Nothing Uhuru yet. As long as I prefer someone from Yewa to emerge as the governor, this Akinlade will still have to compete with Senator Kaka in the primaries. The Ijebus do not believe in Yewa Lokan slogan. |

I have done it already this morning. I will be monitoring it to see what happens with it. Thanks though. |
[quote author=ceecia post=45882843]Trust me,you don't want to do that Mtn 1.5GB data. I'll advice to just continue buying from share and sell. It will pay you at the long run cause MTN won't give you complete 15GB. I have done it already this morning. I will be monitoring it to see what happens with it. Thanks though. |
Perhaps I will have to hold on a bit to make some clarification before I do my own Mtn Sub of N1,000 for 1.5gb. I don't want to waste my money o. I was buying from those share and sell before and the one I bought last is about to finish. I have just less than 40mb left. What do I do now because I can only use Mtn? |

You can’t say you don’t know that the last four games have been huge in the title race in Spain for the top big three because unless you’re shying away from it – Atletico Madrid have become a team that contend for title every season under Diego Simeone just like the other big two we already know. Barcelona have won it today but not without some pressure coming from their rivals especially Real Madrid thanks to Luis Suarez hat-trick in a comfortable 3-0 win at Granada. Today’s victory makes it 24th league titles, the 6th in the last eight and second in a row for the Catalans. Congratulations to them. But it’s very necessary that we have to recollect where the race for the victory of today was coming from. What am I saying? Barcelona woke up on the morning of El-clasico, that was 2 April this year with confidence at an all time high. They were unbeaten in 39 games, nine points clear at the top of La liga and bidding to become the first team to successfully defend the Champions League title. But a 2-1 defeat by Real Madrid sparked 15 days of hell for the Catalan club, by the end of which they were out of Europe and only top of La liga by virtue of head-to-head difference. Since then, they have found their heads again – winning four in a row with 21 goals scored and none conceded. Credits to all the players especially the MSN, we all know the importance of each player in that team but this season has been a huge one for Luis Suarez in terms of goals and assists. He’s the only player other than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Pichichi [Golden Boot] since 2008-09 season with 40 goals. Speaks a lot about him, and with this, he’s a contender for world best player of the year. Real Madrid came very late to the La liga title party race, all thanks to their new manager [former reserve coach] who woke them up from their slumber. If someone had told me on 1 April 2016 that the title race would come to the final day, it would have seemed like a weird and fairly boring April Fool’s Day joke because at that stage of the season, Barcelona were nine points clear at the top and 10 points above Real Madrid. Funny enough, their manager Zinedine Zidane had conceded the league was over for them a month before that. Since Real Madrid axed Rafa Benitez and replaced him with Zizou in early January of this year, the club has soared. Some 20 wins and three draws from 25 games have seen them climb up to second place in their domestic league and the Champions League final where they will play Atletico Madrid. Today’s win against Deportivo Lacorona made it 12-game winning run in La liga for the Los Blancos. It was clear that at half time, they had conceded the title to Barcelona, the only thing I can believe is the rationale behind the non-appearance of Cristiano Ronaldo in the second half after scoring 2 first half goals. Perhaps, the manager is trying to keep him fresh for the Champions League final show down against their City rival Atletico Madrid. A wise decision? Yes. Because Luis Suarez didn’t show he was tired of scoring goals today. Something tells me something big will happen to Real Madrid next season with the guidance of Zinedine Zidane who admitted he’s still learning on the job but has outperformed Rafa Benitez who didn’t last a season after much expectation when he was appointed as Real Madrid’s manager. With Zizou in charge next season, the Los Blancos can only get better and better for more titles and we shouldn’t forget that they are still in the final of the biggest club competition in the world. So a chance to get something bigger than Catalan’s La liga title? Barcelona are the Champions for 2015-16 season in Spain but they just have to watch out for Real Madrid come next season. |

I don’t need anyone to tell me after watching last night match with much endure disappointment that tonight’s tie will be quite opposite. Oh! What a goal! I’m being forced to describe it as Lionel Messi like finish. When did Atletico Madrid sign a new Messi? I’m quite sure if anyone before the game had probably told Saul Niguez that he would breeze past what I can call a poor challenge from three Bayern midfielders before slotting in a cool finish, he would have smiled and take it less serious. That’s on a lighter mood though. Everyone knows how Diego Simeone sets up his team, they don’t usually allow their opponent to play, imposing much threat with long direct football while defending their heart out. They are very strong defensively when playing at home, now 14 clean sheets in 16 champions league home matches. Once you allow them to score you first, that’s the end. What did they do right? They played to strength. What’s the strength? Get the first goal, then turn defensive and wait for the moment of brilliance to capitalise on the opponent’s mistake and then punish. This is exactly what they have done tonight. They were so close to nick the second goal but Fernando Torres was very unlucky with the crossbar. What Diego Simeone has done and continue to do at Atletico Madrid is incredible, the determination is second to none, it’s unfair to single out a particular player from this Atletico side, they show team spirit, great work ethic and togetherness all the time. They know in their camp that this tie is far from over, but they also know that taking 1-0 lead to Allianz Arena has put them in a great position to probably fight for away goal. Bayern Munich are going home with one goal deficit but write them off in your own peril. You don’t bet against a team that has scored 28 champions league goals this season, the most of all teams in the competition not to score in front of their own fans. If only they had started and shown more intent for goal as they later appeared in the second half, they wouldn’t have struggled like sort. They didn’t learn anything from Atletico game against Barcelona and that’s where I question the line up and the choice of players in the defense and midfield for Bayern Munich by Pep Guardiola. He can justify others but that of Thomas Muller I can’t just understand. He has to start the second leg in Germany because he’s a big man for big occasion. There were poor defensive show in the first half and I wonder what the Spanish trio of Alcantara, Alonso, Bernat, before Alaba were doing, allowing Saul Niguez to pick up the ball about 35 yards out. I can’t fault the reaction after conceding the goal especially the character and domination they showed in the second half but Atletico Madrid are the hardest team to beat in the whole of Europe at the moment. What do they need to do in the second leg? Simple. Use the right type of players, utilise your own strength at home too – to overpower them, not going to be easy but is very possible. Bayern Munich have to be very strong in all position and should be ready to match Atletico Madrid. It sets things up for a fascinating encounter at Allianz Arena next week Tuesday. Bayern like Atletico have been strong defensively at home. They haven’t conceded in any of their previous four games, scoring seven goals along the way. |
It was a tactical match at Etihad stadium between Manchester City and Real Madrid. Not a game of numerous chances, not even much qualities but at the end of the 90 minutes – both teams would still fancy their chances of qualifying for the final of this year champions league. Joe Hart is the hero. He again proved tonight that he’s the right man for big occasion. He made two crucial saves, I want to believe that not many will disagree with me if I say he’s the reason why his team is still very much in this tie. Manchester City played a Madrid side without Cristiano Ronaldo but still couldn’t perform above average. Any different opinion? What if he was part of the show? We shall see how it will go in the second leg, it’ll be really difficult to predict what will happen in Spain next week. I just feel the Sky Blues should have done more playing at home, taking like a 1-0 lead to Bernabeu would have given them an extra edge and believe that they can eliminate Madrid but as it’s now, still not that bad, they just need to match their opponent for quality and threat when they play the second leg away from home. Getting to the final with an away goal should be on the card for Manchester City but one thing that is certain, they are going to find it difficult beating Real Madrid at home. David Silva going out was a blow because his connection with Kevin de bruyne was massive for City. It was all ball to Sergio Aguero but the Argentine has not just impressed me with his performance yet again. He’s huge for City, he should know that whenever he’s not turning up for his team, is like part of them is missing. I just have to mention Vincent Kompany, he was key in the defense, his combination with Otamendi was perfect, it was like the idea was not to concede at home. If I was Manuel Pellegrini, I would just tell the players that they have created a platform to build on, though Madrid have players who can hurt any team but so do City. The Sky Blues just need one goal in the Spanish capital and they are in a very good position. I know that Real Madrid are happy with their performance but there will be a question mark on – if they are really happy with the result. They have won just 43% of their champions league games without Cristiano Ronaldo since 2009-10 and 71% with him on the pitch. Missed him tonight? Probably yes. If he was there, Madrid would have attacked in a different dimension. Will he be back for the second leg next week? I trust the club doctors will do all it can to make him available, even if it means he won’t be playing for them in the league. I heard someone saying Luka Modric had no influence on the game and I shake my head, for a midfielder who attempted 90 passes, more than he has done in any other champions league match this very season. Madrid in the game had more attacking talent even without their talisman and they will be expecting a complete opposite game in the second leg. In the last Laliga match without Ronaldo, he [Gareth Bale] was there for the team, with Karim Benzema not fully fit, the onion was on him to push the team forward. He did that tonight and was even closer to scoring a goal. Jese hit the crossbar later on and that’s where I question the decision to play Vazque ahead of Jese. He should have started the match and play on the role of Ronaldo, he often times play like him, just may be he would have made the difference. Wolfsburg took a two goal lead to Spain but got slated at the Bernabeu. Manchester City shouldn’t think this is a good result either? To top it all, Madrid haven’t conceded any goal at home in the champions league this season. City will fancy nicking a goal? Madrid pedigree tells that 9 times out of 10, they have beaten all at home in a second leg. Until next week Wednesday, keep the date in your diary. Follow me on Twitter @iam_akorebami |

Let them report to CAF, it has to be official before actions can be taken. |
The challenge now is to qualify from the group stage. They almost blew it. |

By Akorede Kameel The excitement and jubilation after the match for Atletico Madrid shows how much the victory means to them. Have we watched the final already? Many Barcelona fans across the globe are still in disbelieve. They have found it very difficult to accept that the team which they have defeated twice in the league already this season can now come back to knock them out of the Champions League 3-2 on agreggrate. It’s no more a dream Catalans! Somebody should wake somebody up before something else happens. I know Enrique would have learnt after this painful exit that there are opponents you play that you wouldn’t even think of your present form or their own form when planning for the game. Over the last few years, Atletico Madrid have proved to be a huge and keenly contested match for Barcelona. What they have just done this season is like saying – look here Barca, you can have your way in the domestic league but not in the Champions League which matters most. Fernando Torres should be singing a new song by now or perhaps rush to have a dig at their opponent on twitter. Any time Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are playing, you should always expect a tedious game, full of energy and physical battle. Tonight game wasn’t an exception. Looking at it from the tactical points of view, the game plan for Atletico Madrid was to go out within the first minutes to secure the first goal that would put Barcelona into trouble, and come back to defend but attack again when you have the chance, perhaps, this may force Barcelona to play the way they don’t want to. But I saw a very battle-ready Barca players including Lionel Messi who were ready to track back when they lost the ball. It was so obvious to see that Atletico Madrid were not interested in the ball possession rather were ready to press, press, press and counter with purpose when they have the chance. Barcelona needed just one away goal to send the tie to extra time but couldn’t get it. Why? Well, it may interest you to know that in the last 14 champions league home games, Atletico Madrid have kept 12 clean sheets, it simply shows the sort of defence the catalans have come to face. Atletico Madrid were determined to go through at the expense of Barcelona and were equally ready to do anything they could to make this happen. Tonight will be the second time in nine seasons Barcelona have failed to reach the Champions League semi-finals. They have both been quarter-final exits to Atletico Madrid. Now you can say it’s hard to find words for just how good a job Diego Simeone has done at Atletico. Genius? Just help me out. You can’t in anyway fault the work rate of Barcelona players, even after going behind. Whatever Enrique told them after the first half showed a bit of character in them, they looked dangerous early on in the second half and almost got the equaliser. The brain box in the middle for the catalans who is no one other than Iniesta himself had a good game, he was there doing what he knows best but all still amounted to nothing. When you are a goal down, searching for the equaliser and then your opposing team is playing deep, you should know that any mistake from you will initiate a counter attacking threat and can wreck you from creating further chances. The game finished when Atletico scored the second goal from the spot-kick. There were talking points, the Iniesta hand ball, was it a red card offence? I really think so. And also, the Gabi handball? There, I want to believe Atletico Madrid were very lucky not to have conceded a penalty, but with a second look at it from the side view, showed like it was handled on the line. Nevertheless, Atletico Madrid deserve to go through over the two legs, many people are of the opinion that it was Fernando Torres that gave Barca the advantage in the first leg, if not, would have been as tight as it was tonight. As some will say, the spirit in Diego Simeone is a replica of what he has embedded in his team. Enrique didn’t have any idea of how to break the stubborn Atletico defence, everyone was there in the box to either block or intercept any through ball that could lead to goal. The talk of Mess-Suarez-Neymar partnership have been on for quite a while, the unbelievable goals the trio have got within but when Messi himself isn’t having a good day on the field of play, others tend to struggle a bit to make things happen, though you can say not as always but it has to be a day like this night or else nothing really good to show for it.

By Akorede Kameel Tonight is a brilliant night for English football. Manchester City has just made sure England will keep those four champions league spots for a few more years. Aside of the Zlatan Ibrahimovic free-kick early on – in the first half, there has not been much attacking threat from the visitors at the Etihad Stadium. That said, thank God I’m not a City fan, just can’t imagine the sort of shock in the heart of the fans after that penalty miss from Sergio Aguero. Pundits will tell you as good as any penalty is, if it doesn’t enter the net, then is no where near the good stuff. He puts it just too wide, I wonder what he would be thinking if his team hadn’t won the game, that he has missed the most important penalty of his career? Or sort of feeling that he has let his team mates down. In the course of the first half play, it’s important to note that David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne are the only two players that can provide and create the much awaited goals for City but credit to Paris Saint-Germain who played three defenders at the back with two wing backs for containing their movement and limiting the so called attacking width. As a team who must score to progress to the next stage of the competition, you expected that the bite that the Paris St Germain attack was short of would return but somehow for them, it still looked like they were only using the advantage of the extra man only in the midfield but had no idea how they would put the ball in the net. It must be said that there were two disallowed goals but they were rightly called of for offsides. The only player that came close to scoring was Edinson Cavani who couldn’t beat Joe Hart on a one on one scoring situation. Whatever his game plan was for the game, I think not many people will argue with me that Laurent Blanc’s team didn’t produce anything, they were too reliant on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani but both were just getting deep with the ball. Manchester City are now into semi-finals for the first time in their history. Great! This achievement has been made possible tonight by Kevin de Bruyne. Isn’t a sweet saying, Aguero suffered a bit of confidence after his penalty miss but you would still fancy Manchester City going through because of the two away goals they got in France. The type of composure shown by Kevin de Bruyne before wrapping his right foot to scoring the important goal was what was missing in Silva and Aguero. It was fantastic, he never panicked and made the most of it. Not only that, Joe Hart was huge and key to this success. It must be said that Paris St-Germain didn’t get to trouble City’s defence line but few times they have got through, Hart was very much there. What a presence he had been for Manchester City tonight. And again, coming into this game, many people thought the two City’s centre-halves would struggle but they were just able to hold their own and managed to be solid somehow. Kompany should be happy that for the second time in nine home champions league games, Manchester City are able to keep a clean sheet without his contribution. At this stage of the champions league, you don’t get to meet an easy opponent, we already know Real Madrid are joining City in the last four but who else? All that will be decided by tomorrow when the other games are played but it’s possible Manuel Pellegrini face his replacement Pep Guardiola in the next round if Bayern Munich make the last four.
