Good morning guys,
I called my account officer in Fidelity bank and he told me that there is a new policy from CBN that one can only invest from 50 million naira in treasury bill. I find that difficult to believe . Please can anyone confirm this information please?

Am using N0 3 ( third) account officer this year because of issues like this. Change the account officer or go to another bank

Not in the way you expect. Inflation affects everything in the same manner. Assume you have N200,000, and you intend to buy an Air Conditioner unit. You visit the market, and the seller informs you that the final price is N220,000. Unable to raise the full amount, you decide to invest in a 2-year bond with the expectation of returning with more funds to buy the AC later. However, you return after two years only to discover that the same AC unit is now being sold for N550,000. The amount you receive from the bond after the 2-year waiting period is only N280,000.

U r right but am not in agreement with ur submission 100%.

Did u consider DEPRECIATION effects on the initial air condition u could have gotten at #220,000 2 years earlier?

I have not been able to do it. I don't know how to go about it and my broker is not knowledgeable in it.

Which broakage house? It's a simple thing.

Central Securities Clearing System Plc
1st Floor Stock Exchange House,
Custom St,
Lagos Island,
Lagos.

Write handwriting or type letter to CSCS using the above address, inform them of your intention to move your bond/ holdings to your CSCS account.

Scan the letter to your bank account includes your broakage number, clearing House number, CSCS number. Tell your bank to forward the letter to CSCS on your behalf.

Let me know if u have any challenges

Alagbaka not Agbalaka
https://thenationonlineng.net/firm-floats-n4-2b-bond-to-build-ondo-power-plant/

The turbines were just delivered in December (https://independent.ng/power-ondo-ag-gov-aiyedatiwa-to-take-delivery-of-n7-8bn-worth-gas-engine/) so not yet operational. Paying coupon from financing cashflows could be a mini-Ponzi.

On the other hand, the ultimate Guarantor is the Ondo State Government so there is your recourse.

I believe RayRay06677 asked a similar question in September, and later confirmed the coupon is usually paid a couple of days late.

Thanks for the insight chief
