Health / Natural Skin Exfoliating And Brightening by akuji: 3:16pm On Dec 11, 2013
Take a lemon, cut it in half. Dip one half in sugar, then scrub your face and lips. Lemon – A natural source of Vitamin C; an ingredient commonly used to lighten sun and age spots and even out skin tone. Sugar – A natural exfoliator; a natural source of glycolic acid which evens out skin tone, cleans pores, and improves overall skin texture by removing dead, dull skin cells. Exfoliating your skin not only gets rid of dead cells that limit moisturizer penetrating your skin, but it also leaves the skin feeling smooth and silky.

mojisolani: Thank you so much for your advice, you are indeed God send. Pls let me ask you this qestions again.
Can I wait till ending when my salary will be paid?to make it 300k and aside the salary I also receive money from other member with another account basically 15-18k per month with total of 50k and aside the salary money comes in and go out. Pls advice me

My dear, Lexus is right. No point in lodging various pays into ur account. Whatever savings or payments u have received, you have to show consistency that s why they ask for 6 months wage slips and transaction details for any savings acc. If they see large amounts of money suddenly within a short space of time, it may count against you. Do you have a wife and/or kid or a relative who is dependent solely on your presence. What ties do you have in nigeria? Do you have any businesses... These are the questions you need to ask yourself
Travel / Re: Family Visit To Uk by akuji: 4:09pm On Nov 07, 2013
Your brother has done his part ...but to get a family visit visa is not a piece of cake. It is now left to you to show that you have substantial assets and ties (your own family, dependents, etc) in Nigeria and a good job to return to once your holiday is over. Unfortunately having a letter from your employer and 200k in the bank may not cut it as you can easily quit that job once you touch down (uk mentality). You are welcome to try sha but you have to show how your family life will be greatly affected if you are not given the visa. You have to show proofs that you are indeed visiting your brother and maybe you two have very close relationship. (Unfortunately you have to show the close ties when going under a family visitor). Also another advantage is that the immigration officer cannot just reject your application under this category, they will have to refer it to their decision maker whereas if you apply under the ordinary visitor visa, the decision can be made by the immigration officer...

Food / Re: Beware Of The Contents Of Your Caprisonne! by akuji: 9:33pm On Nov 06, 2013
Thanks for sharing your story Specco...we really need to start understanding the reality of our food industry. Things are not always as they claim on the packet. Me I rather know and be cautious than be ignorant.
If you examine the packet contents itself, you will see that the liquid is not the clearest and Capri Sonne to my knowledge is a clear
, albeit yellowish, liquid. I believe my friend and what she found and have no reason to doubt her.

Your phone is as good as dead! Electronics does not mix with water. Take it to a phone repairer and see if they can salvage anything but I highly doubt it.!

Politics / Woman Dumps Baby In Toilet In Jigawa State by akuji: 4:33pm On Sep 03, 2013
Dutse - The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa on Tuesday arrested a 23-year-old woman for allegedly dumping her new born baby boy in a toilet in Hadeja town of Hadejia Local Government Area of the state. The Corps Commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, said in Dutse that the suspect was arrested following a tip-off by patriotic citizens.
He explained that the suspect gave birth to the baby on Sept. 1 around 11.30p.m and allegedly dumped it in the toilet. The Commandant said that the suspect alleged that she was impregnated by a man who ordered her to dump the baby.

According to him, the man also been arrested, adding that “he confessed to committing the offence”. Gidado said that medical examination conducted at General Hospital, Hadejia, revealed that the suspect gave birth to the baby. He stated that efforts were being made to recover the baby, which he said “might be dead by now due to the hours it spent” in the toilet. The commandant said that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation had been concluded.

Business / Re: How Safe Is Western Union On Aliexpress.com by akuji: 4:29am On Aug 28, 2013
Maybe not PayPal specifically...a payment escrow service should be provided by the site conducting the transaction. Goodluck!
Business / Re: How Safe Is Western Union On Aliexpress.com by akuji: 12:53am On Aug 28, 2013
Always make sure u use a payment method where ur money is held by the 3rd party and you can actually see your goods before ur money is released. Western union doesn't work that way...let me guess, the seller wants you to put the money into western union and get a ref nos which you will give to them before they can release the goods.?! Hmmm.

Although not all use of this method is a scam, what guarantees do you have that your goods will be released and if they aren't, what recourse do you have? Western union does not accept liability for scams you know.
My advice is use PayPal or some other reputable company that would hold the money before the goods arrive. Don't use western union for such a transaction.

.

You are so right. Food like ugba is also used in ngwongwo or abacha when it literally has near maggots crawling out of it. On the one hand it gives us really strong stomach, on the other hand it might be a contributory factor in ppl just randomly dieing from food poison (naija being naija will cite juju and dibia of course).

Chillisauce:

What kind of humor is that one undecided.

I expected u to apologize and here you are rolling euyes. Clearly, the OP felt insulted, what you should have done, even if you meant no harm is to apologize.

On topic,

I think it's based on the bacteria it releases. Some bacteria are good for the bodies while some are not. Always check the expiry date of your purchases before consumption

Apologise? Why exactly...abeg free me joor. You have more chance of getting blood out of a stone than me apologising. What exactly did I say wrong? If you and OP cannot see the tongue in cheek humour than I have no more reason to continue engaging you both. Shikena. grin shocked cool
Career / Re: A Concern Graduate by akuji: 7:04pm On Aug 26, 2013
My dear, that s the unfortunate situation in the whole of Nigeria today. The rich are getting richer, governors and senators put their families, or those they are sleeping with in post and the money earmarked for projects, which will ultimately provide employment to the masses, is embezzled and squandered and used to purchase mansions in London and US. It's not easy o.
