Tyche: Which year and model? Looks like 2013. There's a thin line differentiating the year model for me.
Car is ok and rugged, from private use experience, although ehailing is a different ball-game.
2011 engine is about 200k or less but the 2013 model engine is about 600k, so you gotta be top notch with maintenance.
Don't go for it if it's not 2011 Thanks alot |

Epphy: This car too fresh for ehailing joor...
To be candid, I don't think it is rugged enough for the hustle. Even a corolla 2014 go hear ween. I guess the parts are truly expensive.
If I had such an offer with car in good condition, na to start selling cars be that. If I fit make 200k - 300k on top, I'm in biz jare Lol.... |

Good afternoon great people. So I was asked to pick this for 1.1M... 2014, 58k Mileage, used by a pastor.
However, a few close friends advice I should rather go for a Naija used Corolla as the parts of the Hyundai might be expensive and not readily available...
Please I need some professional advice from my elders.

northbird: Opay runs an inclusive system. You need to have money in your wallet before you can order for a ride.
They don't use cards. More of a wallet. Type, you transfer money from your account to credit your wallet before embarking on ordering a ride. Pardon my narration... Wallet not card, as you rightly said. |

adsmaster: I want to find out please is it ignorance, lack of trust or intoxicatation of power that some of these owner partner is suffering from?
I entered into a partnership deal with my partner a senior personal in the army. When we were striking the partnership agreement by the help of the fleet management company I spoke of sometime ago, I new in me that these marriage will not be a smooth one, I will have to apply the highest level of emotional intelligence.
So I had these shaft sound had to go home and park then sent my partner a whatsapp message explaining the new development. The man came at me with a bad response, he is either feeling am lying to him to short change him of his weekly remittance which is due today. Using words that depicts a master slave relationship while in reality we are partners.
Am at a cross road, I had to call the management company (who offloaded him from the list of people they manage there cars because of these same attitude) and ask them how they manage these guy. Believe me the normal me would just transfer the money to him and tell him I can't continue with these partnership I wish to terminate it. He doesn't seem to want to listen, he flares up easily a normal trait I know is found in them but it's a partnership agreement. should I allow him to boss me around all in the name of trying to make it work or just go straight up and drop the car?
He is not in Lagos, and doesn't have anybody here as family or so. From the onset I told him I need his mechanic contact so he will acts as a third party to confirm all these repairs or faults am tell him about but he just looked for a way to wiggle himself out of that discussion.
He is saying we just spent one week money on the car on hub, tires and some other repairs I need him to fix, shey naaa me pray make the repairs come up? A tool used for work, to carry out or render transportation service will always develops fault now. Just tired and at a cross road.
These is what i have agreed to do. Once I send him the cash, I will send him Message in the night that I would like that his mechanic number so I can call the guy drive the car to him to confirm if the shaft is bad or not first thing tomorrow morning, if he doesn't produce it that am afraid i can continue with the partnership shikanah..
PS... If your all have another way thes can be remedied please let me know. That's the right thing to do... And also make him understand that you can't afford to work in a partnership where there is no trust. Tell him you have taken the car like your own and have never harboured any ill thoughts ever and will never do such. However, if he can't link you up with his mechanic or anyone who you can physically work with for peace to reign, then you have to call it a quit, as you value your self respect highly and won't afford to see anyone ruin the respect you have built for years. |

eherbal: I know this technique too. I've revived 2 peeps with it in my lifetime
First of all,call emergency services
1.pls it's very pertinent to note that being calm goes a long way to making this a success.thanks. make your patient comfortable by laying him comfortably on the floor.make sure you untie belts, ties and other clothings that may impair flow of blood and oxygen. 2.place both hands on the patients chest somewhere between the heart region and lungs.pls note that the hands should be on each other, knuckled together. 3.do 30 compress at 1 compress per second.pls don't press too hard as not to damage rib cage, but enough pressure to try to get the heart working. 4.after 30 compress, tilt head of patient backwards, cover nostrils then breath a mouthful into patient's mouth.do this 3times.then repeat compress on patient. 5.continue and repeat process till emergency services arrive. Additional techniques welcomed as this is what I'm limited to.God save us all You can buy this disposable mouth to mouth device. Some persons carry communicable diseases dey Waka about... So your own safety should also come first.

peeps4u: Just saw this.
I think guys need to learn one or two things about first aid techniques in cases like this.
I know; 1. Mouth to mouth action or lifting the leg up, but wouldn't it be seen as subtle sexual harassment? 2. Chest compression (CPR) I believe a good driver should get himself acquainted with some safety and first aid measures in case of emergencies. Get a first aid kit, no matter how small. Go online and watch some videos on how to handle some emergency situations during a ride/trip. |

izzou: No vex abeg
But did you see the part where eherbal first mentioned him and insulted him?
Or that one isn't rude to you? Some clear points were hit at and are left for the person they were directed at to take proper actions. To the best of my knowledge, those points are the genesis of all these arguments. I believe if he has gotten the experiences he is trying to make us believe, then he should allow us have a feel of those experiences through his responses and approach to matters here. Many people come here and become the dream characters they wished they could be, but never had the opportunity to become in real life and we just allow and over look them. However, when you politely insult, look down or spite other people's struggles and source of income, you definitely should accept whatever will come your way. Not that I am justifying what eherbal is doing or saying, but it was expected and he is the first and might not be the last to come after the person who is trying to rubbish their line of hustle. |
