Agbegbaorogboye: Nothing degrading there. They host events. It's there in what you pasted. What I'm pointing out is it wasn't an invite from Chatham house. Rather, it was a paid event I pity people that trust you with anything whatsoever... Your behavior in public is concerning |

No Nigerian politician should go to AriseTV or any religious gathering be it church or mosque again, rather they should satisfactorily talk to the Nigerian electorate first via town hall meetings... How you see am? |

Agbegbaorogboye: Which means Chatham house was paid to host the event You have started to degrade a very reputable and respected organization because they associate with the one you detest... Has Obi or Atiku not been UK in recent time? Did Atiku not owe $5m gbese just to travel to US? So back in 1931 that Ghandi visited the Chatham House, he paid them too |
Politics › The Chatham House - About Me. by alanto(op): 9:00am On Dec 06, 2022 |
Some people are asking about Chatham and its importance to our political leaders.... So I copied the about me page of the their website... I would have copied from wikipedia but its a long read. alanto: About us We are an independent policy institute and a trusted forum for debate and dialogue. Our research and ideas help people understand our changing world.
Chatham House helps people, societies and governments understand and adapt to seismic change.
We provided thought leadership on key issues that defined the 20th century. We helped craft the multilateral institutions and mechanisms of global financial stability after the Second World War. We gave African independence leaders a platform throughout decolonization. We were key to Anglo-Soviet track-two diplomacy initiatives. Our research influenced China’s establishment of low-carbon economic zones. And the Chatham House Rule has helped foster open dialogue and ideas-sharing.
Chatham House has been a source of independent analysis, trusted dialogue and influential ideas for one hundred years. Today, at the beginning of our second century, we continue to offer solutions to global challenges and actively seek to empower the next generation to change their world.
Our three second century goals are intended to enable and build peaceful, sustainable and inclusive societies. We are privileged to hold a long-standing position of trust on the world stage and we seek to use this to champion positive change for people everywhere. We do this through:
Events Chatham House events offer unique access to thought leadership, best practice and insight from world leaders, policy influencers and academics.
We deliver webinars, conferences and simulations that help connect diverse, engaged audiences and build momentum for positive change.
We are home to the Chatham House Rule, used around the world to enable participants at events to speak more freely on sensitive topics.
Publishing Our independent, peer reviewed reports, research papers and briefings offer new ideas and policy recommendations on challenges facing the world.
We also publish research in our highly regarded journals, International Affairs and the Journal of Cyber Policy. The World Today magazine showcases the latest news and opinion. Our Insights book series provides new perspectives on an uncertain world.
We also share commentary on current affairs through our podcast, Undercurrents.
Expertise Chatham House provides authoritative commentary on world events through our network of policy experts. We inform public discourse by briefing governments, media and the general public using clear analysis and accessible, multimedia content.
Leadership Through The Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs, we offer emerging leaders the opportunity to benefit from leadership training and research mentoring.
These fellows bring diverse perspectives to the work of the institute and form a growing alumni network of future policy practitioners.

seborrhic: Rubbish. Unless he had already concluded on terminating the contract sometimes ago and had already secretly engaged new contractors, mobilised them financially and told them to be ready the day after he would make the publicity stunt of terminating the contract on phone. You can't just wake up after a visit to a construction site to announce termination of a road contract and the resumption of work of new contractors the next day,on phone,or even on air, without having made the decision and contingency plans, long ago, unless you are a drug addict or alcoholic leader, that doesn't give any thought before making announcements. When you open bidding for a contract many people enroll, then you scrutinize them till you have like 3, out of which one will be selected as favorite, but there will be a second best... He can decide to fire the favorite and give it to the second best, they have all been interviewed and scrutinized but then you don't really have problem with the contract, contractor or the term of agreement... Your grudge is with Soludo, he exposed Obi so much that obi stock dropped, you guys have hated him since then... If it was Obi that did these shiit, you people will be shouting competence, mr no nonsense |

Soludo used to be a good guy until he spoke about Obi and his lies.... Is Soludo the first governor to terminate contracts on site? These people are desperately looking for Soludo's fall, they are ready to sabotage what Anambra people will benefit from the man for a myopic obi that should have contested for a senate seat because that's where useless people abounds. |

Racoon: See as they are calling killer fulanis as "herders" just as they were calling BH terrorists "Bandits". They are always quick to defend and rationalise the criminal and treasonable atrocities of these killers from Futa Jallon Plateau.
Meanwhile, whosoever tends cattle should buy land and ranch their animal and not the FG frantically trying in futility to acquire the ancestral lands of people & bequeath to their killers as RUGA. This is the global gold standard in animal husbandry. So it's OK to use of igbo cannibal to judge every single Igbos |

Agbegbaorogboye: Stop typing trash abeg How did Lagos state govt create an enabling environment for business to thrive? Which infrastructure did they build? Lagos has always been the top nvestment destination in Nigeria regardless of state govt or whatever. Besides, FDI to Lagos has dropped just as it dropped nationally. Do we also interpret that to mean Lagos state govt has destroyed the business environment and the citizens are no longer friendly to foreign investors? Lagos was mostly planned by the FG while a capital. That planning still exists till today. No major change has taken place in its plan since 1991. Who are the "we" who voted popular persons as against a businessman in 2019? You all just keep on making spurious assumptions based on the unique capabilities of Lagos. Mind you, Lagos is not even the most industrialized state according to statistics, it is Ogun state. If so, Osoba, Gbenga Daniel, Amosun etc deserve to be president more than anyone else. If the Lagos model works so well, can you explain why it did not work out in Osun state where proteges of Lagos landlord ruled for 12 years and threw the state into financial despondency Ok. I've heard you..
