Chaiii. Some people wey no dey this MMM even panic pass people wey dey.

Biko wish the people involved well na.

My fear for them remains that, "if" they defrost the accounts in January, the massive panic will prompt lots of people to opt out of the system and in that case who will pay who, when new people no longer join?

I wish everyone involved well!

Very good point. Another point is if participants cannot Get Help during this 'freeze' but can Provide Help, who exactly are they providing help to? Since we were told it has no owner, whose bank account are people willing to provide help paying into?

Politics / Re: Sanusi, His CBN Mistress And Their Escapades - Premium Times by ALADE4J2: 3:17pm On Jun 02, 2013
I seldom comment on NL. This will be my second comment in year. I cannot but comment on this issue because most posters are missing the point in this report. It is not about GEJ or SLS. It is about not following due process in recruitment. It is about spending tax payers money to satisfy personal thirst. I believe some of the posters here have applied for jobs in CBN in the past . Under past CBN administrations, you see people getting jobs in CBN without knowing anybody almost on an annual basis. But under SLS, you hardly see job adverts from CBN. You will be seeing your Northern colleagues resigning from their job to join CBN. Those in the banking sector know what I am talking about.

Apart from the job advert for ICT professional that came out last year, when was the time CBN advertised job? That is the angle we should be talking about in this report.

Religion / Re: Pastor Adeboye's Birth In 1942 Was Mysterious by ALADE4J2: 11:48am On Jan 08, 2013
ezme:

I believe the purpose of this thread is not far from mischief on the part of the OP, I would also not behave like the typical Nigerian "touch not my anointed" Christian who would turn a blind eye to what the MOG actually did. Personally, I don't see the purpose of this story surrounding his birth. All these stories should not be coming up in our churches as what you create out of your congregation are disciples of yours and not of God. You hear Christians scream God of this MOG and God of that MOG. Jesus is our only mediator and all glory should go to him, not anyone trying to give himself/herself a deity status. This is the reason why there has been no change in the situation of our country. So many people go to Church but who they worship is their pastor and every word that proceeds from his mouth. We are so religious yet we are so far from God. We should all place our Christian life in perspective and decide this day if we actually follow Christ or our pastors.

Why I agree with you that a lot of people worship their pastors ignorantly (there is actully a very thin line between human worship and worshiping God), but there is nothing wrong in praying to the God of your pastor as this is encouraged in Scriptures in II Chronicles 20 v 20 '...believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper...'. We saw several times in the Scriptures where God introduced Himself as the 'God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob'. When people pray to the God of their pastors, they are actually using the principle of 'just men make perfect'.
This is different from praying in the NAME of their pastors. We as Christians can pray to God ONLY through the NAME OF JESUS. Christians should also judge the instructions given by their pastors WITH the Bible. If what your pastor tells you is not in line with the Bible, then don't do it. But the problem with most Christians is that they don't STUDY their Bibles hence they lack knowledge and therefore perish. Pls note that STUDYING is different from READING; reading makes you half-educated while studying makes you learned. Most people on NL do are half-educated as far as the Bible is concerned and that is why they are wrong on many topics they comment on. Half-education is actually worse than no education, because someone that is half-educated believes he is right when he is actually wrong. May God help us all. God bless u.

From the way many of you commented, I can rightly say you did not hear this man directly or witness it. The OP misinformed all of you. May God forgive him.

I heard him loud and clear. I watched the program live on the internet.

The man of God did not claim his birth was mysterious. What he was trying to say was that many people that are over the age of 70 years do not know their true date of birth. That people use events to determine date of birth.

Then he went further and explain how he determined his. He asked his mother when was he born? His mother did not know but she only knew it was in a year when a king was enthroned in Ilesha. So from their he knew it would be 1942 because that was when a king was actually crowned. His mother again said it was on a Sunday. He said he asked his mother how did she remember it was on Sunday and his mother said she remembered because people were celebrating something in the Church so everybody left home and she was left alone in the house. His mother again said it was a day that it rained and the sun was shining at the same time which according to traditional Yoruba belief that it was a day Tiger is delivering baby. Because of this story his siblings used to call him tiger.

OP you have lied and misled people.

You beat me to this. I watched that programme live on RTM. Exactly what you wrote was what was said. Some people just like insulting MOG when there is no reason whatsoever to do that. @ all, please don't misinterprete the topic of the sermon ' the wonders of His (Jesus') name'. It is the wonders of Jesus' name and NOT the wonders of Daddy Adeboye's names as the OP would want you to believe.

@OP, may God have mercy on you and indeed everyone of us.

Health / Re: Quack Indian Doctors Allegedly Exploiting Nigeria In Abuja by ALADE4J2: 4:12pm On Jun 05, 2012
torkaka: @op
you are a bloody nit wit uncircumcised liar!! i have been to that hospital so as a lot of other people i know! the first thing that comes to your mind when at the indian hospital is how whack and useless nigerian hospitals are!
their doctors receive you at the entrance and you are treated with outmost respect (what i'll call vip treatment in nigerian hospitals). infact everybody that goes there comes out with the same verdict; "if only nigerian hospitals can be half as good as this". consultants are always on sit and appointments are kept!
the garbage you just posted is a well known bring him down syndrome that patients and visitors alike are aware of.
yes the cost is high but i'd rather pay more than go to that coffin house called national hospital!
my advice to you and your sponsors, go back and put your act together and brace up for the competition! de-marketing wont do you any good!

let me start by saying that I follow the discussions on NL regularly but I rarely post comments. but because this issue has to do with human live, I am compelled to comment.
The name of the hospital in question is Primus. I can confirm to you that what the OP posted is the truth. A friend (a nurse) of mine who was working there at the time told me of this incident even before it got to the press. she had since left there.
Primus started very well with good and professional Indian doctors, according to her, but because the Indian owner was not paying these good Indian doctors well as agreed before she brought them into the country, they left the hospital after some time and went back to Indian. the owner then brought another set of 'doctors' who are actually not qualified to operate in the hospital. these 'doctors' are quacks and therefore accept the little salary the owner pays.
A lot malpractices actually was going on in that hospital that compelled this my friend to send an anonymous letter to the Nigeria Nurses Registration Council (can't remember the name of the body very well again). The Council came but after the owner bribed them, the matter was swept under the carpet.
In case you have a medical problem and you are thinking of using this hospital but still doubt me, please mail me privately so that I can link you up personally with this friend.

Definitely forged. The amount in words is written over the stamp. How can that be. Was the check stamped before it was written.

Thank you very much. It appears we have many forensic auditors on NL. The cheque is forged.

Though I know that the governor in question is very corrupt, but the truth must be told in a TRUTHFUL way if it is to be called the truth. You don't have to support facts with forgeries.

The transaction took place= fact
The cheque displayed was used for the transactions= forgery

I don't think the cheque is real. The cheque is dated 15/6/2010 while the stamp date is 1/6/2010.

Most of my friends are from the southern part and i had been opportuned to travel round the entire region especially from jere to kwoi towards keffi in nassarawa state and from  akwanga to gwantu into kaf. What baffles me most is, HOW CAN A MINUTE POPULATION IN SOUTHERN KADUNA WANNA DECLARE WAR ON THE MAJORITY? it does not tally.

The same way Ilorin, a predominantly Yoruba town, ended up being ruled by an Emir (a hausa man)

Well said , you need to come to the North and see how Buhari supporters are behaving. Pls ask the Christians in Jos and Bauchi some questions before you vote for Buhari.IF BUHARI WINS, EXPECT BOKO HARAM ACTIVITIES TO BE LEGALIZED. Pls cast your votes for either Ribadu or Goodluck but not Buhari.
God !I can't believe I actually wanted to vote for Buhari some days ago. Thank God it is not too late.
Politics / Re: Gen. Buhari Is Very Desperate To Become President. by ALADE4J2: 2:43pm On Apr 13, 2011
Why I have always known that GEJ is too desperate to stay in office, I am surprised to learn now that Buhari is so desperate to become the next president to the extent of associating with Ciroma, IBB, Atiku et al. Who will he then probe? Mind you it was his anti-corruption campaign that made my family and I to decide to vote for him despite the fact that we are Christians and Yorubas. I was actually ready to forget his antecedents concerning Yorubas and Christianity hoping that he would stop corruption in the country.Thank God I know this now before the election.
Honestly, if you take away these people plus Obj from PDP, then PDP will actually become a new party. GEJ has not impressed me in any way; no charisma, poor command of English language despite his doctorate degree, he is clueless, he has dwindled our external reserves. But I think I'll prefer GEJ to Buhari with this latest development.
Come to think of it, GEJ promised free and  fair elections and delivered that in the NASS elections, though there are many questions marks in some areas but at least Obj lost out in Ogun State (which makes me very happy). And may be he has not performed to my expectation because he has only spent 11 months or so in power and the bulk of that has been dedicated to election campaigns.
I am seriously considering voting for GEJ because Buhari has disappointed me by his association with these crooks.
Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo Acquires Yet Another N4.5b Private Jet by ALADE4J2: 2:23pm On Apr 08, 2011
1) Jesus was not poor when on earth; He always moved in a convoy; He had a treasurer in Judas; He wore expensive cloth no wonder when  he died soldiers fought over His dress. Remember what He told some of His disciples who complained (like some of you are doing now) after seeing a woman pour a bottle of expensive oil on the feet of Jesus and use her hair to wipe it off?
2) Abraham the father of faith was a very rich man; he had servants, cattle etc and he was the first man to pay tithe
3) Isaac and Jacob were also very rich

Christianity does not depict poverty and suffering but rather prosperity as confirmed by the Bible when it says 'we are gods, '
So please stop complaining about anointed men of God so that you will not be cursed.

And please he never 'raised' money to buy anything or fund any project. The man is into a lot of businesses including oil and shipping

Remain blessed

Religion / Re: When Does A Man Of God Become An Idol? by ALADE4J2: 1:02pm On Mar 25, 2011
I don't think there is anything wrong in calling your pastor "daddy" or :our father in the Lord". I do agree that there is really a very thin line between respecting and worship men of God. After all, God says in the Bible that we should believe in His prophets so that we will prosper.
Not all the so called men of God are real, but they few ones out there deserves our respect (not worship: God says my glory shall no man share). You shall no them by their fruit. PLEASE CAN I GET A WITNESS IN THE HOUSE CONCERNING PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE AND BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO
Politics / Re: No Political Party Owns Nigeria -oyedepo by ALADE4J2: 6:14pm On Mar 24, 2011
Somebody has to remind Obasanjo that politic is not 'a do or die affair'. Nigeria is for Nigerians and NOT for the political parties. We a need a youth revolution in this country. We need to demand that people that have held elective offices and that have had political appointments should NOT seek elective office and political appointment again in this country.

Thank you Papa for reminding us again
