The Federal Government has approved November 10th, 2020 for the re-opening of all Orientation camps of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) across the country.  The official announcement was broadcasted by the minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare who revealed that in a tweet on his Twitter account on Thursday. He tweeted: The NYSC Orientation camps resume across the country on November 10th, 2020 “The resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corps members has been approved and opens on November 10th, 2020. “Full COVID-19 Protocols will also be enforced,” he said. The identity of one of the beautiful queens that was caught by the Nigerian Police in Lagos peaceful protests has been identified as Chiamaka Treasure Nduka.  She was dragged and arrested alongside with a fellow colleague in the Lagos peaceful protests that turned into a bloody one. Luckily for her, she was released as at yesterday night alongside other peaceful protesters that were arrested wrongfully too. Nine persons have been confirmed dead after a tanker laden with diesel exploded at Igbelajewa village along the Ilesha-Akure Expressway, in Osun state today Monday, October 12.  According to reports, the accident occurred after the tanker driver lost control of the wheel. Several vehicles were destroyed in the inferno. Wife of Ondo Governor, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, has latched out at those behind a viral video stating she was injured at the polling centre after thugs invaded the place. She said the sponsors of the video were insane. Mrs. Akeredolu, who spoke at their Owo residence, said the video was meant to damage the voting exercise, distort information and put it in a bad light. She expressed optimism her husband would emerge victorious. “People are exercising their franchise. The good thing is that people are voting in a peaceful manner. If we continue like that in all other polling unit we don't have anything to fear about violence “We encourage people to vote and not fight. I urged people to vote in a peaceful manner so that our voices will be held.” On viral video that she was injured, she said, “That is insane, that is absurd. That tells you how desperate people can be in politics or our political landscape. “I am here in the ambience of my country home and somebody is there doctoring video that I was injured. “Were you the one that injured me? Port Harcourt Serial killer, Gracious David-West has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Rivers State High Court.  David-West who was sentenced after being found guilty for the multiple murder of several females in hotels in different parts of the state had earlier been charged with ten counts of murder and attempted murder. Justice Enebeli passed the judgment based on the voluntary statement and confession of the David-West as well as the CCTV footage of the convicted which was tendered and displayed during trial. He was found to be guilty of the murder of Maureen Ewuru, Jennifer Nwokocha, Blessing Effiong Linda Warifa Samuel, Dorcas Francis, Kelechi Bridget Onuoha Rose Samuel Anthonia Ibe and the attempted murder of Benita Etim. The court however discharged and acquitted the second defendant, Nimi Thankgod who was accused of dumping the remains of one of the victims of the Port Harcourt Serial killer in a dustbin. Comedian, Mr Macaroni and other #EndSARS activists passed the night at Lagos state government in spite of some challenges they faced during the protest.  The protesters sought for the attention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in addressing the widespread police brutality witnessed in the state, but he was not available. The protesters who persevered in spite of security operatives seizing their chairs and canopies, were later granted an audience by Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa late in the night. Commenting on the protest, Mr Macaroni wrote; We spent the night in front of the Lagos House to pass across a Loud message! We are still here!!! Please join us now!! Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun is under fire for giving the winner of the 2020 Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba (Better known as Laycon) a sum of N5million and a 3-bedroom bungalow.  Yesterday, Laycon was welcomed by the good people of Ogun state where he also met with the Governor, Abiodun and other Ogun State government agencies. According to the post shared by via the official social media handles of the Governor: “We have appointed the winner of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown, @itslaycon Youth Ambassador of Ogun State in addition to house and cash gifts. “I relayed this development today when I played host to Olamilekan Moshood Agbelesebioba, AKA Laycon in my Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta. “The appointment and gifts are a celebration of Laycon’s good character, intellect and virtues which were proven to the whole world on live TV as better choices than vices. “A proud son of Ogun State, Laycon displayed the essence of focus in the face of temptations and provocations. The founder of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), Davido has just terminated Contract with the recently signed artiste, Lil Frosh after brutalizing his girlfriend.  In a statement posted on Davido's Instagram and twitter page on Tuesday, October 6, he said, “In light of the recent allegations made against Mr Sanni Goriola Wasiu aka Lil Frosh, we would like to state that as a record label, domestic violence is not a trivial matter and we will never support or condone such behaviour,” it read in part. The Fem crooner also stated in the press statement that his record label, DMW does not encourage domestic violence and the contract termination takes effect immediately. In early hours of today, A Man was trapped in sealed Manhole in Bode Thomas, Surulere Lagos. Nobody knows how the unknown man got there or where he was going to. A Twitter user who posted the video said they have called the Police and from what we gathered, they are still trying to investigate him inorder to know his real identity and how he got there. In the viral video, Some people could be seen capturing the man in the manhole. However, Some Twitter users said maybe SARS operatives were responsible for this since they are the one making headline in the country at the moment. Controversial Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley has said his own mind about the call to end SARS by stating that he doesn’t think “end SARS is the problem” because he knows many SARS officers who still do good jobs. According to the singer, he said the outcry amongst Nigerians on social media to end SARS due to the cruelty they subject Nigerian youths to. Reacting, Naira Marley said: “I’m just gonna talk my own opinion. “Deep down with me personally, I don’t think end SARS is the problem. It’s not about end SARS. There was heavy shooting Sunday morning along Oba Adesida road in Akure, Ondo State capital as clash between supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and the All Progressives Congress(APC) escalated.  The Sunday morning clash was said to have been a reprisal attack over the killing of an APC member in Oba Nla area of Akure on Saturday night. Several persons were said to have been injured while many vehicles were vandalised in the clash. The fight has spread to Arakale area.
