Politics / My Oga At The Top!!! by Akwenukemarho(m): 12:50pm On Mar 14, 2013
The last couple of days has seen Nigerians reeling with laughter at the way an NSCDC official handled himself on TV, lots of Nigerian youths have taken to the internet with lots of jokes and humor about the whole fiasco, but before this month runs out the whole story would have died down, and we'll go back to how things were before, but there's something very disturbing about all this, and that is "MY OGA AT THE TOP" what happened has cast a dark shadow on the image of Nigerian leaders, we are now forced to ask ourselves what kind of leaders do we have? Are our leaders poised to lead us in this 21st century? Are they up to the task of developing us? The answer is obvious and it's very sad that after this whole fiasco, Nigerians will go back to accepting this "sickness" as something that can not be cured, yes it is a sickness, corruption is the worst form of sickness, and it'll continue killing us if we chose to continue making jokes out of it, corruption put that man there, and that same corruption will keep him there, we need to have a change of mind towards our view of corruption. If Nigeria must change then corruption has to go!!!

I love you mom, happy mothers day, and to all the people who have lost their mom, today is not a day to be sad, rather it's a day to reflect on all the good times you spent with her, no matter where she might be, her heart goes out to you.

must u resort to calling the Op a M0ron? Is'nt it unchristian to call people names? Well I'm not so surprised seeing that christianity is among one of the most intolerant religions, you are indeed a christian,

Very nice write up @ op, personally as a freethinker, I give no thoughts to what the after life holds, I'd rather channel my thoughts to ways I can make my life on earth worthwhile, the idea of eternity sucks, like the op rightly put it, there would be no dreams or aspiration cos u'll be living all eternity like just another day, there would be no goals no objectives to achieve and it's gon be very boring and tiring, and before long there would be another war in heaven ( that is if we're talking about heaven) and we'll experience everything we were experiencing while on earth all over again,

it's not a blind observation my goodman, i have visited a few barracks and i am yet to encounter an albino military personnel, or have you seen one? if you have where is the proof?

must there be?

please, i'm tired of all these s.tupid questions on nl.

albinos typically are used for "intelligence" work ie undercover.

you people should find worthwhile things to do with your time.

you know they cant stay in the sun, they need specialized care for other things, yet you still have to ask this kind of d.aft question?

gej needs to provide jobs for people. undecided
. Why do you think the question is daft? And don't wait for Gej to provide jobs, u can think of something meaningful to do to be self sufficient, don't wait for the government to come and help u clean your an.us, if I'm daft for asking this question, then I think you are DAFTER for answering it,

Greetings to my distinguished fellow nairalanders, I have made a startling observation which is that there's no albino in the nigerian armed forces, or the Nigeria police force, is there some sort of unwritten law that forbids albinos from joining the armed forces? Because I have never in all my life seen an "obobo soldier" or has any one here seen one? P.S: this is not to ridicule my fair brothers and sisters, it's just an innocent observation,
Celebrities / Re: First Family Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria by Akwenukemarho(m): 9:25am On Feb 19, 2013
Well, Mr president eats twice a day, I guess he skips lunch, while master jonathan, adds the skipped lunch to his own lunch, making it a double lunch, I think that's the problem, so the president has to start eating three times a day again, so that little jona can lose some weight and we can all relax our mind, and allow Mrs jonathan to also REST in PEACE,

A well written piece, @ op, nice one, it's always good to give honour to whom honour is due, this man was an excellent doctor, who brought glory to his fatherland, but unfortunately like the op said, Nigeria is a country where men of integrity are scorned while men of credulity are worshiped, MAY GOD HELP NIGERIA,

What happened is very sad indeed, It's just sinking in to me that we've lost someone who had stolen the hearts of millions of africans, she will surely be missed, the cause of death shouldn't be an issue now, what we need to do is reach out to her family and friends in this their time of sorrow, and pray that God gives them the strength, to bear this terrible loss, very painful indeed, Goldie why? Why did u have to die? Smh, *sobs*

I agree with u, but it still falls on the shoulders of the government for failing to instruct them properly,

I used to be at the fore front on the war of tongue lashing the Nigerian police, being a victim of police harassment and brutality, but after watching the video of the police college in ikeja, I have now had a change of mind, how do we expect the police to behave properly when where they are being trained is not even fit to train dogs, not to talk about training police men, should the police man/woman be blamed for soliciting for bribes? Should the police man/woman be blamed for behaving in an uncivilized way? I think the answer is obvious, I believe it is time we realised that men and women of the Nigerian police force are human beings like us, and they don't deserve to be treated like animals, the federal government should be held responsible for the actions of the police force, because they have failed in giving these people the basics for policing, and at such should be held accountable for the actions of the police, next time you see a Nigerian police man dancing azonto/alingo and drinking beer on duty, don't blame him, blame the failed system, because believe it or not, they are also victims of the failed system. #inmyhumbleopinion.

ezme:

I have never seen a rich man confess witchcraft. i mean witchcraft, not wicked acts in collusion with a native doctor like we see on Nollywood movies. All the persons who have been accused of flying at night are the poor. Personally, I believe those who confessed are deluded or they just had reoccurring hallucinations

are u saying that witches and wizards don't exist?
