Maxi Okwu, the convener of the group, on Wednesday, said in a statement that special investigators commissioned by SEG found Mr Chime lying ill at the Wellington Humane Hospital Swiss Cottage, London.
Our investigation revealed that Mr. Chime was indeed admitted at the Wellington Hospital, Wellington Place, St Johns Wood. But when we contacted the hospital to confirm if Mr. Chime is still admitted at the facility, we were told that he has been discharged two months ago.
“He is no longer with us,” said a lady receptionist over the phone. “He was discharged in November; the last week of November.”
She, however, refused to disclose if Mr Chime was of sound health when he was discharged from the hospital.
According to information on its website, the Wellington Hospital claims to be the “largest independent hospital in the United Kingdom.  It also boasts of luxury en suite facilities with internet connection and fax machine.
