It is clearly indicated on the contract that they do not give itemized receipt. That was why DW changed to OakBend.

Hello house,

I have an issue and would want experts in d house to wade in.

My friend was issued a B2 visa last June but didn't travel till this January. She was supposed to be going for fertility treatment, which is what is told the entry officer at POE at d airport but they still denied her entry and cancelled her visa, saying dat she is lying and actually wants to come work, otherwise that why wld she want to stay for two months.

What are her chances of reapplying and how can we tackle this issue?

Pls which POE is this?

Hello everyone,

New to this thread....was misinformed about the whole birthing procedure.

I already applied fr visiting visa, i m 3+ months preg n m not showing yet. First time momma. My interview is next month. Wat re my chances?

I m visiting my sis... only traveled to Ghana....

I need info on cheap hosp in seattle n evry other thing i need to know.

I ve got just one shot.

Pls assist n advice....Thanks y'all

Complete a new DS160 and select B2. Go to your appointment profile and change the DS160 number there to the new one; then save it latest three days to your interview date. Start now by obtaining a letter from a doctor in the U.S. stating his/her willingness to take you as a patient and giving the pricing estimate of what this will cost. Goodluck!

alBHAGDADI:
If you had read the entire Luke 19, you would have realized that Jesus was telling a parable. It wasn't a statement of what he is doing.

Now, for Luke 12 and Mathew 10, they both speak of the same thing except that you failed to quote the rest of Mathew 10. If you had done that, you would have realized that the sword Jesus was speaking of is not the type kills or cuts flesh. Rather, it is the type that creates divisions. If you depart from Islam and follow Jesus, your Islamic family will render you an outcast and can even kill you cos Muhammad ordered such. Your following Jesus has created a division between you and your family. That is what the sword Jesus Christ said he brought will do.

Since you lack the spirit, you will never understand the verses and chapters. You, out of your desperation to justify the violence in Islam, was quick to quote them out of context and read the wrong meanings into them.

You took the words out of my mouth.

I knew his securities details were culpable when I read that Yusuf and his friend laid down unconscious for a while before permission was sought to take them to hospital after the accident. If his security details were following him, as they ought to, at the time of the accident, he and and his friend would have been rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident.

I wish the two young men speedy and perfect recovery.

I pray that God will make Mr President to reflect, during this period, on his actions towards other people’s family members that have been killed by the Nigerian soldiers.

Please my people, I need guidance on scheduling emergency visa interview. I am not getting a good date all.

You will first have to book an appointment on the earliest availability date.

After that, the ‘emergency appointment’ field will become visible in your profile.

Click it and state your reason(s) why the available date is not realistic for the purpose of your travel. This could be your travel date, your EDD. Attach a letter from your doctor in Nigeria stating your EDD and medical history, correspondence with a doctor in the U.S. stating pricing estimates, evidence that you have the funds for the medicals, such as bank statement, pay slip. Please also include your budget sheet. You can search ustraveldocs.com for further guidiance.

Goodluck!

Omodadi2:
Good afternoon ppl.
I havve come to really rant here this afternoon as I personally feel that some cases of visa denial including mine are extreme wickedness. What exactly is the criteria to qualify for a US visa or renewal?

I got a B1/B2 visa purposely for birth which I used last year, paid my bills and came back. Went with my mum and my husband came to join us, he was there for 6weeks while we spent 11weeks.

Planned a vacation for December, discovered I was pregnant so cancelled vacation to accomodate childbirth for next year and we opted for dropbox due to our location but his visa was renewed while I was invited for follow up. And interview went thus today- Abuja

VO: Your passport please
Gave her passport
VO: where are you going to
Houston Texas
Are you going with your child
Yes
Does she have a visa already
She was born in the US and eligible to travel with her US visa, I gave birth to her in Houston last year.
VO: Can I have your medical receipts
Gave her all receipts and zero balance statements.
VO: Can u explain why you paid 2300usd for your medical services?
2300 ws the hospitals price for selfpay patient who are not eligible for insurrance and have to pay 1month ahead EDD.
VO: Read through the itemized bill and asked sme question again dding the fact that the main cost is around 23000usd.
I explained myself again. And added thefct that i made other payments for tests, doctor, baby, epodural etc to make a tota bill of about 7,000usd, all receipts in her hands, but she dint check at all.
VO:started typingandasked me where i work and how much I earn monthly
I work with a ....and earn 900,000 naira ( i am intentionally adding this here so u all can see more to my rant) monthly after all deductions.
VO: So you want to use 2300 to pay for health care when you earn 900,000 naira monthly? ( I was confused here cos we were only talking about what I have paid bt had to answer her)
Well, no amount of money is too much for good health if one can afford it and moreso we would also be giving that child the dual citizenship opportunity.
Vo continues to type, i had to say that I am also going again for childbirth thinking that she was granting me visa. She said she knows, we would discuss that. After few seconds, then she looked up and said you arnt eligible this time and gave me the white paper.

I would like our LagosNiv and others to comment on this case. I personally feel Iam eligilbe but wnt to know what exactly went wrong.

Applying again? may have to do this but its really a hard thing for me and my reason for ranting and infact confused. I reside in far north where to get flight to Abuja when you have ur money sef is wahala, i need to take at least 3days leave from office again to attend interview, lodge in a hotel, etc.

I just want to know if we have to opt for the insurance residents payment to be able to renew our visas.

Sorry Omodadi2. Just like mamaron said. If you used the same doctor presented during your previous interview, take the correspondence/contract along with you in your next interview. You should also tabulate the budget and the actual expenditure on a sheet referencing the receipt number for each expenditure item.

You may also consider requesting the hospital/doctor you used then to send a letter of non-indebtedness AND non-recourse to public funds addressed to the embassy in Abuja. You may ask them to send such letter directly to the embassy through email copying you. Don’t worry, it will be alright.

Long post caveat!
So DW and I got our visas approved. She had earlier applied alone but was denied. I had to therefore apply with her, eventhough I still had a valid visa. Because from the interview she had, it seemed the VO had a problem with my monthly income as she asked her again and again about my salary after she had reviewed my previous DS 160 application which I filled to get my current visa. It turned out, when I checked the DS 160, that I did not update my salary information the last time I applied; as I just copied the information from my previous application. The salary figure there was the one I was earning like 5 years ago; and it’s like 25% of my current salary! Lesson 1, always update your DS 160 information correctly, even when you are copying from previous applications.

The first emergency request we made was made under my profile, and was denied with an explanation that applicants who are traveling for the purpose of taking care of pregnant relatives are not eligible for expedited interview. We therefore made another emergency interview request with the same supporting documents using DW’s profile; and was granted. Lesson 2, when making an expedited interview request, apply under your wife’s profile, even when you are the sponsor.

Interview:
We met a very good and professional VO who, seeing the size of DW’s stomach, informed her that she could sit down if she wanted with a smile.

VO: good morning, passport please.
Me and DW: good morning (dropped passports)
VO: why are you going to the US
me: for child birth because of my wife medical history and previous negative experience with medical personnel in Nigeria that is making us scared ( and this is the truth).
VO to DW: where do you work?
DW: I work with ........
VO: how much is your monthly income?
DW: my monthly income is .....
VO: what does this organization do?
DW: (she explained)
VO to me: where do you work?
Me: I work with..... as ......?
VO: what is your monthly income?
Me: my monthly income is ......
VO: how long have you been working with this organization?
Me: (told him)
VO: You have previously worked with (mentioned my former office); as what?
Me: (told him my functions in my former office).
VO: Have you been to the U.S before?
Me: Yes
VO: How many times?
Me: 5 times
VO: what for?
Me: All the trips were for work related trainings?
VO: what is the longest time you have ever spent in the U.S.?
Me: 2 weeks.
VO to DW: how long are you planning to stay?
DW: 2 months ( cuts in and told him I will be staying for 3 weeks)
VO to DW: do you have any relatives in Houston?
DW: no.
VO: do you have any other children?
Me: yes, 2 children.
VO: are you traveling with them?
Me: no.
VO: when is your due date?
DW: February
VO: are you sure the airline will allow you to board? (really DW’s stomach is very big)
Me: yes, up to the 35th week of pregnancy.
VO: do you have an estimate for this trip?
Me: yes, (passed the budget sheet together with correspondences with Dr F and OakBend to him)
VO: (reviewing the budget sheet and correspondences) how did you know this doctor?
Me: from research, and we spoke with a couple of people that have used him.
VO: your visas have been approved (passed us the instructions for picking them).

Lesson 3, always tell the truth. The VOs are just there to do their work.

I thank God first of all. Thank you to all the mamas and papas in this forum. Special thanks to Omodadi, Li, Mamao and nerftitiram. I’m sorry for the long post; just wanted to help folks avoid the mistakes we made.

P.S. DW has never travelled outside the country before.

When our original Emergency request was rejected, that field became active again so we could make another request without paying another fee. Except the procedure has been reviewed within the last 3 weeks, I'd say give it some time then try again.

Really? That was not my experience sha.

Not at all. Emergency requests don't cost you money. I advise you make a new request, improve on the justification, then include additional supporting documents. All the best.

Thanks Li, I am unable to make another emergency request since the field for that is no longer there in my profile after the initial emergency request I made. How did you go about it?

Thanks

Caveat: This is the longest Nairaland post you will ever read in your life. grin

We had our interview in Lagos. Appointment time, 6:30am. Even though we qualified for dropbox, we decided to opt for an interview instead. This was due in part to our wanting to avoid a follow-up interview which many here seem to justifiably dread. Scheduling a face-to-face was an inconvenience but a minor one compared to what could be as there was still a chance we would be required to book appointment for a follow-up interview; an appointment which, according to Fyorgyn is not likely will be expedited. Worse still, if only one of us was issued a visa with the other getting the 221g. DW and I wanted to be together so we agreed to waive our rights to apply under the dropbox programme. It is worth noting that we had to initiate two emergency interview requests before it was finally granted;

Please Li, did you have to pay another visa fee in order to make the second emergency request? DW and my emergency request was denied today.

The two previous CSs that DW had, she stayed four days in the hospital and our son stayed almost two weeks because of jaundice.
This is just to let you know why I'm concerned about the charges for additional hospital days.

Vlesparza:

I apologize if the statement sounds harsh as I mean no disrespect. I simply want to emphasize that he be informed as to the prices for an additional stay at any hospital given the statement that was mentioned made it seem as if the poster was not aware of this. Also, as honorable advice, I suggest anybody that plans on making the trip have enough money to cover at least a $1300 unforeseen expense should it arise and not be caught off guard and jeopardize their immigrant status. My statement is meant as an honest advice and I hope I was not taken in any other way. As it is, I hope my advice helped anyone who was undecided to embark on this trip or cancel it if their budget does not allow it.

she can apply alone. You don’t need to reapply as your current visa will grant you entry with her on a medical Visa. She should include a copy of ur Visa and data page in her document in case it’s needed.

The interviewer can ask questions like... are u married? Who is accompanying u? She can now say u already have a valid visa and can show evidence for their record.

Religion / Re: Kenneth Copeland Lays Hands On Oyedepo At Winners Chapel's 36th Anniversary by ALADE4J2: 12:32pm On May 07, 2017
Kc3000:
Of course, Oyedepo would be found fraternizing with Copeland, his American counterpart in the fraudulent gospel of riches. These are the ones that have corrupted Jesus' gospel of salvation, and replaced it with a gospel of prosperity. These money-grabbers have so exalted themselves above their congregations that nothing they do or say can be called into question. Any efficient money-grabber is a self proclaimed 'man of God' that declares himself to be beyond reproach, and has the sole authority to condemn to hell any wayward sheep that dares to question his methods. Copeland's $6.3 million dollar Texas mansion and $20 million jet pales in comparison to Oyedepo's loot, but the methods are eerily similar across the board in the lucrative business of prosperity gospel.
My brother, please know these are men of God. Let me share the testimony I heard in church today with you. A woman left Living Faith Chuch for years. Her son, who is almost 12 years later started getting sick to the extent that he became deaf. She attended this liberation night service on Friday where Dr Copeland mentioned her case and later when Bishop Oyedepo was preaching, he mentioned the same case. She got home after the service and, in the afternoon yesterday she discovered that her son was responding to their conversation. The boy confirmed he could hear them. And since yesterday the boy could now hear. She came to church today with the boy. This happened in Living Faith Church Byazhin, Kubwa, Abuja.
I hope this will help your faith 'cos I was once like you, but now I know better. May God lead you in the right path.
