Please I really need advice on this.

quote author=Akhat post=129828029]Good morning House,
My agency carried out a Nigeria credit check on my profile using my BVN for a new job. And the check came back with my names not arranged in the right order( Middle name was provided as first name). Now the agency wants me to complete a credit check on experian, and directed me to indicate on experian that I have a previous name, and then provide the names in the (wrong) order of arrangement that was in the Nigerian credit check result. And also just put any date in experian as the date I started using the name that is in the right order.

Though some of my colleagues that had the same issue did as instructed, but I am yet to do mine because I am worried about any future implication.
Please what would you advice.[/quote]

The dom she was working doesn't sponsor. And the ones we have seen so far that sponsors are requesting that one has a car. She has started the process of getting a driver licence, which might take some time, because she just in the process writing the theory driving test. Please if you know any that does not require a car immediately before giving sponsorship, please kindly help with the link.
Although a care home is our preferred choice.

Good morning house. My wife has been applying to different care homes and agencies for sponsorship. She recently changed job from Domiciliary care worker to support worker and her agency does not sponsor. It's been difficult as she is only getting offers from agencies and care homes that are not sponsoring, while she is getting rejection mails from the ones providing sponsorship. This month January will make it 6 months care experience. We have even tried outside our location (liverpool), as far as Scotland and Northern Ireland still no positive result. Our student visa expires in few months time, and presently can't afford PSW for the whole family.
Please we need help. If anyone knows of any agency or care home that is giving sponsorship should kindly assist please. God bless.

My understanding of how switching works is that you have to register with the current supplier first (in this case BG) as a customer then inform the switching team of your preferred supplier that you want to switch to them. They will take care of the rest
Thanks, I will do that.

You need to be a customer with British gas before you can switch. That's how it works.
Thanks

You need to infirm British gas of your move into the apartment using this link

https://www.britishgas.co.uk/new-home/move-in/energy-quote

They will make sure you get energy in your new apartment pending switch.

You can switch to octopus using my referral link, we both get £50

https://share.octopus.energy/young-glow-364
Thanks.
I have tried this particular link before, I could not find any part on how to switch from BG, rather what it shows is how to switch to BG. Or is there a particular way I need to navigate the link?

You don’t really need to contact them before you switch. Just switch to your preferred gas vendor, they will be the one to contact British Gas for the switch.
.

British gas supplies only electricity to the apartment. I contacted Octopus, they told me to first contact British gas who are the current electric supplier, before they can take over from them. Or should I try other good electricity provider and see if they can help me notify British gas of my intention to switch?

Good evening. Please how can I contact British Gas. I have not been able to reach them through the contact numbers on the website. I just moved into a new apartment, and I found out that the energy supplier to the apartment is British gas, but I do not wish to continue with them. I want to notify them but have been unable to get across to them. Please anyone with contact number or email that they respond to should help me with it please.

Please I need advice on how to handle this situation.
I am a student, and I work in a home. I have been away from work for 6 weeks now because I got internship role in an engineering firm. The internship is to last for two and half months. In order to keep my job at the care home and not break the 20hrs visa rule, I took a one month unpaid leave. It's 6 weeks already, and the care home has been calling asking me to resume. I told them I may not be able to resume immediately, that I have course work and assignmentz I need to complete. Please how so I handle this.

Please can I use my current UK address as the the address we will be staying.
It's the same address that was provided as my address in their application.

Viruses:
It looks Ok except the living arrangements (personal opinion though). I would rather it is presented as if there is a living arrangement already instead of the intention.

Just like schengen visa application where you need evidence of hotel booking (even though you haven't paid) instant of saying "I will book a hotel".

You also don't need to mention your current living condition. Consider the below:

We are responsible for his living arrangements and we will be staying at Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1AB. This is what I used and it was my office address because I had not booked airbnb at the time.

I also put my visa application number, passport number and IHS payment reference number with the child's visa application number, passport number and IHS reference number so that they can tie everything together.

Good morning, and happy weekend. My wife and my baby are applying as dependents to join me in UK. I came into UK in January as a student.
I would like to know if the details in this consent letter for my son is ok, or if I need to remove/add some information

Thank you very much, I really appreciate.

ProfJYK:
I can relate.

But then, whatever sacrifice you have to make, pls do only the internship. A combination of earned annual leave and unpaid leave should get you covered for the 10 weeks. The internship is valuable as well as the need to not breach the 20hour rule
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Akhat: 12:10am On May 14, 2023
I just started the job less than 2 months ago. I don't know if I am entitled to annual leave yet, but I will find out.
Thank you much for the advice

Phayie:
You should be entitled to annual leave. Like someone has suggested, tell your manager you need to travel for an urgent issue, then ask if you could apply for your annual leave
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Akhat: 12:07am On May 14, 2023
We just finished our first semester exams, but but the school has said we won't be going on holidays, rather we will commence our dissertation and then resume second semester in september. And they stated clearly that the summer period is not a holiday period, therefore we not to work more than 20hrs.

LagosismyHome:
That 20hours is only term time..
If you are doing internship then that is not term time so I believe you can work both

If its me I would hussle both but the internships takes priority so if the time of work clashes then you call that you have fever in the care home ( don't judge me for lying but the hustle is real)
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Akhat: 8:49pm On May 13, 2023
Thanks boss. I will find an excuse to put the care job on hold. E hard to commot eye for the extra £ though.

Lexusgs430:
Unfortunately, you are going to have to kill a dead relative, again.......

Tell your manager, that person is dead and you need to travel urgently (put care job on hold).....

Communicate with them whilst abroad......🤣

Finish internship, weigh your options ......😂😜

NB : You cannot do both, so comot 👀 for that excess £, wey your throat wan magnet.......😂👀😛😁

Please put the care job on hold and take the engineering internship.

It's a great opportunity that will hopefully ease your way into a permanent job in your field.

Make whatever sacrifices you have to.

I need advice please. I got an internship role in Development Engineering, to assist my employer with research on an ongoing project. My school will be the one paying my salary. The Job is for two and half months(10 weeks). The issue is that, I currently work in a care home(two nights per week). Doing the two jobs will make me exceed the 20hrs work restriction. I don't want to decline the internship role because I believe it will be good on my CV, but it's just for two and half months, neither can I quit the care job just for a short term job. God knows I need both salary. The pay on the internship is 1£ pound higher. And I have also been looking for an opening that will take me out care job.
Please how do I approach this, because I am expected to resume the internship role next week.

My wife is still in Nigeria. She is lawyer, she is in custody of the documents. I have also engaged the services of agent around the area the property is situated.

DoDirtsLikeWorm:
I believe you then.
I once made a suggestion on how best to sell the land. but nevertheless, how do you want the buyer to access the documents? Since you're in English land with your supposed documents and what you're selling is somewhere in Ondo?

My personal conclusion was; he's a land agent.
No, I am not. Selling my own property sef has been stressful, let alone working as land agent from UK.

Me I find the whole schtick suspicious sha.

Sounds like laying the groundwork for a confidence acme where someone gives a loan out of pity or something, or pays money for the property.

Apologies if I’m wrong o but I strongly recommend caution.
I understand if you are suspicious, but they are my personal property.

You can try it with my referral link https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/tEMItOhbvx?XL=MNANS

Ensure that you have at least registered to be on the UK electoral roll which their voter's register because it would be part of the checks they do in the background to identify your location.

I got mine within weeks of my coming to the UK. All the best.

Thank you.

You've almost paid everything. If push comes to shove, just withdraw cash from your credit card then pay the minimum monthly balance till you are buoyant enough to clear the balance.

This advice is based on the assumption that credit card sanctions (interest or missed payments) is better than school sanctions.
I just came into UK this January ending. I don't even know how to apply for credit card. And I am not sure I will meet the requirement for credit card at this time.

Don’t assume everybody knows how much you want or how much your tuition fees are. You need to state it clearly.
At the rate of £300 per month how long is it going to take you to pay up ? Have you worked that out ?
Inbox
I am sorry for not providing the details. The amount left to pay is £3k. I will inbox you. Thanks.
