3D Mark released a new benchmarking tool 3D Mark Time Spy which utilizes DX12 in Windows 10, had to give it a whirl at stock and overclockd settings. ![]() Link http://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/31630/spy/30712#

Lana1:I can't honestly remember if I did...do you have yours working. How did you get the rockstar app? |
kimco:Price is right, it's still around £160 in the UK for a GTX 780. Nvidia cards don't loose their value quickly. Bet you are killing titles at 1080p with that. |

Please read the first post thanks Title: Life is Strange Resolution: 800x600 Genre: Action, Adventure Comments: I was looking forward to playing this as it had an 'overwhelming positive' review on steam. However at an average of 13FPS, it was completely unplayable. ![]()

Title: Rocket League Resolution: 1024x768 Genre: Action, Racing, Sports Comments: This title works but is best suited for a dGPU, playing at the it's lowest resolution setting 1024x768 felt like playing tetris. Intel HD Gaming Link - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5gP1lXvmMe5QVQxanJoREcxbG8
|
Title: Sanctum 2 Resolution: 640x480 Genre: Action, Indie, Strategy Comments: Unplayable though average framerate was 25FPS. Gameplay was choppy...destination - recycle bin
|
purplekayc:I got mine from a torrent I think, it's been a while but I tried the fix from oceanofgames and that didn't work either. Gave up trying |
Title: Shank Resolution: 1280x720 - ALL postprocessing OFF Genre: Beat 'em up Comments: This game runs like a dream at 1280x720, averaging 36FPS, highest recorded so far. I was hooked on this game for about 1hour just smashing and beating up the baddies, reminds me of Streets of Rage or Bare knuckles....fun to play. Will be keeping this for on-the-go gaming for sure. 2D and cartoony but gameplay is what I like. Intel HD Gaming Link - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5gP1lXvmMe5QVQxanJoREcxbG8

tmanis:Sorry I failed to mention, I don't live in Nigeria |
swisscarter:I think you'll probably know more than me on this one..I've not seen/heard of this before. |
purplekayc:Got 290X Crossfired. purplekayc:The GTX 780/970 are higher than my budget allows and will generally perform around R9 290X levels so, would like to show how a cheaper GPU performs and what IQ setting to get a locked 60FPS. Monitor- LG34UM57. I need a working copy of GTA V...one I downloaded was a dud! purplekayc:It's gory and the executions are nice. |
3KINGZ18:Yes bro, it's PC version |
Nosainwe:Intel GMA is 6 years older than Intel HD, so my guess will be no. I'm barely getting playable framerate with mine. But, by all mines try it. |
Title: Takedown: Red Sabre Resolution: 640x480, - unable to toggle Image Quality setting..bug? Genre: Action, Simulation, Strategy Comments: Framerate was all over the place causing a lot of stutter, even with an average of 22FPS. I think being unable to toggle the IQ setting was the issue, could probably have achieved better gameplay on lower setting. The AI in this game? Very poor, they wouldn't respond to gun shots fired...c'mon!

Lana1:Yea, you get discounts 10%, I think. So buying a game worth £40 get £4 knocked off (subscription fee for a month) but it's not enough to beat CDKeys so I don't bother with it. Once bought, you own it for life like others..but if you unsubscibe from Origin, byebye Vault titles only ![]() |

I got NFS2016 from CDkeys for £20 right. This was the standard version when Origin sold the Deluxe version for £55 ( wasn't a good deal tbh)..I get a upgrade to Deluxe now...hahaha! Imagine paying £55 and then 4 months later is on Origin Access, free-ish to play. |
Lana1:Pele! ![]() |
Lana1:Some people go clubbing every weekend and spend 10-50 times that amount in one night though. LOL! £4 a month isn't a terrible investment imo. NFS 2016 is still over £40, plus you get a library of titles to choose from too which gets updated frequently, if one enjoys different game genres and isn't always after the latest AAA title, it's not a bad deal. edit: You also get discounts on new releases usually 10-15% off. NFS 2016 right now, I can get 55% off being a subscriber. |
Jack188:It's clearly a racing simulator. you should check out racing simulator setups instead ![]() |
kimco:If you want to, tell me how much you paid for it or just send an email like normal. |
kimco:Far from rich bro...we dey try here too..the world wasn't built in a day so is the case of my PC..took over a year to get where it is. |
KazukiIto:I don't o , brother. Why what's up? |
kimco:send me a message- blivak010@gmail.com. How much did you pay for it? Where did you buy it from....make we yarn bro |
Tom Clancy's first Splinter Cell is FREE on uPlay... good memories on the Xbox. Need for Speed 2016: Deluxe Edition in Origin's Vault for a small fee every month. |
kimco:Amen o! I claim the blessing. The GTX960 or R9 380/380x is to run some more benchmarks. Do you game on a PC or laptop? What GPU do you have bro? |
Seeing the performance gains with Vulkan, it was a no brainer to push some more pixels through the 290X and see how it'll handle near 4K resolutions and I am pleased with the results. AMD GCN cards ( from GCN1.1, I think) have a featured called VSR(virtual super resolution) that allow the GPU to upscale resolutions upto 3840x2160 on a 1080p monitor where it gets downsampled. For the 290X, it's maximum is 3200x1800, well not quite 4K resolutions but pushing 5.7million pixels, no b joke. Average framerate was around 55FPS, with Ultra settings, totally playable.

LordReed:Pressing shift makes character run normally, Doom is to walk. |
swisscarter:Is it playable? Do you get keyboard/controller lag? |
LordReed:The fast pace is awesome. Prior to playing, I went into the kb&mouse option and found holding the shift key is to walk. I was like dayyyuuumm! |
Doom 2016...this is an amazing reboot. welcome gun 'n' run! ![]() |
DOOM 2016 @ 1080P Ultra settings, everything absolutely maxed out. Vulkan has brought improvements and scales very well with the number of CPU cores you have. Frametimes have reduced and translates to a higher framerate. Here we see a 28% increase in performance...which is very welcome...Nvidia's pascal hasn't seen such improvements, they probably release a patch soon but bear in mind this is a 3 year old AMD GPU. I'm impressed. DX11 had a much bigger CPU overhead and that crippled AMD cards. DX12 and Vulkan give some performance boost to older gen cards. ![]()
