Now the guy had done first stage and he got 60k, time to come ad finish second stage, to install all the accessories and he's been posting me..For over a month now, one excuse to the other, I will come today, I will come tomorrow.
Pls, can I get another plumber and let him finish the work and negotiate and pay the new plumber? Can this plumber come to start disturbing tomorrow?

If you see the wood getting bad, you should be wise enough to know that you should not use it, especially when it has been exposed to rain and decaying.

Thanks for the swift response, but ur response is a bit harsh.

So if the formwork are still strong visibly, one can reuse it like 7 times according to a source?

But if the formwork are steel, they can be reuse till when they are not suitable again.

The yield strength of steel does not depend on the quantity /numbers of rebars but varies with the type of rebars.
For high yield it is between 410-500 N/mm2 while for mild steel is 250N/mm2.

For your columns or other structural members, the quantity and size of rebars are gotten from the designs and calculations of the steel area of that member.

Thanks engineer

U cannot confirm on your own. Visit your study let them confirm if they have uploaded it. Last semester, I know of many persons who submitted but their Study Centre didn't do their part well. Those students couldn't defend their project (Masters students) and that was how they missed graduation o. It's this semester they are hoping to do the defence.

God bless you immensely chief, I will follow it up judiciously

No, that's due to poor craftsmanship or supervision work.

We r on d same page, it's still the engineer/supervisor fault. U must u know the capabilities of ur artisan nd u must force them to use line nd plum at all level to avoid issues like this

The engineer said it will take shape once we continue with the work.... Land is not sloppy, engineer didn't give any good reason why it is so...

I want put a round ground beam, don't know if it will correct it.

Sorry to say this, ur engineer is a quack Engineer! What is the work of setting out before digging? Or what is the work of a plum and line rope bn used to align walls, well am not an engineer but from my own little knowledge I have, from foundation to the lintel, all walls must level irrespective of the land shape. Pls do a critical correction now to avoid issues. I think the plint beam will help a lot but if it's an upstairs, pls let the Experts engineer here advise U.

BEFORE I CONTINUE; WHAT IF SOMEONE FOLLOWING IS HOPING TO BUILD SAME STRUCTURE ON A WATERLOGGED LAND?

It's only fair to consider estimating for those group of persons.

so, we would repeat the process after setting-out but this time, we assume the structure is to be built on a waterlogged land.

> Blinding
> Rebar to foundation
> Formwork to foundation
> Concrete to foundation
> Rebar to German floor

The process above is equivalent to the stage we are at for those building on a solid / firm land.

Watch Out.

Nice job u r doing chief,

Pls currently like how much can one estimate for erecting slab on a 50*20 building with 2 staircase using local iron or TMT iron?

The white pipes and the gray colour types do exactly the same work, the difference is the brands. While some companies produce white colour pipes, others produce gray colours. They are both good in their uses, the gray types are known to be stronger.

20mm and 25mm are two different sizes that does two different things, carrying different sizes of wires when the time for house wiring comes.

Welcome.

Thanks for the insight Engineer, appreciate

Good day sir,

20mm should be used for lighting, fire alarm.

Using 25mm boxes means your electrician is using 25mm pipe would be used for lighting. You spend more using 25mm
Stop end is good, let him use for the last lighting box ion a row

Thanks for the insight chief

Good day Oga topsy23, thanks for the good job.

Please someone gave me a quote for decking slab conduit materials. He made mentioned of 25mm dignity pipes, 25mm 4 way box, 25mm stop-end, 25mm coupler nd gum.

Pls is there any need for STOP-END because it's rarely mentioned in conduit materials? Then, is 20mm better or 25mm for decking conduit?
