no, but he doesn't need to win Benin to become the governor. All he needs is to get at least 30 to 35% votes from Edo south, share Edo central with Asue and get a landslide victory from Edo north. As long as Adams Oshiomhole is still alive, APC will still be dominating Edo north with the exception of owan West where the speaker hails from. Ovia axis is already locked down for APC because of the influence of Charles and the igbinedions who have re aligned with APC in that zone. A little effort in Edo south will see Okpebholo through because Edo south will be the battle ground for the two contenders and the other pretender, LP candidate.

But why is APC so weak in Benin? If okpebholo gets 35% and pdp gets like 60% in Edo south,that's a disaster. Ovia is not locked down because Denco usually struggles to win there and Akpata is from there.senator Uzamere is also from there. Uhumnwonde is a difficult place but now that Charles has defected,APC is in a better place plus Prof David osifoh is really campaigning hard along with hon Osaze Imasogie.
