the call to comfort to embrace service observed that The bane of the Nigerian society is the obsession of her citizenry to acquire privileges (tertiary greatness) because the acquisition of privileges has become the only criterion valid for the measurement of success. We profane tradition to acquire titles, we buy degrees, we join exclusive and sometimes secret societies, our vehicles carry exclusive numbers… the Nigerian today is an addict of privileges. The objective is neither comfort nor luxury, rather it is in order to be recognized. The greater the assault on the eyes of the underprivileged, the greater the satisfaction Let me close this section with a quote I got from our erstwhile justice of the Supreme court “nothing will happen in our nation, in our society which did not first happen in our minds(Primary greatness). If wrong is rampant, if indiscipline is rife, if corruption is the order of the day, we have to search our individual minds for that is where it all starts…, ” Justice Chukwudifo Oputa 3. Be different to make a difference: Great leaders are not afraid to be different. They rarely follow conventions that stifle progress. At the advent of the new millennium a vote was taken to identify ten men that changed the last 1,000 years (i.e. the last millennium); among those that made that list was Gandhi, Einstein, Luther, among others. Writing on the distinguishing characteristics of these men, Colliers Year Book wrote: “These ten people who helped shape the second millennium were in one way or another radicals, risk takers, or controversial figures. All possessed the courage of their convictions and believed, often against considerable opposition, that they were in the right. Whether influential as religious reformer, free-thinking scientist, defender of democracy, women's activist, or in another role, these ten people changed the millennium and made history because they refused to accept the limits and conventional thinking of their eras. The world today is so much the richer for it. Men that make history behave like a typical thermostat rather than a thermometer- a thermostat regulates the temperature of its environment while a thermometer is the reverse; its environment regulates it. Playing to the gallery is the comfort zone; many who tow that line never make a difference. Being different does not mean being bizarre or unpredictable, it means holding unto the corporate vision in spite of oppositions. In moments of controversies with the die hard cabals, the acting president should do what will be in the benefit of Nigerians and not dance to the tune of shylock political godfathers. A biographer of Gandhi wrote that Gandhi had critics in his own country, and indeed in his own party. The liberal leaders protested that he was going too fast; the young radicals complained that he was not going fast enough; left-wing politicians alleged that he was not serious about evicting the British or liquidating such vested Indian interests as princes and landlords; the leaders of the untouchables doubted his good faith as a social reformer; and Muslim leaders accused him of partiality to his own community. Dr Martin Luther King caps it all up with this quote, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” 4. Set your dream/vision and goals: Thucydides said “A political leader must have more than clean hands, he must have a clear vision.” A vision is our picture for the future while goals are the several milestones required to get to that picture. Martin Luther had a dream, the liberation of the black race; the election of Obama is a clear sign that his dream was achieved. Gandhi had a dream to grant India independence from the British, he achieved that goal before his death; Nelson Mandela also had a dream- the liberation of black south Africans from apartheid rule, his becoming the first black president of south Africa was a crown of accomplishment. What is the acting president’s dream for Nigeria? History will score him by how much of his promises and goals were attained. I agree with Nigerian elderly statesmen that advised him to reduce the seven point agenda to two or at most three. 5. Stand up for Justice: every nation or leader is judged by how he/she treats the poor and downtrodden of the society. What policies will Dr. Jonathan make and how will it help to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor. Between the leader and the led; between the celebrated and the marginalized. Gandhi’s epitaph reads, “Think of the poorest person you have ever seen and ask if your next act will be of any use to him.” A biographer of Gandhi also wrote that, ‘Gandhi also fought to improve the status of the lowest classes of society, the ‘Untouchables’, whom he called harijans ("children of God" .People are judged in heaven and earth by how they represent the voiceless and lowest members of the society. That is why Jesus’ mission statement reads, Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, The poor, brokenhearted, captives, blind and bruised are the reason NGO’s are set up; they are not money making ventures for the founder. BOTTOM LINE Many who saw this topic would initially think I’m a Yar’adua loyalist on a mission to rubbish the growing popularity of the acting president, but that is not the case. I used good luck not as somebody’s name but as the state of being fortunate. So the question is what is better than good luck and not who is better than Goodluck. The answer is answered by king Solomon in the Bible. According to him, What is better than good luck is a good name. He said that a good name is better than great riches. What I have presented are men that ended up making a good name with little lucks. It follows therefore that history does not remember a man by his pile of lucks and privileges but by the positive legacy they leave behind. Better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof. Finally note that we do not have to have a political position to leave a good name in history; Gandhi never had, neither did Mother Theresa. Mother Theresa left us with this formula “I never look at the masses as my responsibility. I look at the individual. I can love only one person at a time. I can feed only one person at a time. Just one, one, one , So you begin -- I begin. I picked up one person -- may be if I didn't pick up the one person I wouldn't have picked up 42,000.” Inspirational Quotes This quotes can inspire you to greatness. ONCE UPON A SNAKE, The Serpent, Science and Scriptures Evolutionists agree with the Bible that snakes once had legs but differ on the cause of their present legless form. Whereas evolution scientists attribute the alteration to the process of natural selection, the Bible tells us it was by divine intervention; whereas scientists say it was during the course of evolution, the Bible says it was the consequence of a curse on creation as a result of the fall of man. Whose report should we believe: Moses (Genesis) or Darwin(Evolution)? Or do we look for the missing link between Geology and Theology? What does the Bible say about the theory of evolution? … These questions have always agitated my mind from my university days as a student of the Geological Sciences and an ardent believer in the Bible as the inerrant word of God. Whereas most people conclude that the Bible lacks intelligent responses to these questions, this write up gives a scientific minded analyst a reason to believe in the Genesis account in spite of the so called compelling evidences of evolution. Note that evolutionists only provide geological and biological evidences to support their view, but in this piece we shall supply geological, biological, psychological, medical, prophetical, historical and political proofs to authenticate the Genesis version. We have also been able to crack a major Bible code that will help scientists understand salvation. You will discover why God is omniscient and why science should strengthen not destroy your faith in Him. In May 25, 1961, John F. Kennedy the then President of the United States told his nation, “I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth.” Crazy as such a supercilious aspiration would sound, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) successfully landed a man on the moon on 25th July 1969. In Nigeria, our ailing president made a promise by the beginning last year to increase power generation to six thousand megawatts (MW) before the year 2009 ends. The year came and passed uneventfully. The Minister of Information who doubles as the figurehead of the rebranding process is gradually being rebranded by PDP and FEC. I think there is much more to islamic terrorism and Suicide Bombing than meets the ordinary eye. The Bible has a lot to say about the origin, and motivation for suicide bombing.
