6. Oh Bull…!!
Brian and Rebecca Pepper of Tamworth, Australia had just gone through the wedding of their dreams and were posing for photographs to capture the event when the unexpected happened — a bull began to take an interest in the couple. The beast slowly but threateningly approached the two, but photographer Rachel Deane instructed the newlyweds to continue posing because the intruder was “adding some extra interest to their images.” After some time, however, the bull began sniffing Rebecca’s dress, then kicking up dust, then aggressively charging towards the couple.

8. T-Rex Wrecks Wedding.
This One Is My Personal Favourite. Photographer Quinn Miller had this amazing idea and all he had to do was ask the couple [Lowder and Young] and guests to run from an invisible dinosaur and they did it in one shot. As soon as the photographer uploaded this picture on his social media page, the picture got viral and got shared many times gaining instant and huge popularity. Look for yourself

Celebrities / Kechi Of America's Got Role Model Award by Akeelahtunez(m): 10:33am On Jul 01, 2017
America’s Got Talent star, Kechi Okwuchi, bags role model award
By Akpraise - July 1, 2017

Sosoliso crash victim and America’s Got Talent star, Kechi Okwuchi has been named Role Model of the Year by organisers of Keeping Marriage Alive Initiative, an annual event to celebrate Nigerians, who have shown exemplary character in their chosen careers.

Twenty-eight-year-old Okwuchi, who has won millions of fans all over the world for her exciting display at the 2017 America’s Got Talent show, has equally attracted praises for her academic exploits in the United States, finishing with a First Class degree from the University of Thomas Houston, Texas.

The Imo State native, who is one of only two survivors of a 2005 plane crash involving a Sosoliso Airline, has undergone more than 100 surgeries on her road to recovery.

According to co-Founder of KMAI, Mrs. Ngozi Okonkwo, Okwuchi was chosen as recipient of the award because of her amazing singing talents and unwavering determination to make a difference against all odds.

She said, “The essence of the KMA Awards, which comes up on July 1, is to recognise and celebrate Nigerians from all walks of life that are impacting their immediate environment and beyond through various means.

“The choice of Kechi Okwuchi as recipient of the Role Model of the Year this time was so simple considering how much she has inspired millions around the world through her wonderful performance at the 2017 America’s Got Talent show.

“She is not only talented in music; Kechi is also a star in her academics. On her way to clinching a first class, she broke several academic records in the United States where she currently resides. These are after her miraculous escape from death during the Sosoliso Airline crash in 2005 that killed about 107 people.

“So, for us, the young woman is a role model worth celebrating and emulating.”

Speaking further, Okonkwo revealed that the annual event, which had honoured the likes of Prof. Pat Utomi in the past, will also recognise the efforts of other individuals including couples that have been good examples for others to follow in the society.

Abacha Died Of A Handshake, Not From Eating Apple - Major Shocking Details Finally Get Released

post-nigeria.com

Jun 20, 2017 6:57 AM

The former Chief Security Officer, CSO, to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, has revealed that Abacha did not die after eating an apple from his concubines.

Narrating how the former Head of State died, Al-Mustapha said contrary to insinuations, the sudden collapse of the health system of Abacha started on “Sunday, 7th June, 1998, right from the Abuja International Airport, immediately after one of the white security operatives or personnel who accompanied President Yasser Arafat, of Palestine, shook hands with him, Abacha.”

Al-Mustapha, said shortly after the handshake, he “noticed the change in the countenance of the late Commander-in-Chief, and I informed the Aide-de-Camp, Lt. Col. Abdallah, accordingly. He however, advised that we keep a close watch on the Head of State.”

He said: “Later in the evening of 8th June, 1998, around 6p.m; his doctor came around, administered an injection to stabilize him. He was advised to have a short rest. Happily, enough, by 9p.m; the Head of State was bouncing and receiving visitors until much later when General Jeremiah Timbut Useni, the then Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, came calling. He was fond of the Head of State. They were very good friends.

“They stayed and chatted together till about 3.35a.m. A friend of the house was with me in my office and as he was bidding me farewell, he came back to inform me that the FCT Minister, General Useni was out of the Head of State’s Guest House within the Villa. I then decided to inform the ADC and other security boys that I would be on my way home to prepare for the early morning event at the International Conference Centre.

“At about 5a.m; the security guards ran to my quarters to inform me that the Head of State was very unstable. At first, I thought it was a coup attempt. Immediately, I prepared myself fully for any eventuality. As an intelligence officer and the Chief Security Officer to the Head of State for that matter, I devised a means of diverting the attention of the security boys from my escape route by asking my wife to continue chatting with them at the door – she was in the house while the boys were outside. From there, I got to the Guest House of the Head of State before them.

“When I got to the bedside of the Head of State, he was already gasping. Ordinarily, I could not just touch him. It was not allowed in our job. But under the situation on ground, I knelt close to him and shouted, ‘General Sani Abacha, Sir, please grant me permission to touch and carry you.’

“I again knocked at the stool beside the bed and shouted in the same manner, yet he did not respond. I then realized there was a serious danger. I immediately called the Head of State’s personal physician, Dr. Wali, who arrived the place under eight minutes from his house. He immediately gave Oga – General Abacha –two doses of injection, one at the heart and another close to his neck.

“This did not work apparently as the Head of State had turned very cold. He then told me that the Head of State was dead and nothing could be done after all. I there and then asked the personal physician to remain with the dead body while I dashed home to be fully prepared for the problems that might arise from the incident.

“As soon as I informed my wife, she collapsed and burst into tears. I secured my house and then ran back. At that point, the Aide-de-Camp had been contacted by me and we decided that great caution must be taken in handling the grave situation.

“Again, I must reiterate that the issue of my boss dying on top of women was a great lie just as the insinuation that General Sani Abacha ate and died of poisoned apples was equally a wicked lie.”

Lasting change comes at a high cost and discomfort. It's just like when you attempt to change your life, weight, attitude and so on. Does it come cheap or easy?, that is the point here. Genuine change at any level is tough and cruel,Nigeria will not be an exception.
Nevertheless,i understand our clamouring and sad complaining voices. I can feel our pains and hardship,it's obvious everything seems difficult, goods are more expensive and so many more. I know these things, but let us understand that the president is trying too, change is a process and the pains we are experiencing today
are instruments of change. But we Nigerians are not patient. It is just so unfortunate that most Nigerians lack basic understanding.
Apparently, the problem of Nigeria is in the hands of Nigerians living in Nigeria. Our failures and problems did not start today,it did not just begin when Buhari became president. The failures we are witnessing today was planted a long time ago, ever since the birth of Nigeria. Nigeria was just so unfortunate to have had the first set of elites she had. We all want things to get better but we are not supportive, nobody is thinking of what is getting better and how things can get more better. Instead we keep on pointing fingers, cursing and criticizing. In truth,we Nigerians are doing more harm than good to our nation.
Lerone Bennett.Jnr once said that: "A nation is an amalgam of critical decisions made at crucial forks in the road. A nation is a choice. It chooses itself at fateful forks in the road by turning left or right,by giving up something or taking something-and in the giving up and taking,in the deciding and not deciding, the nation becomes. And even afterwards, the people and the nation are defined by the fork, and the decision that was made there,as well as the decision that was not made engraves itself into things, into institutions, nerves, muscles, tendons, and the first decision requires a second decision and the second decision requires a third, and it goes on and on until one day the people wake up and discover that they are corrupt and divided, that they built war and and hate into the very air they breathe".
This is a clarion call for us all,it is time for us to wake up and do away with our shallow mentality and old habits. This is the time for us to support our nation Nigeria. If Nigeria is going to get any better,it depends on we Nigerians and not just the president. It is time for us to be receptive. Begin to hold yourself accountable for this country today.

Nigeria,Africa's most populous nation and pulsating power house as we all know;has been filled with a bit of unnecessary apocalyptic trepidation and most importantly something i call "social media decadence"relating to the state of the economy ever since former General Muhammadu Buhari took over the mantle of leadership as the president of Nigeria.
However,a gargantuan pity it is that our teenagers, youths, adults
like Nigerians in general, are considered to be ignoble, castigators and rumor mongers. I have tinkered a bit about this, and i believe a lot of good things can be done through the social media. Lots of great messages can be passed through the social media. It is only that i observe most people also use it for not so good things.
It is evident in our nation today, that the social media has become a place for ridicule and derision,a place to fabricate silly messages, disseminate rumors and also for caricatural presentation. Everyday,Nigerians leverage the power of the social media to deride and revile the president. Some say it's just a mere satire, but i do not see this barbaric manner as a "mere satire" anymore. And the worst thing is that it has become a norm and no one sees anything wrong with it. If you think otherwise, they begin to think you are not normal. I was more aghast when i learnt that the social media was last week awash with rumors on the President's state of health, creating the impression that the president is dead. This really hit me,what insolence!. The truth is; it is only in this part of the world that someone will wake up in the morning and pray for the death of the president, and feel happy about it for no good reason. I wonder what it is really wrong with us,the question is;what has the president done to deserve such?,how will a fellow Nigerian feel if someone did that to his/her father?. And it goes on and on like that,so many unanswerable questions. Also,on the issue of fighting against corruption; the only thing some could say was: "The president should bring back our corruption". I mean, what a meaningless and unconventional thing to say. Surprisingly, some people do this just to remain relevant on social media. I guess the problem is we do not think anymore. But note this; before you speak or write, let your words pass through three gates:"is it true","is it kind",and "is it necessary". Probably this will help a few Nigerians in reasoning.
Another thing i find really amusing is when we Nigerians play the blame game and point fingers at President Buhari, saying he is the source of Nigeria's failures. I know he is not a perfect man,but because the economy is not in its best shape right now does not make him a participant in the orchestration of our problems and failures. I think, and i know some will agree with me and many will definitely not. "Tobi is being too sentimal" they may say. But this is the plain truth,we keep pointing fingers, this is what we are doing. And no one is willing to listen or accept that fact.
Considering the state of our economy at the time President Buhari took over the mantle of leadership, it was evident that there was no reasonable amount of money in the treasury to start with. The president came to meet an economy that was already suffering recession, occasioned by the actions and inactions of previous administrations. What miracle can anyone perform in such a circumstance. And so,he was faced with challenges which affected his will to start fulfilling his promises and make things happen as expected.
Therefore,if anyone is of the believe that close to two years, nothing significant has been achieved by this administration; then i guess such person needs to reason well and look inwards. However, some Nigerians also glamorize regret as if regret is a virtue. They complain that they regret voting Buhari as president. "Is this the change we voted for?" they ask. If you really voted "change" what did you have in mind?, a magical and miraculous performance?.

Nigeria can only be great if this actualized and maintained,
