The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned drivers in Nigeria who like to receive or make phone calls while driving, regardless of any wireless gadget (Airpods or Earpiece), used for such communication stand a risk of getting a six-month jail term.  FRSC Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, disclosed this in an interview with Punch. Kazeem said driving requires total concentration and road users should not take any risk on their lives. He said it is illegal to make calls or receive the same while driving, according to the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2012. “It is illegal. Driving entails 100 percent concentration so you cannot be distracted. It is there in the regulation. It is clear from the provisions of Reg 166 (1) that it is illegal to make phone calls using EarPods earphones or whatever means. It is also clear that a phone call is not restricted to a telephone conversation between two or more people. Anything that will distract you while driving must be avoided. When we do public enlightenment, we even discourage drivers from talking to passengers which could cause distraction. Candido Da Rocha was born in 1860 in Brazil and was the son of Joan Esan Da Rocha. On Thursday, 26 2021, the Nollywood industry was put into mourning after the veteran actor, Victor Olaotan died due to an undisclosed illness.  Although, the report says the deceased had battled a traumatic brain injury after a fatal auto accident in October 2016. Olaotan became a famous actor for his role as Fred Ade-Williams in MNet's popular series, Tinsel. Here are some things to know about the late veteran actor: 1. Victor Olaotan was born on February 17, 1952, in Lagos State. 2. Olaotan studied drama at the University of Ibadan, at the Obafemi Awolowo University, and at Rockets University, United States 3. He became an actor at the age of 15 years through a teacher who was a member of the Ori Olokun Theatre group in the early 70s, prior to the death of his father. 3. He played football while in school and got his first job after his graduation as a football player for Water Corporation, Ibadan 1st Division. The Burial service for the late Nollywood veteran actress, Rachel Oniga was held on Friday, 27th August 2021 in Lagos State.  The late Nollywood actress who was born on 23 May 1957 in Ebutte Metta, Lagos State died on Friday 30th July 2021 after suffering from complications having to do with heart disease. After her demise, the family of the Veteran actress disclosed her burial plans. One of her children, Tunji Oniga who spoke on behalf of the family of the late actress, arranged her burial for August 26 and 27 2021.
