The latest GT App is Gtworld and it's on playstore. They have been trying to phase out the GTCo app for a while, I guess it's finally done. On Gtworld app if you increase limit, the maximum used to be 5M before the latest update. I don't even know if you can increase limit on your own now again because that option seem to invisible on the app after the update.


You can try installing the Gtworld app and see if you will be able to use it.

Stanbic used to be the hardest of all of them. You can not do any big transaction except you have increased your limit. Increasing limit will require you to sign an undertaking letter with a witness before approval in the banking hall before they introduced their holdco all encompassing Stanbic IBTC app. However, I think there is an option to do it on the app now.

Well I don't know the version of bank app you are using but I can tell you categorically that I have done transfers on my bank app of up to 2million and I only needed to use my PIN.

If you own app has been configured to only work with token then I would suggest you go to Google Play store and download a GTBank soft token but I think you need to link it to your account before you can use it

It is not a rule that you need a hardware token before you can transfer above 100K from your GTBank account.

I also have an account with them and have done single transfers of 2million without a hardware or software token.

What you should do is to log into your account go to the settings for daily limit increase it to 2 or 5 million.

If this fails then tomorrow go to any of their branches and request a transfer form, fill it with the details of the account you want to transfer to then ask them to process it

Did you submit your utility bills, NIN, passport, references etc before opening the account,


You should be able to transfer up to N5 million through the banking app


First Bank USSD you can even transfer minimum of 100k and then visit the bank to help you upgrade to more than that

You are right to an extent. Part of the reason is that there is no uniformity in standard of materials. People source the locally available materials, whether sand, granite or cement for their construction needs. These materials are not always there same.
Differences exist in terms of their composition and aggregate. For instance, the moisture content, impurities, particle sizes and natural composition often differ. These variations will effect mix ratio.
Therefore without experience, it would be naive and counterproductive to go by any standard mix ratio . So, those ratios only serve as guide. In practice, it is advisable to actually go by what is on ground. A little more or a little less from the acceptable ratio.
If one must use ratio, then standard materials must be sourced for consistency . Stores like Home Depot, lowes etc have sand in cement like bags that have pass through quality control from the bagging factory. With those, one can’t go wrong with standard mix ratio.

Please advice me on what to do with the 25 bags of dangote falcons; can I use it for foundation laying, or should I use it to mould block or should I mixed it up with supaset/dangote 3x and mould block? What should I do please?

Ratio 1:4:4 isn't okay.

Whatever size/ grade of granite you choose, DOES NOT affect the mix ratio if the right batching method is used.

Different sizes/gradation of granite is considered because of availability, arrangement of the rebars and thickness of the concrete element.

Structurally the least ratio for concrete work should be 1:2:4 unless it's a lean concrete.

When you reduce the granite you reduce the strength.

Hello house I'm having a little confusion as to mix ratio. in delta state most concrete are mixed at 1 bag of cement 7/8 pans of sand n 7/8 pans of granite. which is a 1:4:4 mix. and it's a norm. someone here once told me a mix shouldn't be more than 1:2:4. which is 1 bag of cement 4 pans of sand n 8pans of granite. is there any reason why the difference?

The price of those pipes are too low. Not sure the electrician quoted for original pipe. Based on the amount for 5bundles of 20mm @ 20,000, it means a bundle 4,000naira.

By the way the size determine the price, the error up there is 3/4 down was gotten for 7k per ton,if you still don't get it. I don't know what to say.
While the larger sizes( larger than those use for fuelling station ground flooring. were gotten at 11k per ton.

Have a read on your quote I never stated that 5tons was 14k, I was only giving you price advice on the cost, as it varies depending on sizes....

Mind you I am on the journey of a factory construction in same Ogun State( very remote community) and all prices are still relatively low to what you have expended.
Visit rcc, KOPEC, cnc, crane, quarries they would give you the prices of the various sizes, in my own case I made use of 3/4down and it was 11k per ton from KOPEC.... the driver charges 40k for the transportation 20 tons size truck, and I have made purchase of about 80ton and still counting. So you can do your assignment again and this time around diligently.

Tons of granite ranges from 5k to 14k

And there are loads of QUARRIES( KOPEC, IJEBU ODE, RCC, AND OTHERS) in ogun State, making it more cheaper.

Not quite as cheap as you think o. Paying unskilled labourers may not be as costly, but paying skilled artisans is a different ball game all together, not to even mention cost of materials and logistics. For instance, when I did my roofing earlier this year, price of bond stone-coated sheets was 4.7k per sqm here in Bayelsa, while in Lagos, it was 3.9k per sqm...of course I got it from Lagos and still made some savings despite having to pay twice for logistics. Just a couple of months after, Lagos price had dropped to 3.75k per sqm while in Bayelsa it increased to 4.9k per sqm, instead of decreasing.
