Nwaikpe: No other political advantage than money. None at all! He has diehard loyallists,he's a world class politician, has allies everywhere, is very diplomatic, has structure, can negotiate and bargain. Having money is one thing, knowing how to deploy it is another. So many politicians have money yet they are failures. Apart from the obidient movement, obi is a political failure |

Politics › Isa Ashiru Wins ADC Governorship Ticket For Kaduna State by Akpakomiza2(op): 1:23pm On Jun 08 |
A two-time former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Isa Ashiru, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state ahead of the 2027 general election.
The former lawmaker, who represented Makarfi/Kudan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, scored 86,113 votes to clinch the party’s ticket.
A former Commissioner of Education under the administration of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Jafaru Sani, came second with 29,580 votes.
Other aspirants included the immediate past Commissioner for Education under the administration of Governor Uba Sani, Professor Muhammad San-Bello, who polled 13,559 votes; Ahmed Tijjani, who secured 13,550 votes; and Shuaibu Mikati, who got 10,819 votes.
Ashiru was the PDP governorship candidate in both the 2019 and 2023 governorship elections in Kaduna State.
He lost to former Governor Nasir El-Rufai in 2019 and also finished second behind incumbent Governor Uba Sani in 2023 after polling 719,000 votes.
Meanwhile, some House of Representatives aspirants in Kaduna State under the platform of the African Democratic Congress have rejected the outcome of the party’s primaries, alleging irregularities in the process.
Addressing a news conference, the leader of the aggrieved aspirants, Samaila Makarfi, described the exercise as a sham and “totally unacceptable,” calling for a review of the entire process. https://www.channelstv.com/2026/05/27/isah-ashiru-wins-adc-governorship-ticket-in-kaduna/

Once it is time for election again, he goes back to supporting the party and repeat the same thing after the election. He is one heck of a guy. I would have said so about Tinubu, but he has no natural political clout.
But yes, on the wings of Buhari and Obi, even a cat will win in some areas. Tinubu compensates that with so many other political advantages others can't boast of |

Better than NDC I will say.
But if you are in Abuja, or anywhere in the South, don't waste your money on this party. Go for NDC. Even if you don't know how to spell Nigeria, on the wings of Peter Obi, you will win. The same way it happened in the North with Buhari. Obi will only fly in the SE |

The news is fake from the apc camp. If you like, you can pin my comment ok? Kwakwanso will win Kano, even if he defects to a party registered today. His candidate had already defeated ganduje in the latter's 2nd term, before they dubiously declared the remaining marginal areas inconclusive. You and I saw what happened next to voters and tge 1qth hour projectscarriedout there by the apc. Peopleare wiser now.
His candidate had easy win in 2023, despite contesting with a ruling party both at state and federal. That's a clear message to all of you If Gawuna joins ADC, kwankwaso candidate can't win |

Former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Mannir Dan Iya, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections in Sokoto State.
Dan-Iya emerged after the party conducted its governorship primary election involving delegates from the 244 wards across the 23 local government areas of the state.
The Chief Returning Officer of the exercise, Prof. Aminu Abubakar Illela, said Dan-Iya polled 52,831 votes across the state.
“Consequently, I hereby declare you as the ADC candidate for the 2027 general elections,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Dan-Iya thanked party members for the confidence reposed in him and accepted the mandate given to him.
He pledged to work hard and expressed optimism that the ADC would defeat the ruling party in the forthcoming elections.
Dan-Iya also appreciated the support of party leaders in the state, especially former governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and called for unity among party members.
Speaking at the event, the party leader in the state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal said the ADC was optimistic of victory, noting that ADC had given many youths opportunities to contest in the coming elections.
He urged members to remain patient and resilient, while stressing the need for free and fair elections across the country.
Dan-Iya served as deputy governor under Tambuwal’s administration between 2018 and 2023 and was recently chosen as the party’s consensus candidate among 10 aspirants who had earlier shown interest in the governorship race, including Senator representing Sokoto East, Ibrahim Lamido; former ambassador to Jordan, Faruk Malami Yabo; former Minister of Transportation, Yusuf Suleiman; and former PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 general election, Saidu Umar. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://dailytrust.com/dan-iya-clinches-adc-governorship-ticket-in-sokoto/&ved=2ahUKEwiWldePzfWUAxXnQUEAHZ1_GYAQFnoECBwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1bo9UgUUiY_bbSLX7q614vd
