ChristCee:
Do you know the funniest thing about these pictures? I am living in Russia and I am looking at this news as if it happened in a different foreign country far away. As in, Russia is very big and unique. My city is about 7- 9 hours from Moscow based on your type of plane.
.
Most flight would make a stop in Krasnoyarsk or Irkutsk before going to my city increasing travel time to like 13 hours.
.
In comparison, direct from Nigeria to Moscow before Ukraine war was about 6 to 8 hours!
.
.
But every part of Russia is developed. This is where UK and europe. should learn. You colonized a lot of countries and milked them dry...but Russia has a lot of federations in it and the government equally developed every part. Every part of Russia wants to keep being Russia because they love the leadership but how many African countries want to keep being a part of their colonial empire? It says a lot.
.
I am not a 'pro Putin' I really see myself as a neutral person in world politics but to be really honest, If a country in Africa was colonized by Russia, that country would be competing with Europe and china in terms of development today. Look at all the breakaway countries from former USSR which one of them is poor and suffering? Russia was not milking those people, Russia was developing it.
.
Judging by the very few people that live in my city 350k you would think this place would be a village but no! Pretoria and Johannesburg combined cannot be compare with Yakutsk even though this is the coldest city in the world.
.
To crown it all, Russians love black people. You can even see it in President Putin's policies. Unfortunately we were colonized by Europeans that actually hate black people. One fool from Belgium was even cutting arms of thousands of people in Congo! Chai...Africa has really suffered in the hands of these European supremacists.
.
One of my female friends in the city often send me pictures of half cast kids asking me what I think our baby would look like...I keep avoiding that question.
.
We walk on the street at night as if it's afternoon
No gun violence.
People kiss and hug and display affection publicly without being mocked
.
Everywhere is peaceful
No one avoids you in the bus because of your colour.
.
If people look at you too much just know they are fascinated and want to talk. A simple Привет! And you will see them smiling and asking you questions.
.
.
Honestly...Russia is the country Africa should have befriended a long time ago.
Thanks for the expository on Russia. Just like everything/country has its pros and cons, i believe Russia too. What's their education system/language like??

I was privileged to be at this year Catholic Judicial year of inauguration.
A paper was presented Titled; Rapid increase in the nullity of marriage cases in abuja. A thing of concern. The statistics were scary but not shocking.
I think, there is more need for priest, pastors and all who involved in the preparation of couples for matrimony should do more in educating spouse on their duties of new state of life.

Politicians have succeeded in dividing us along religion and tribal lines. They know when there is unity among us, they won't achieve their evil agenda on us but the dumb amongst us continue to champion their coast at the detriment of all us knowingly or unknowingly.
I was listening to a program on radio, i was glad how Muslims assisted a Christian man to get justice and vis visa. The day remove these toxic in our system, that ll be the end of bad leaders occupying position.

Family / Re: My 13 Years Old Has Become Terrible! I Want To Send Her Back To Nigeria by akaahs(m): 3:32pm On Feb 24
Mrperfecto:
I will just be brief without writing too much.

We are based we have 4 children, my first child is 13 from my previous relationship, she has become very terrible, she doesn't listen to me or my wife. She tells her that she is not her biological mother and she cannot control her. She had threatened to call the police on my wife telling her if she touch her she will fight her back and call the police. She goes to school and closes at 3.45 her school is 10 mins walk from home, but she is always late for home.

She comes home around 6 sometimes 7pm , as I am writing now every friday she closes at 12.30 but she is still hasn't come back home yet.

I am on my way to work. I start at 6.30pm till 2.30am so I rarely get to see her and she only misbehaving when I am not around. So far we have seized her phone because we had found so many inappropriate messages exchanges between her and boys. We had also removed the TV from her room and her behaviour has gotten worse. She is behaving like she's possessed.

My wife and I are fed up. Even her siblings are tired of her. We want to send her back to Nigeria maybe in a boarding school until she is 18 in order to protect her younger ones. If we keep her and she continues with her terrible behaviour I may beat her badly and we may end up loosing all 4 children to the authorities.

Please what advice will you give to me concerning this issue?
If only u have brothers/sisters like mine thay can not spare the rod and can handle her like their daughter, i support u bringing her to continue in boarding school preferably catholic/mission school that can instill moral into her.

Career / Re: Should I Go For A Masters Degree Or Remain Jobless At Home? by akaahs(m): 7:36pm On Feb 20
BucketMan:
Hello guys, please I need your advice. I'm currently in a dilemma on what to do with my life presently. I'm a lawyer called to the bar in December 2022. Afterwards I practiced in a law firm for 6 months before resigning due to the meagre salary and harsh work environment. I just couldn't keep up, Although I can confirm that legal practice was very terrific but it's something that you can only enjoy if you're well paid at the Law firm or company you work with to effectively maintain the standard expected from you.

I've been jobless for 8 months now as all the efforts I put into securing a job ended in futility. I'm thinking of going for my masters degree(LLM) instead of staying idle at home with my parents. I think by doing this I can keep myself busy and improve on my career academically while also trying to find a good job in today's Nigeria.

Serious advice needed please
Funny people everywhere. Instead of gaining experience first, u re only after money as if the employer is paying base on ur experience. Make una learn to master what una learned from school be4 determining either ro master it or switch job/career.
What are u mastering??

Ahahaaa 😀 😀. My current job is a connection but i do go to other job interviews to get a side hustle as an engineer.
The last interview was somewhat funny in the sense that, the owner of the firm has already chosen is preferred candidate among us base on personal encounter with the guy during one of professional seminar. The rest of us that came was a mere formality. The questions were interactive and base on personal experience.

[quote author=press9jatv post=128453640] I’m just think Since I have been following this case for some time now, our girls are still following to these wicked set of guys. Infact most of our Nigeria ladies married them, it’s when they are punching themselves that the people will know whom the man was. Nawaoooo ooooo. Most of them will still fall to this type of guy this year again. It’s very unfortunate. Our ladies falls for money in this generation. Very unfortunate situation. [/quote

matify83:
This is the way to go.

Why store up food in warehouses outside of the market environment and create artificial scarcity so you can maximize profit at the expense of your fellow citizens?

As long as those warehouses were loaded by Street boys, they can always be located.

Remembered those days of "essential commodities" in the late 80's. Every hoarded commodity discovered was auctioned by the military to the general public at specified prices.

Hoarding of food should be designated as TREASON.
Delusional, even every business men release all the foods in their warehouse, what is the purchasing power of the citizens??
Government should tackle their incompetency first, business men and women are out there to maximize profit. If Government bought foof directly from farmers just like the business men, the citizens can go and buy at less price or subsidize rate.
