invisible!:
For all these bible wey Loma dey quote so? Abi the guy na pastor?

@aktopgun, pumice, shine the candle for Transcorp, abeg.
@NBA, Naijadr, what of the bid positions?
invisible man, u no need candles for that one na.  grin grin. na Ndidi dey control am!! it doesn't obey any technicals jare.

but sha, looking at the chart it has now risen above the price it was at pre TS and it has been doing 4-price doji for the last few days meaning the open, close,high and low prices are the same or virtually the same. normally, and i say normally because transcorp isnt normal, doji imply indecisiveness in the market and usually signify a change in trend from the trend occuring before the doji happened. however in transcorps case, only God knows cuz for all u know, it cold do doji for the next 2 weeks!!!

i am a bit skeptical about it as i am sure u can tell in my tone.

i will hand u over to the chairman of transcorp, Samstone  cool cool cool cool

I don't talk much on this forum so i wont expose my ignorance sad sad sad wink, but of late i have been seeing some ads in the newspapers(hard copies,not e-versions o,so the NID's might not know about it.)Its an E shape and it keeps talking about coporate governance and the banking system. After i saw the ad,the fonts and style looked like the ones we used to use when i was working with ETB. After asking someone, the person confirmed it must be from ETB but doesnt know whats cropping.

I am saying this to ask if anybody knows whats going to happen,because i learnt Adenuga employed KPMG to purge the 'Civil service mentality' out of the bank and ensure a proper governance structure.The koko of the long story is this.

Is ETB coming out with an IPO? If so,how soon will that be.

Sorry about my absence aktopgun. I had a lot on my plate but I have some free time now so I intend to contribute more.

But you guys are doing a good (very good) job so far.  And since my investments are more of a longer term/ larger targets I like to sit on the sidelines sometimes to learn. I pay so much more attention to candlesticks now and I have you to thank for that.

Anyway I promise to be more active.

@ aktopgun & all.

I was just looking at the CCNN graph and I just wanted to add anyone entering now should be aware of the resistance at about 25. I agree with aktopgun that this would be a good time to enter but I'm not certain that the sideways trend is over.  I believe it will break the resistance some time in the future but don't panic if the price bounces back down. Unless you're in for a quick CICO.

PS. I don't have any.

Thanks for all the info and peace.

@RoughCut

Thank you mate for your help, much appreciate. I got 3 emails already. So I guess it's a good start.

@Texas

I don't need to convince you of my legitimacy or of my company for that matter, the guys that have contacted me will give you the gist in Summer after the Seminars, and between it doesnt stop there, you might meet us on a roadshow soon and we would collect your registration fee and educate you smiley. You sit there and keep bad-mouthing while others are making their moves. Same way you watch stocks and keep watching them, begging for AkTopGun to shine his candle for you to make a move - typical Thomas behavour, they don't believe unless they see, and they've forgotten that the things you don't see control the things that you see. So if you want leverage, you have to start believing before you see mate. Contrary to your claim, that's not why you're a Nigerian. It's just why you're still one of those very few ones who think every other person except themsleves is a scammer. Relax dude, I make enough money doing what I do, so I don't need your few Naira at all.

@all,
Quite inpressed that Dangote became the richest black person in the world overtaking the big O (Oprah). Keep believing!
chimo!! Bia Mr President, which one be this na. i no see this one before i reply u ke. no be so sir. not cool

Texas is a well respected member of this forum and our watchword here is mutual respect. I am sure he only asked for ur details to try to contact u and not for anything else. one can never be too careful these days. no need to go this far. pls let it end there.

to both parties, pls CHILL!

Does not mean to discredit the candle AKTOPGUN. Just that am from a different background. i like what you are doing with those candles.

But i have too much on those stocks mentioned.(maybe because of NSE background)
discredit me ke. haba. i am not that touchy trust me.  cheesy cheesy

having too much of the stocks mentioned can be good or bad depending on which ones u have. eg CCNN is on the list cuz its on a rise as expected after bouncing off its support, CILeasing as well is rising while ABC and DSR are falling as expected and hence made the list.

what background are u referring to sir?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by aktopgun(m): 2:50pm On Mar 18, 2008
Mr. Risky:
I can see DISAPPOINTMENT on the faces of those on the Unilever Train.  Who wants to receive dividend in coins for a N28 stock? undecided  Why can't they pay "Extra Dividend", they always have "extra ordinary item".  I am available when they are ready, but not now.

I can see Dangote Sugar shooting after closure of register.  The happening year is knocking. The guy's strategy would be to release a fantastic 1st qtr result some time in April, and guys will go for more UBA pluses grin grin grin

But when will NASCON tell us what they have for those of us waiting on the queue?   Diamond Bank N19 plus in Marchhuh? and FCMB N18 plushuh  This BEAR dey drink plenty BEER oooooo.  Hoping to tidy up a loan and shoot without missing, great BUY opportunities to average out are open, and yawning for recognition.

WHO CAN PREDICT NSEhuhhuh  Maybe in the 2nd Quarter, Motherof3 or Uncleof666 will do that tongue  And who takes those titleshuhhuh   Don't be surprise might be a neophyte in the game.  People who don't analyse but rely on instincts have made their millions in this 1st quarter.

This is about the unique NSE 1st quarter that analysis paralysed a lot of guys who could not but stand still helplessly watching FUNDAMENTALLESS stocks taking their giant strides up north.  I once asked about Ikeja Hotels, a guru here has said that the growth potentials is what is hampering the stock.  But today, from N6.70 to N10+, and yet DIAMOND along with other fundamentally sound stocks have painted my portfolio so red I cannot recognize the figures any more,why Afroil and Capital Oil guys are smiling to their pastors cheesy cheesy

I rest my case, anyway its a matter of time and season.  When I will begin to explode in these bank stocks, no one should write me any LOVE letterooooo or ask for my private email addresscheesy  I go just bone cool
i expect a correction in the price very very soon. maybe even as early as the next market day. nasty candle today, very nasty. sellers pushed it down all the way. it will drop hopefully to the range u want soon.

Not sure why people are jittery about DSR. Those selling are the speculators who got what they did not expect. The closure date is damn to close for them to do anything. So they know that they ccannot jerk the price up hence the need to sell.

DSR to me is still a GOOD BUY.
don't mind them jare. its the speculators that are jittery. we all know its still a fundamentally sound company any day. it continues to grow both actual profits and profit margins yr on yr.  it might be a good time to get in on it once the haemorrhage has stopped.
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by aktopgun(m): 10:24am On Mar 18, 2008
@wanajo

i see ur point. however the very fact that the IPO was unsuccessful says a lot to me. the mngt took the path of least resistance in going for a loan then, if indeed they did and are now paying for it. the interest has obviously eroded whatever profit they would have made.

Also even if their IPO/PO was unsuccessful, surely some people must have bought into it and i am assuming by unsuccessful u mean it didnt experience the level of oversubscription we are seeing in recent PO/IPO offers of recent memory. Even if it was 25% subscribed, the mngt have yet to show they have effectively put the money to good enough use going by their results.

th ejury is still out for me on polyproducts sha and i hope they do improve their margins.

OMG i just wake up see say e be like say my guy dey vex for me. no be so ooo Krush. i was just engaging in small banter with u last night on poly products. i apologise if u thought i was having a go at u man, far from it.

@ wanajo

on poly products, as i said in a post yesterday, i am sketical of any management with such a large turnover and small results to show for it, makes me think they are not thinking things thru especially their business plans. why go for a loan (if thats what they did) to run a business but shot urself in the foot with the interest rate? not cool. i am assuming they do have a viable business product but their plans arent being produced by effective enough management, but befroe i write them off let me give them a little mor time, like another quarter or two before concluding. ther's no sense in rushing
