lokoloko84: Prophecy of doom!Don't deceive yourself mister, you are the unreasonable here because you don't have a clue about what a typical Nigerian can see as an effective housing policy. This government has no clue about that and will score a E,not with the credibility of the personalities involved. If it were to be someone like Jakande, then I will give him a chance based on his history. Sorry, the current politicians on show have nothing to offer this country. They are selfish and greedy because if not, then why should a government build a shabby housing estate with a rental cost of more than 10 million naira every. How many Nigerians can afford that? Sorry, those who will lead this country to the path of prosperity are on the way.And when that time come,we can decide our future as a country. tooo early to read ur gibberish long tale. |
Politics › Re: FG To Unveil Plan For Affordable Housing Monday by Akshow: 6:22am On Jun 25, 2016 |
lokoloko84: Yes I will take several steps back because I am not a blind supporter of any government particularly when key officals of such a government are not unknown to reasonable folks like us. We are talking about credibility issue here. The same minister talking about housing, claimed that rental cost cannot be affordable since the cost of building materials are not cheap and you expect me to believe such a person. This is difference between developed climes and a poorly developed climes like ours. If this official was to be a new person in entirely, then I will give him or her a benefit of the doubt but not with this government, anyways. Nigerians should look further for their Messiah, who will arrive very soon not these fake and empty suit politians who are devoid of decency and common sense but use smooth talking and big jargons to deceive the populace. But some of us cannot fooled. still not making any sense with your prophecy of doom. |

lokoloko84: That is the problem with most Nigerians. Politics have infected the brain of most you that most of you cannot think straight anymore. I am not interested in the nonsensical politicking going on here and you are ignorant.we have housing estates built by various administrations in the past both at the state and federal level. Do you need any technicalites with foreign partners to provide cheap housing for the populace? At end of the day, this government will come with crap houses which will be sold to corrupt civil servants and other genuine civil servants at an expensive rate. What about those artisans and low income earners who are in the majority? that's the problem I have with Nigerians who have decided to use their brains only to see doom and be pessimistic. has it occurred to you that this govt might just be different? What's ur reason for casually dismissing something you are not sure about if not politicking? Take several steps behind Mr n shove ur despondent thought where it belongs. |

And as predictable as ipods are, they don't wanna hear anything good about this govt, be it planned or finished. So this gonna give them sleepless nights. |

lokoloko84: Rubbish!Sometimes when you look at the way Nigerians think, then you will realise why this country is in this present state. Coming up with jargons and making governance look like an industrial complex. The first step is to make sure that the key materials used in building houses such as cement and roofing sheets are cheap for a start.Nigerians pay the highest amount for a bag of cement in the world and you wonder, why People live in slums and uncompleted houses. An average Nigerian will prefer to live in his own house whether completed or not and built with his own money. The next step is reduce tarrif on other materials used in construction and as we do this, then we give incentives to manufactures for local manufacturing of building materials for affordability, employment generation and a source of revenue for the government. Various government should stop building useless bungalows but high rising buildings with block of flats to accommodate the poor and those who are low income earners at a cheap rentage price which will accommodate more persons per one hectare of land. Housing should be seen as an industry on its own and must contribute a chunk to the GDP of a country together with making our environment looking more beautiful and the citizens living decent lives. What about the use of clay which is abound in making bricks instead of the current block making? All these will bring down the cost of construction and it will be better for everyone. leave this long tale Mr man. you think the govt hasn't put all this in consideration? Would it kill you if for once u laud the govts effort? Which administration in the past decades even remembered a federal housing scheme? |

Acidosis: They should not forget to go after all the Yoruba and Arewa bloggers as well. I can name 20 popular ones for proper references.
They shouldn't forget to go after all the Lagos based celebrities including Wizkid, P-Square, etc.
Failure to do that would make FIRS look stup!d.
I'm not Igbo by the way, but I'm not f00lish. Until we learn to do things fairly and rightly in this part of the world, we'd always be the animals that we are.
Just recently in the US, fire fighters traced a Nigerian Oba. That's how credible agencies work, they don't work like animals and visionless remotely controlled wanderers.
The sensible ones should know the reason for these troubles. Just because Linda accepted PDP sponsored ads doesn't make her a criminal. She has done nothing differently from Olamide, Ice Prince and other celebrities who featured in the Ambode campaign songs. But HELL NO; Foolishness won't make us think. u are paranoia and almost foaming in ur mouth over this. She goes about flaunting and showing her wealth, it's only natural she pays the tax on her income. |
