Overprotection.
Fryx:
She is jealous of anything female around me. Even if it’s my cousin sister (which she very well know it’s my cousin sister)

She don’t want me to play or laugh with any other lady. She will either chip in to divert attention to herself or nag me for days for it. She will change again if I assure her that I’ve got only her.

I think that’s the only thing causing issue between us. She lacks confidence too. I will often catch her assuring herself that she will just learn to trust me and accept whatever disappointment it brings.

I have already made up my mind that she is not a woman to live under the same roof with. She is that type of woman that is better to get a separate apartment for and only see once in a while. Most importantly, a type of woman to keep secret from.

She is very caring though. If I tell her I am going out, she will call me about every 30 minutes. She will say she is checking on me.

But once she sense another lady around me, she will immediately change and stop checking up on me. She just hate the idea of me being with another lady.

Then I noticed after the proposal this lady started being to demanding she wants this she wants that which I try my best and provide but when I don't this lady will call me names this and that the wrist chain this lady wears alone is about 150k but she always tells me I did nothing so I decided to end it all yesterday. Did I took the right decision?

Politics / Re: Group Beckons Ogun Born Economist To Run For Governor by AKWATGOLD1(m): 4:24pm On Jan 23
This is a biggest fat lies of our time.

If Ogun is comprises of Ogun Central, Ogun West and Ogun East Senatorial constituency, and Ogun Central (Amosun spent 8yrs), Ogun East (Dapo Abiodun is on second time now) then Ogun West should be allowed to be governor to encourage Fair and Justice.

Worldfamous07:
Egba agenda 2027: Group roots for Adeoye as Abiodun's successor

A socio-political group, Youth Involvement in Good Governance (YIGGOM) on Tuesday said that with the Supreme Court affirming the governorship of Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State till May 2027, the stage is set for the people of Ogun Central Senatorial District to begin to look for a technocrat who could take over from the governor in 2027.

The group in a statement on Tuesday noted that though it was not unaware of the agitation of Ogun West Senatorial District to have a first shot at the governorship seat since the state was created about 48 years ago but this does not mean that the Egba people who are abundantly qualified should not aspire to lead the state again.

In the statement signed by National President of YIGGOM, Olayiwola Ahmed, the group said "we are unapologetically behind Egba Lokan Agenda, meaning that we are supporting and preaching that a thoroughbred, visionary, highly intelligent tecnocrat with passion for good governance and accountability from Ogun Central should take over from Gov Dapo Abiodun after May 29, 2027.

"We are not unaware of the agitation of Ogun West Senatorial District to produce the next governor of the state for the very first time but the governorship seat is not the exclusive preserve of any part of the state and additionally, the Egbas are equally abundantly qualified to seek to succeed Gov Abiodun.

"We have equally heard that some notable Egba indigines like the immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Sharafadeen Tunji Ishola and host of others are also signifying interest to run the 2027 governorship race.

"However, with the benefit of hindsight, we are of the strong opinion that the next Governor of our dear state should be a thoroughbred technocrat, a full blown professional with cutting edge knowledge to manage, maximise and harness the abundant natural resources in the state.

"It is on this note that we are putting forward Dr Gbenga Adeoye, an accomplished Chartered Accountant, a lawyer, a socio-economic development expert and a humanitarian par excellence.

"Dr Adeoye is young, dynamic with exemplary leadership qualities and love for good governance and accountability. He is the next biggest fortune that will impact the state for the generation unborn to be proud of. We sincerely trust that his leadership is the much expected game changer in the affairs of Ogun State".

My opinion on this kind of high roofing is that it reduces the amount of heat in the building which makes the building cooler than low roofing.

Family / Re: How Do I Clear This Guilt Against My Dad? by AKWATGOLD1(m): 2:02pm On Jan 23
Length and breadth of my advice to you is Forgive your father even your mother still recognised him as her husband
Mercylike:
Growing up with my family, I grew up not liking my dad but liking my mother so much that I can go to the extreme for her. It all started like this;

While we were growing, my dad having like 2 wives never really cared about us. Not even our steps siblings who are older than us. Their own even worse, they struggled and worked hard to get what the want with little or no help from our dad. Except for 1 or 2 out of 7 of them, the rest stopped at secondary school (public). My dad had no intention of being responsible for them.

Back to myself and my brother which are the only kids my mom gave my dad, he never still feels responsible.

Throughout my primary, secondary and tertiary years, I can't pinpoint one time that my dad bought sandal, cloth or anything for us. The only drug my dad has ever bought for us when we are seriously sick is paracetamol, even if we have serious sickness, he doesn't care. All he does is to call my mother to come take care of us (my mother doesn't stay fully with us because it won't even be convenient in such house with step mom but whenever she comes, she could spend a week).

Infact he was un-interested in sending us to school but thanks to my MOTHER. Though she didn't read well as she stopped as primary 5 or so but she said that she vow that she will train her children to school if they are ready to learn. Myself and my bro were ready to learn and my mom entered debts just to make sure we go to school. I could remember giving up when I gained admission, my dad already told us that he didn't send us to go to school ooo. I didn't know how my mother did it, she came home and gave me the acceptance fee and school fees with some other money. ( I cried before and after the incident, I don't know how this woman got this money but I'm sure she took loan). cry

Sometimes our step mom gets jealous thinking it was my dad that was doing those efforts for us but never did she know that all was my mom. I won't deny, dad contributed little but it was by force, begging his friends to plead to him to pay part of our school fee and all. But he is always boisterous of the fact that his sons are in school and all which angers me to see him boast with me especially.

Till now, I still don't feel responsible for my dad well-being. I have tried adjusting myself to loving him well but I can't. I just like him and respect him as a father but for my mom, I will do anything for her. I will go hungry for her, I will starve for her.

Nairalanders, it's being like 3 or 4 years I went to see my dad even though his place is not too far from me. He has been calling me several times that he wants to see me but I have always told him that I don't have time.

My problem is, my dad has never changed.. He is always concerned about himself, all he ask is money. He hardly calls to check up, except when he need money.
Since I started working, I have never defaulted in sending him money every month but I send my mother 3 times or even 4 times what I send my dad. After all, he has our step brothers and sisters he can always ask for money. So I don't really care about him.

One statement he usually makes since we were small "Go and meet your mother". He doesn't feel responsible for our needs, all na our mother.
Though he gives us daily feeding while we were growing and living under him but thanks to my mother that pays food vendors around to give us food whenever we are hungry because my dad doesn't give us enough.

Many stories but I can't say all...

Nairalanders, I still feel guilty as to why I don't like him. It feels like I have not forgiven him but to be honest, I have no issue with him.

How can I free myself from this guilt?

Am quite sure, she will cherish you more because you have achieved a lot in shaping her life. That is communication is very key in any relationship either short-lived or log-lived relationship.

Politics / Re: Alia: Benue Made The Wrong Choice Of Gov by AKWATGOLD1(m): 3:08pm On Jan 02
Despite been FOD BASKET OF THE NATION. Benue State has not been blessed with a good governors after George Akume.
Ojotu1:
By Peter Awunah, PhD

The people of Benue State who voted for Hyacinth Alia as governor of the state in last year’s election must be ashamed of themselves for making such a mistake. Since he came to power, no one can tell the direction that the man who boasts of being the ship that ferried all APC candidates to victory is heading. There is evident confusion even within his cabinet. There is no clear focus, no coordination and no leadership.

Anyone who has visited Makurdi, the Benue State capital in the last seven months must have seen the potholes on all major roads in the town. Makurdi has become dusty, and even the street sweepers are no longer seen in the early hours of the day cleaning the city.

The worst situation is in the state ministries, departments and agencies of government. No activity goes on in any of the MDAs. Government House is not left out. According to those who have been there since June last year, the place stinks with no water running in the taps for flushing of toilets.

Alia says he is paying salaries of the workers and as far as he is concerned, that’s all that is needed. He doesn’t release overheads and other logistic support to the ministries and agencies for their operations. But the civil servants love it of course, because if they can sit at home all week and still receive their salaries at the end of the month, how is that bad? Productivity is relegated to the background.

Governor Alia operates like a parish priest who cannot be questioned. All that the people have to say is “Yes Father”. He gave them that response during the campaigns but they thought he was joking. Now they know better.

The man has elevated nepotism to heights never before seen in the history of Benue State. As a former priest, one would expect him to practice what he preached about unity and equality, but no, Alia is a preacher who would tell the people “do as I say, not as I do”.
There is no tangible project to show since his administration came on board other than failed promises, lopsided appointments, and marginalisation.

Alia is sitting on huge money which has come in from Abuja. Benue State has received fat allocations but the Governor is silent on what has come in. As far as he pays the workers, his government is doing nothing else to develop the state.

No project is going on anywhere. He awarded contracts for the construction of 16 short streets of 15 kilometers and took out N9 billion for the projects but no construction is taking place on the roads.

Alia is not Prepared to govern Benue State. He came ill prepared and is acting exactly in that manner. His first seven months in office are the worst in the state since the return of democracy in 1999. The priest-turned-politician is the most lackluster of all the Benue governors in the last 25 years.

Governor Alia has failed to live up to expectations and instead of delivering on his campaign promises, he has taken up unnecessary battles against perceived critics, stakeholders, and his party members. His arrogance, ineptitude, pride, and all-knowing attitude have taken Benue State backward by over two decades.

The group of people who are worst hit and must be feeling ashamed are those who campaigned for him and mobilized voters in support of the Yes Father movement.

At first, many thought the governor was on a steep learning curve and the ship of the state would be righted and put on the course being an unfamiliar terrain for him. But unfortunately, Alia is not ready to learn or accept his mistakes.

The governor has become so power-drunk that he is now inaccessible to the electorate, stakeholders, and even his party members. Shame! Effective governance is about feedback and criticism. No one knows it all.

Should we talk about his controversial contracts? According to Sahara Reporters, Alia spent whopping amounts in just four months in office awarding fictitious contracts. Between May 29 and September 30th, he was reported to have received and spent more than N46 billion of state resources, prominent among which was the duplication of contracts for the procurement of Hummer buses as palliative measures.

Alia is truly a bad market for Benue. The people of the state made the wrong choice this time!
