Please, what does it take to be nominated by a state or territory? How easy is it? Any particular advantage over 189? My occupation is listed on CSOL.
Assess your skills & certificate with the relevant authority, submit an EOI through skillselect, apply for state or territory nomination & wait for invitation. The only advantage over 189 is you get extra 5points if nominated by a state & 10points if nominated by a regional area but 189 seems straight forward because you won't have to wait for a state or territory for invitation.
@scrollmeout congrat bro.

The fact of the matter is that
nothing ever worked since Buhari has taken the reins of
power. Nigeria is in comatose. Hunger is all over the
land. Food is getting costlier. Petrol is getting scarce.
Schools are dysfunctional. Hospitals are slaughter slabs.
People are dying. Investors have fled the country. The
Naira is in free fall. Kidnapping is on the rise. Boko
Haram is still a threat. Buhari is denying all the
promises he made during his campaign. Corrupt
elements filled the crannies of his government. Under
his nose, the 2016 budget was corruptly padded.
Your ranting won't stop Buhari being the president till 2019.

Please help answer a sister oooo

please help me on what to do...

I have a bachelor's degree in pharmacology Faculty medical sciences,
i intend migrating to Aussie to do any of the diploma degree or any certificate IV programme in any health courses which I intend to swap and move to PGDE after the 6months Tafe programme
.

1.Please tell me how possible is all the plans i already stated.

2.If am given admission on that can i use my relation's not my parents statement of account for that?

3.I intend starting studies by jan 2017 for those programme,i hope it can be possible for those programmes.
With your B.Sc most schools won't offer you admission into diploma or certificate program unless you going to hide your degree & it will raise an eyebrow at Pretoria, questions like what are doing all these years after your school cert? the best shot is to go for post graduate diploma or graduate certificate with pathways to M.Sc.

thanks for your response, I have read through the thread and even the Australian immigration website but am still unclear about somethings.
For example, my occupation is listed on both the CSOL and the SOL lists but I don't know which to pursue, secondly I don't know the one to select between subclass 189 and 190, lastly, since I already had my ielts done, what is the next step?. Please help me cos the process is still not very clear to me
Thank you
If you are sure of the 60points benchmark, the first thing is to assess your B.Sc with the relevant authority.
189 visa is for workers who are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government.
190 visa is for workers who are nominated by a state or territory government agency.
If nobody is sponsoring you SOL & if you are being sponsored or nominated CSOL.

The truth is, there's no cheap school in Australia, those that are said to be cheap ain't that cheap there's just a slight variation in fees from others. You can get your PR while studying if & only if you meet the requirements for PR by following due process, no magic in that. As a international student, you luckily get your PR while studying, you will still have to pay your subsequent school fees as a international student because you get your admission prior to PR, you will only enjoy the benefits of a PR holder when you apply for a new program after getting your PR.
PR is not by the number of years in Australia but by having the require points and following due process.

ok so what if your fields are different, like the Bsc is different from the Msc, and you have 2 year work experience in the Msc, is it still the bSC you use for the PR regardless??

so someone cant use masters to apply
Assessing bodies are only concern with your first degree, your masters will only count if it's from Australia which is 5points.

Thanx a lot bro. I didn't know spouse's edu fetched points...thought it was only english test. In my wife's case It's HND.....

Can't say whether HND will fetch points, hopefully those that are more informed will answer this.

Thanx for ur rapid response. Its unfair of them to cut down on applicants's work experience o. I have 10 yrs experience and that's where I am looking to rake plenty points as I am 36 and only have 7,7,7.5,7 in IELTS + a B.A.

Give it a trial, just be able to back all your years of experience with employment letters where necessary, pay slips etc you maybe fortunate that your years of experience won't be reduce to less than 5 to 7years that is 10points which is still a good news.
5 to 7years work experience = 10points
Your IELTS = 10points
B.Sc = 15points
Age = 25points
That's 60points & if you are married, include your spouse degree certificate that's additional 5points. Give it a trial bro.

@Alaoeri....why would any assessing body cut down on one's years of experience? Do they normally do this to make hitting 60 elusive or they'v got genuine reasons?

Honestly can't answer but they do claim to have genuine reasons for doing such, am not saying there's not oh but hardly will you see someone from this part of the world whose years of experience isn't tamper.

Good morning: Justwise, Kunlay11, Bosslady, Bellong, Manweysabi, NNBB2012, alaoeri, lawland, scrollmeout, other gurus in the house

I would like to know the chances of securing banking jobs in Australia. What are the prospects for immigrants? Any banker in the house?

I am 37 years old with over 9 years banking experience. I have had a few years experience as a Branch Manager in the banking industry. Though my role has been changed to a "Relationship Manager", I also figured that the most related skilled occupation class (CSOL) is : 149914

My overall IELTS (General) score was 7.5 and my qualifications include BSc, MBA and ACIB.
You will have to assess your B.Sc with the relevant authority which is 15points, your age is 25points, if your years of experience isn't cut by your assessing body which i doubt that is 15points & your IELTS must be minimum of 7 in each band to score 10points, calculate your points if it's up to 60, you are good to go & regarding employment opportunities whenever you get to Australia you will surely cross the bridge.

1.5yrs does not qualify you for post-study visa. This is stated clearly from the link you misquoted from. To be eligible for post-study visa, you need to do 2yrs of academic study.

Yes its possible.

Is it a must for someone to have a two year work experience when going for the pr route!!!
Is not a must but if you want to claim points for working experience it has to be minimum of 3years which is 5points & you have to prove it.

Deposit of $12,300 + the 1300 for health cover. That makes the 12,300$ fees per semester.
Honestly that is almost if not the cheapest you will get for Msc in Engineering, education is expensive in Australia.

But can you skip those assessing bodies is you have 60points? Or you have to go through them?

After my evaluation with vetasesses, but my occupation has not been opened any where. So I am considering another occupation. With 60points already without work experience I want to bypass any assessment if possible..

The vetassess wait was not funny
You will need the outcome of a assessing body for your visa grant, bypassing won't fly, is either you wait for your occupation to be open or reassess for another occupation.

The fellow is "Johnsonolutade"; please note that he has abt 3 years work experience but he didn't claim it. I think the assessing body requires that you have at least one year work experience. I stand to be corrected.

Am just buttressing PR without claiming points for work experience.
