Lionel Messi and his Barcelona teammates spent the night before their Champions League clash with Juventus by laughing at Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports in Spain.
Diario Gol claim that the Barca squad were watching Real Madrid's clash against APOEL in Cyprus from their Turin hotel, and seemed to enjoy that fact that Ronaldo was celebrating his goals rather over-zealously despite them being the fifth and sixth strikes in a 6-0 win.
With Tottenham coming from 1-0 down to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in Group H's other game , that meant that Real were condemned to only finish as group runners-up despite their resounding victory.
And the Spanish report claims that Barca's players rather enjoyed that fact.
It states that Messi was unconcerned by the fact that Ronaldo's two goals took him further clear of Messi in the list of the Champions League's all-time top scorers.
They also claim that "many of Ernesto Valverde's players could not stop laughing when they saw CR7 celebrating the goals as if it were the final of the Champions League."
There were also believed to be jokes about just how poor APOEL were, with the Barca players enjoying themselves as they sit 10 points clear of Real in La Liga, and just a point away from winning their Champions League group.
"I have died many times. That’s where I have beaten Christ. Christ died once and resurrected once. I have died and resurrected and I don’t know how many times I will die and resurrect.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r-56RxHshc After months of rumours, Volvo's parent company, Geely, has completed the acquisition of American flying-car startup Terrafugia, bringing vehicles that transition from the roads to the skies a step closer to reality.
According to the statement, Geely will acquire Terrafugia’s all businesses and assets and the deal has been approved by relevant regulatory authorities, including the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.
Following the acquisition, the firm aims to deliver its first flying car to the market in 2019, with the world's first vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) flying car being made available by 2023.
Since it was formed in 2006, Terrafugia has been working on flying cars, and has since developed a number of working prototypes.
Terrafugia's 'street-legal airplane,' Transition, was approved last year by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to be certified as a Light Sport Aircraft, paving the way for the development of hybrid vehicles weighing up to 1,800 pounds.
The aircraft has fold-out wings that weigh roughly 1,300 pounds, and have fixed landing gear. They seat a maximum of two people, including the pilot.
To operate them, one must have a sport pilot certificate, which requires just 20 hours of training. The craft reaches a cruise speed of 100 mph, and can achieve a range of 400 miles. And, it can fly to a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet.
The firm's newer design, the concept TF-X, has fold-out wings with twin electric motors attached to each end, and is expected to cost £183,000 ($261,000).
Sergio Aguero fainted in Argentina’s dressing room because his blood pressure had decreased, according to reports. The Manchester City striker was taken to hospital after he fainted at half-time in Argentina’s 4-2 defeat to Nigeria on Tuesday.
Aguero had scored in the first half to give Argentina a two-goal lead but did not appear after the break with the rest of his teammates and was replaced by Dario Benedetto. After the match, Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli said: ‘Sergio got dizzy and had to leave at half-time.’
But according to The Sun, Aguero’s dizziness was caused by a drop in blood pressure. The 29-year-old, who has scored 10 goals for City this season, is now travelling back from Russia and will be examined by his club’s medical staff. A statement from City read: ‘Sergio never lost consciousness, and was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks. ‘He will be assessed by the club’s medical team ahead of this weekend’s Premier League trip to Leicester City.’
