Sports / La Liga Beckons For Eric Bailly's Return by Alexcharlz(m): 2:46pm On Jan 03, 2019
Manchester United center back Eric Bailly is reportedly wanted by Spanish La Liga side Sevilla as they look to bolster their squad for the remainder of the season.

According to skysports via Marca, Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has emerged as a target for Sevilla. The Spanish side's boss Pablo Machin is keen to bolster his defensive options and has earmarked the Ivorian.

Eric Bailly had fallen out of favour and down the pecking order of center backs at Manchester United under former boss Jose Mourinho. Even now under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the 24 year old isn't still gunning for first place with the manager opting for Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof instead.

The center back has only featured eight times in the Premier League and eleven times in all competitions for the red devils so far this season. His appearance amounts to just a mere 728 minutes, leading to speculations the center back may opt to join Sevilla amidst interests from the Spanish side.

The deal would see the ivorian return to the league in which he began his career as a professional footballer. Eric Bailly joined the Espanyol B team in 2013, before eventually gaining promotion to the senior squad a year later. He was later sold to Villarreal for £5.13 million in 2015, where his impressive performances for the club saw him move to Manchester United for £34.2million.

Sevilla are keen on signing the ivorian and are said to be closely monitoring the situation of the player at the club whilst also showing interest in Roma defender Ivan Marcano, Diego Carlos of Nantes and Real Valladolid's Fernando Calero.

Sports / Malcom, Draxler And 6 Players Who Need A January Transfer by Alexcharlz(m): 7:34pm On Dec 31, 2018
The January transfer window will see several high profile moves within the next few weeks, but which player do you think needs to make a switch to get their career back on track.

Julian Draxler
Draxler’s future has rarely been up for debate since he moved to the French capitals with Paris saint Germain.

The German international has since been limited on both time and chances as he slowly fell behind the likes of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.

The 25 year old has featured for PSG for just 975 minutes in 15 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

Julian Draxler is a talent most European clubs would love to see leading the ranks. But somehow, he’s been surplus to requirements at the French capitals since the very day he stepped foot into it.

Would you love to see Draxler at your club?

Mesut Ozil
Mesut Ozil’s future still lies in the whirlwind as the midfielder remains in a state of uncertainty with new manager Unai Emery.

Ozil has seen himself fall out of favour and the starting lineup in recent weeks and have been rumoured to be set for a switch in the future.

The 30 year old has been rumoured to have interested the likes of Bayern Munich and PSG, but no deal has been struck yet with the winter window certain to present opportunities.

Eric Lamela
Tottenham Hotspur winger Eric Lamela is one talent who would probably do better with more opportunity.

The 26 year old has had limited playing time, falling behind the likes of Heung min son, Lucas Moura, Christian Erikson and Dele Alli in Pochettino’s starting list.

The winger has featured for just 564 minutes in 11 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals and providing two more assists for teammates.

With the talent he has, should Eric Lamela stay put at Spurs or seek greener pastures elsewhere?

Malcom
Malcom probably made the wrong choice choosing Barcelona over AS Roma in the summer window as rumours have already linked the winger with an early exit after less than six months at the club.

The Brazilian has featured for just 97 minutes in five La Liga matches and doesn’t come into contention with the likes of Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

A loan move could however favour the 21 year old who has age at his side as compared to some of his competitions at Barcelona.

Alvaro Morata
Between Maurizio Sarri and Eden Hazard in false nine, it’s definitely finished for Alvaro Morata at Chelsea.

Since making a controversial switch from Real Madrid, Morata hasn’t really seemed to kick it off at the London blues leading to the club signing Oliver Giroud who has joined the ranks rather than help matters.

Morata has been linked with a return to Serie A side AC Milan in a move which could see Gonzalo Higuain move to the opposite direction.

Adrien Rabiot
Adrien Rabiot leaving Psg is all but certain. When he makes the move however is a mistery we are yet to uncover.

The midfielder has had any form of contract extension with the French club terminated, meaning he will be leaving the club at most, when his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Rabiot has been a transfer prospect for the likes Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus who all see the midfielder as a possible major addition to the team.

Rabiot will now have to make the difficult choice on when to leave, how he leaves and who he eventually joins.

Isco Alarcon
Spanish playmaker Isco Alarcon and Real Madrid manager Santiago Solaris has been one major topic in La Liga since the manager took charge at the club.

Isco has seen his place in the first team stripped from him and playing time limited.

The playmaker claims he is happy at the club and will not consider moving in the January transfer window, but reports claim Isco may see himself out the door with European clubs set to battle for his signature in the winter window.

James Rodriguez
From the Ligue 1, to the Spanish La Liga, the Bundesliga and now rumours linking him with a switch to the Premier League. James Rodriguez is definitely having a tour to all top five leagues.

The midfielder moved from Real Madrid to Bayern Munich in search of playing time, but has seen himself drop once more in the pecking order since the start of the season.

Reports claims James Rodriguez could make a winter move to the Premier League with several clubs said to have tabled interests to Bayern Munich for the Columbian star.

Can Manchester United bounce back from City disgrace ?

The last time Manchester United played in the Premier League, it was against rivals Manchester City and it definitely didn’t end on a good note for the Red side of Manchester who were literally schooled at the Etihad in a fixture which ended 3-1.

Manchester United stats after 12 matches in the Premier League is nothing other than bemusing. The red devils have lost 4 times, drawn twice and have only seen 6 wins. United have scored 20 times while also conceeding 21, meaning Jose Mourinho team are at a negative in goal difference.

Hopefully, the international break has a good effect on the United team who face 16th placed Crystal palace at old Trafford on Nov 24th.

Man Utd are in a race to finish in the first four as the red devils currently trail table leaders Man City by 12 points in just 12 games. Jose would be hoping Anthony Martial remains in red hot form as they continue their tedious journey as predicted by the Portuguese months ago.

Can Watford inflict first league loss on Liverpool ?

Liverpool are one of the only three sides to remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season, with 3 draws and 9 wins. The Merseyside reds are only short of first place by two points and would be looking to continue keeping tabs on league leaders Man City.

Despite Jurgen Klopp’s impressive start of the new season, the German has had a cause for concern as Liverpool had looked a little less convincing in attack depsite beating Fulhman by two goals in their last Premier League fixture.

Watford welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side in Premier League Matchday 13 as the hornets look to return to winning ways after a loss to Newcastle and then a draw against Southampton in Gameweek 12.

Watford sit 7th on the league table equal on points with under performing Manchester United but with a better goal difference of three.

The black and gold outfits have already made a major statement this season, when they came from behind to beat Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur and would now have a chance to better the records should they inflict on Liverpool their first loss of the Premier League.

Who could stop Manchester City taking all three

It’s Former meets Present, when Manchester City go head to head with previous manager Manuel Pellegrini and his Westham side in the weekend.

Manuel Pellegrini had it rough at the start of the season, going several games without a single point with the manager coming under pressure. Westham has however found little consistency with 3 wins, 3 draws, 6 defeats and currently sitting 13th place on the table.

Westham may have found consistency, but what good will it do when the hammers face the citizens in the weekend.

Manchester City are currently leading the premier league table on 32 points. Two better than second placed Liverpool and are now looking untouchable in the Premier having already battered Jose Mourinho’s United last time.

Beating Manchester city would most definitely rewrite the Premier League season, but the hammers are at a total disadvantage when they welcome the reigning Premier League champions.

Will Tottenham be the first, or just of many to try when they face Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri has definitely added to his Fame as Chelsea has so far seen a remarkable change in the Premier League since he was signed in the summer.

Since joining the Premier League, Maurizio Sarri has never known the feeling of losing at any time. Only coming closest when Anthony Martial nearly won it for Man United.

Chelsea have so far progressed under the famous Sarri-ball technique, while Tottenham Hotspur have only continued to survive under Pochettino after a non existent summer transfer.

Despite struggling to maintain fitness and results, Tottenham are not far behind as they trail the London blues by only a single point on 27 and 28 respectively. Meaning a win for the white Lily’s would not only tear down the walls built by Sarri but also over take the London blues in the Premier League table.

Chelsea however have proved they are to be feared, after sending Liverpool packing in the league cup and almost coming close to beating the Merseyside reds again in the Premier League.

The international break seems to have come at the right time for the Argentine who has only seen several of his key players return from injury and probably 100 percent ready to face Chelsea in the weekend.

AFC Bournemouth look to challenge Unai Emery’s Arsenal

AFCBournemouth look to test the resilience of Unai Emery’s Arsenal, when they welcome the north london club in matchday 13.

Arsenal are currently 5th on the League table with Bournemouth not far behind on 6th and trailing by four points. Despite a win not enough to guarantee 4th for the hosts, Unai Emery should be expecting a huge challenge when they face their weekend opponents.

Bournemouth aren’t Liverpool or city, but the hosts have done enough to earn themselves a place in the top 6 on the Premier League table with 6 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses as compared to their opponents who have seen 7 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats.

However, in the past two games, both clubs have been off the play with Arsenal recording two draws and Bournemouth two defeats. Both clubs will be looking to return to winning ways when they face each other in the Premier League’s weekend fixture.

Sports / Chelsea 100 Percent Record Halted By Westham by Alexcharlz(m): 4:43pm On Sep 23, 2018
Chelsea finally gave up their 100 percent start to the season under Maurizio sarri when they travelled to the London Stadium to face Manuel Pellegrini’s Westham United.

After five premier League game without a single loss or draw, the London blue outfits dropped two valuable points against Westham on Sunday as chelsea Talisman Eden Hazard was stifled out of the game.

Manuel Pellegrini seems to have Westham on the right path with a point against Chelsea just after their first premier league win last time.

Westham created the better chances and must have felt hard done as they missed out on several opportunities with ruthless striker Marko Arnautovic absent with a knee injury.

The draw sees chelsea drop to third place with Manchester city on second with a superior goal difference and Liverpool top and still the only team on a 100 percent run in the Premier League this season.

“West Ham were a very good team but we could have done better in the last 25 minutes of the first half. Generally we played well in the second half and as it is impossible to win every game, a point is okay.” Sarri said

“we must now play against a very good team in Liverpool who are a step ahead of us having worked with their manager longer.”

“It may be a spectacular but difficult match at the weekend.”

On the other hand, a point against the London blues was enough to ensure Westham do not return to the relegation zone as they sit 17th place just above relegation on four points.

What’s next ?
Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri travel to Anfield on Wednesday to face Liverpool in the carabao cup before welcoming the Merseyside reds to Stamford bridge on Saturday. Westham and pellegrini face Macclesfield in the cup before traveling to old Trafford on Saturday to face Manchester United.

The premier league returns with some great things to look out for after the mid-week champions league and Europa league Fixtures.

Liverpool and chelsea continued their 100 percent run as they both saw wins in the mid-week against psg and PAOK Thessaloniki.

Manchester United’s return to form continues as they dispatched champions league opponents young boys (0-3) and so did Arsenal to Voskla (4-2).

Manchester city however fell to a bitter defeat at the hands of Lyon while Tottenham Hotspur could make it four from four with a weekend loss.

Watford look to pick up from Manchester united loss
After a four game winning run at the start of the season, the Watford wall came crumbling as they were eventually humbled by Manchester United in a fixture which ended ( 1-2 ) to United’s advantage.

The hornets have done a really good work so far this season and as a reward have seen them stay 4th on the log after four wins including a stunning comeback against Tottenham Hotspur which saw the start of spurs streak of defeats.

After the loss to united however, Watford would be hoping to return to winning ways in the premier league this weekend when they travel away to face 15th placed Fulham.

Fulham haven’t had the best start of the season after facing Tottenham and Manchester city in two of their five games so far which ended in sour defeats and has seen them pick up only four points.

While Fulham seems rather less harmless to Watford with their current run in form, the fixture could prove tricky for the hornets with Fulham enjoying the comfort of home which saw them beat Burnley ( 4-2 ) earlier in the season. Make no mistake, as same could be coming Watford’s way.

Will Man united winning run continue ?
So far so good for Manchester united, as jose Mourinho finally seems to be putting the pieces back in its place at the club.

After a brace of defeats to Brighton and Tottenham, the red devils have followed up with a hat trick of wins against Burnley, Watford and Young boys in the champions league.

The weekend however sees Manchester United go against Wolverhampton who currently sit on 9th place just below the red devils on 8th.

Wolves certainly mean trouble for United after solely being responsible for Manchester city currently sitting third on the league table rather than top.

Jose Mourinho has a job to do to ensure the red devils do not fall prey as Manchester city did when they faced Wolverhampton. Paul Pogba seems to be in fine shape and that is a definite plus to the club.

Wolverhampton’s recent seen run which has seen them beat Westham and Burnley is definitely a disturbing sight for Manchester united at the moment and are bound to cause problems for the shaky united defence.

Will Manchester United fall prey too ?

How far does City loss go ?
Manchester city and Pep Guardiola dined with defeat at the hands Lyon at the Etihad in the mid-week champions league fixture with the manager in the stands.

Manchester city fell to a 2-1 defeat with former Manchester united man Memphis Depay responsible for both assists.

Could Manchester city’s loss be the first of many ? That we will find out soon.

The Manchester blues travel to 17th placed Cardiff city for this weekend’s fixture and Pep Guardiola will be looking to ensure city return to winning ways with a resounding victory.

A little harsh though for Cardiff city whose fixture against City would be the third in a row against a top six side after facing and losing to Arsenal (2-3) and chelsea (4-1) already in the past two premier league Fixtures.

Can they pull off an extraordinary win against Manchester city ?

Liverpool run of perfect form to continue
Liverpool’s 100 perfect run continues as the Merseyside red face Southampton in the weekend.

Hughes definitely has a big job to do when the saints travel to Anfield this weekend as Southampton have their personal problems. The saints have failed to come up with the confidence to finish up a game despite been in control.

At Anfield however, there will be no control against the Merseyside reds, and it would be interesting to see how Southampton attempts to deal with the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah over the weekend.

Are Tottenham Hotspur done for ?
Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur fell to a third defeat in three straight matches when inter completed yet another comeback against the white Lily’s.

The loss has raised a few questions including how the lack of summer transfer has all but weakened the squad and left Pochettino at the mercy of luck.

This weekend, spurs would be hoping to return to winning ways in the premier league when they travel to face Brighton.

Since beating Man United, Brighton have known no win as they fell to Liverpool (1-2) before draws against Fulham and Southampton.

Pochettino would be hoping Harry Kane could start kicking again against Brighton as the Argentine hopes to return spurs to winning ways.

Sunday features a couple of great games too as Westham welcome chelsea just after their first big win of the season and Arsenal host Everton in two of the only Sunday fixtures in the premier league this weekend.

Sports / Poch Meets Pressure As Big Weekend Approaches by Alexcharlz(m): 5:51am On Sep 21, 2018
Tottenham Hotspur fell to yet another defeat at the hands of inter Milan in the mid-week champions league fixture despite going a goal up through a Christian Erikson strike.

Spurs lost to Watford weeks back before falling to another at the hands of Liverpool and yet another at Italy, leaving Pochettino frustrated.

On any other occasion, the weekend would be regarded as walk over for the white Lily’s but with the current bad run, it’s definitely a big weekend for Tottenham.

Seems misfortune has met the manager and the club after series of injuries to several key players and for a lack of summer transfer few to convincingly replace them in the matchday squad.

Dele Alli remains out with a Hamstring injury while Captain Hugo Lloris who shamed his good name when convicted of drink-driving last week, has had no positive effect on the team.

Harry Kane on the other hand has been urged by the manager to rediscover his goal scoring form as the team looks to pull out of the stench of defeat.

‘Harry Kane is one of the best players we have and that is not in doubt,’ said Pochettino. ‘After three games is not too much it is three games where he didn’t score.

‘All strikers suffer a period where they don’t score. But of course, because Harry Kane is so important for us and if he doesn’t score we struggle a little bit to win.

‘I don’t have doubt that he is going to perform better in the future and score goals because he is a great player.’

Credits though goes to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho who seems to have carefully orchestrated and laid down the plan to put poch in such pressure.

After a 0-3 defeat to spurs at old Trafford, Jose Mourinho came under immense pressure from the media and the manager did well to return the favour as spurs hit one defeat after another before meeting inter.

“Tottenham have had two straight losses. If the treatment is fair and equal, we will be left alone and now others can be annoyed.” he [jose Mourinho] said

Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur will be all out for a win when they travel for their weekend fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion as another loss would all but ruin it for Spurs.

Brighton on the other hand would be more than happy to pile the pressure after already beating Manchester United earlier in the season.

Sports / Juventus, Utd & Madrid Win, Cr7 Sees Red, City Lose To Lyon – Champions League W by Alexcharlz(m): 7:08am On Sep 20, 2018
The champions league Wednesday matchup was a delight as the teams scrambled up against each other looking for a much solicited win.

Among the big wins included Manchester United's (0-3) against the young boys at Switzerland. Juventus, Real Madrid, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Lyon also picked up a much deserved win from their respective fixtures.

Bad news however for Manchester city and Cristiano Ronaldo. The latter was sent off for allegedly pulling a defender's hair as early as the 29th minute, while the former [ man city ] lost to Lyon at Etihad in their first champions league fixture of the season.

Champions League Wednesday fixture results

Ajax 3-0 AEK

Shaktar Donetsk 2-2 Hoffenheim

Real Madrid 3-0 Roma

Valencia 0-2 Juventus

Benfica 0-2 Bayern Munich

Plzen 2-2 CSKA Moscow

Man city 1-2 Lyon

Young boys 0-3 Man united

How Far fetched were Manchester city from last season's dominance as Lyon walked past them at the Etihad
Manchester city lost to Lyon in their first champions league game and that is definitely not a good result for pep Guardiola and the last season premier league champions.

Guardiola watched from the stands as city set a new unwanted record as they became the first English team to lose four champions league matches. A loss against Basel last season followed by two-legged losses to Liverpool and then this ?

Goals from Maxwel Cornet and Nabil Fekir sunk Pep Guardiola's men with former man utd striker Memphis Depay popping up both times for the assist despite Bernado Silva pulling one back in the 2-1 defeat for city.

Pep Guardiola cut a miserable figure, frustrated that he could do next to nothing and was seen consoling his devastated daughter at the end of the fixture.

The home defeat puts city in a tough position and could see them finish as the group runner-up with hopefully easier games against Hoffenheim and shaktar Donetsk. But first the last season terminators would have to pick themselves up for the weekend game against cardiff City on Saturday.

Manchester United go top after (0-3) win against the young boys
Jose Guardiola named a changed side for the game against young boys at Switzerland. The lineup included Luke Shaw who returned from a concussion during the international break. Diogo Dalot was handed his debut while Martial, Rashford and Fred were also included for the game.

Despite playing on an artificial pitch, Man utd ensured their was no room for a second bite as they wrapped up the game with two goals from Paul Pogba and a third from Anthony Martial.

Paul Pogba put up an impressive performance despite taking a while to adjust to the game. The french man set the ball in place before letting lose a stunner into the corner. Moments later and it was two through a penalty before Anthony Martial sealed it for the red devils with a deflected goal.

Despite a comfortable night out, jose Mourinho was quite concerned about the pitch as he revealed it could lead to major injuries to players.
'Now I can say, I don’t understand how you can play the best club competition on artificial pitch,’ he said.
'You know, probably some fear injuries. I had some players after training yesterday – light training – and they were feeling ankles, back pains, sore.
‘It’s not easy, especially not for people who are adapted to it. Also a little bit of a fear in the duels, people are used to great surfaces in England, always watered if not rain – the clubs they provide the water and the football is much more beautiful that way.’

Juventus Win at Valencia as Cristiano Ronaldo sees red
It was a night of mixed feelings for the juventus fans who saw their team pick up a much needed three points against Spanish side Valencia but also saw their summer signing Cristiano send off for allegedly pulling a defender's hair.

Two penalties from Miralem Pjanic gave the Italian giants a 2-0 win in Valencia, but the Champions League's all-time leading goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo with 120 goals was dismissed just 29 minutes into the game following an off-the-ball incident.

Cristiano Ronaldo's red card could see him miss at least a match but at worst miss the two-legged tie against Manchester United and that has left Massimiliano Allegri who believes VAR could have saved the day devastated.

‘Today the guys played really well, up until the red card we had many balls played towards goal, then we deservedly went ahead and after being up 2-0, as is normal, we gave up some opportunities,’

‘But when we needed to play, we played, when we needed to defend, we did well.'

‘The red card? I can only say that VAR would have helped the referee with his decision, because to remain a man down from the 29th minute, in a Champions League match, for a doubtful episode is displeasing.'

'We hope we only lose Cristiano for as little as possible, but certainly VAR would have helped.’

Real Madrid see of Roma with new no 7 scoring a screamer
Real Madrid were off to a flying start as they hope to defend the prestigious trophy for a record third time under Julen Lopetegui.

Goals from Isco Alarcon, Gareth Bale and a screamer from new no 7 M. Diaz set the Champions on their way to victory.

Isco scored a wonderful free kick, Gareth bale showed great athleticism to score a second and M. Diaz showed great strength in the third. However, it was a piece of daunting skill from Marco Asensio which left the stadium buzzing and had the Spanish boy scored it would have been one in a million.

Marco Asensio left the Roma defense rooted to the spot with a brilliant piece of skill before attempting a no look pass which was eventually saved by the goal keeper.

There were also wins for several other clubs including Bayern Munich and Ajax while Shaktar Donetsk and Hoffenheim, Plzen and CSKA Moscow could only manage a 2-2 draw.

Sports / Will We Ever See Last Season's Mohammed Salah Again ? by Alexcharlz(m): 8:24am On Sep 19, 2018
With Mohammed salah’s rather poor start to the season, do you think the Egyptian prodigy can attain the heights he did last season ?
A much frustrated Mohammed Salah was seen throwing the water bottle as team-mate Roberto Firmino came to the rescue for Liverpool against Psg at Anfield.

The last season’s epl best player was rather off in Liverpool’s first champions league game and in some way other league games this season as he gifted Psg the ball, which eventually led to a second goal by Kylian Mbappe in the 83th minute.

With several lack lustre performances from Mohammed salah so far this season, questions have been raised over the Egyptian on whether he could replicate the sort of performance which saw Liverpool finish as champions league runner-up last season.

Despite only returning to the premier league, Mohammed salah was at least a goal better at the same time last season with three goals from five games, and fans were expecting more and better believing the striker is now well accustomed to the league.

Will we ever see the same Mohammed salah like we did last season ? The darting runs, the feints, the dribbles, the shots, the curls, they all seem to be gone. Was the Egyptian prodigy a one season wonder as feared ?

Out of form, yes ! One season wonder ? No, that I find hard to believe just yet as the season is still a long way from the end.

In a recent interview, Mohammed salah had revealed a pre match ritual by the three superb forward of Sadio mane, Firmino and Himself to keep the three bonded and firing before every fixture.

He also went on to rubbish talks Sadio Mane was selfish and that he is in any way bothered with the fact the striker is seemingly over him this season with four goals in all competition, three for Roberto Firmino and two for himself.

His reaction on Tuesday however seems to prove otherwise with the pressure now getting to the Egyptian. Should he have accepted the big money move to Real Madrid or Barcelona during the summer ?

Well, that is a question only Mohammed Salah himself can answer.

“We are in Switzerland, the home of one of the best ever tennis players, and I’m pretty sure that the big man sometimes is not happy to play on such a surface – but he has to play and has to win.

“He has a favourite surface but he has to win on the surfaces he is not in love with. We have to do it.”

The champions league Wednesday fixtures promise loads of action and possibly goals and that’s what we like most about the prestigious tournament.

Sports / Man United News : The Old Trafford Turf War Continues by Alexcharlz(m): 6:22am On Sep 07, 2018
Manchester United seem to always have a way to keep you wondering what comes next week after week and despite the international break the red devils seem to never stay down.

Just when we thought everything was returning to normal after the red devils beat Burnley (2-0) comfortably just before the break. Positives from the fixtures got us thinking things were being set straight and yet again there were shots fired and contracts halted.

Anthony Martial Halts contract
Anthony Martial has only a year left in his current contract and has reportedly halted talks with united over a new lucrative deal due to his strained relationship with Jose Mourinho and a lack of playing time.

The French player is one of the darling boys of Ed woodward and is seen as a future focal point at the club. Reports earlier claimed the forward was set to sign a deal with a view he would outstay Jose Mourinho at the club but that may not be the case anymore. The Portuguese coach seem to taking a new approach which has so far been working, he may not be sacked anyway and Martial is scared if he stays then that means less playing time for himself.

Anthony Martial has reportedly taken a step back in terms of signing a new contract until his future on the pitch is sorted out. Mourinho has only used Martial once this season and hauled him off during a 3-2 defeat to Brighton, and his lack of playing time has left him concerned over his future.

Still No attitude adjustment from Paul Pogba as January transfer loams for the French Man
Paul Pogba's strained relationship with manager jose seems to be hitting the strides of recent. The midfielder was wanted by Spanish champions Barcelona and is still been wanted and it seems a deal could happen as early as January.

The midfielder in an interview pledged loyalty to Manchester united but only for the moment. "But who knows what will happen in the next few months" Paul said.
"My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months."
‘One thing I can assure you: I will always give 100 percent, no matter which coach I always give everything for United – I cannot say more."
In recent weeks several Barcelona players in Pique, Luis Suarez and few others have fueled talks about signing the midfielder by saying he is always welcome at the club.

Fans are almost growing tired of the £89m man and it's seems more likely he will be leaving. "Paul Pogba seems not be playing for man united anymore"- Louis Rome Pectov said.

A new candidate emerges for the Manchester united job
Manchester United have kept their fate in jose Mourinho but that doesn't mean they aren't thinking about the future just incase.

According to MetroNews, Manchester united fans have begged under fire Ed woodward to sack Jose Mourinho and hire Ryan Giggs after Wales thrashing of Ireland. Wales’ performance certainly made people sit up and take notice.
And Manchester United fans expressed their desire for Giggs to come back to Old Trafford and replace Jose Mourinho. - Metro sports reporter.

Champions league winner Zinedine Zidane is also said to be a candidate for the position, if and when Jose Mourinho leaves the old Trafford realm, which may of may never happen anything time soon.
What Next ?
Manchester united return from the international break to face third placed Watford who came from a goal down to beat a Tottenham Hotspur side that beat United (3-0) just a week before. Jose Mourinho would be hoping to win as a statement of his intent to stay and succeed at the club.

After Watford, comes United's first champions league fixture against the Young Boys and then Wolverhampton on the 22nd, Derby county (FLC third round) on the 25th and finally Westham on the 29th to conclude their September fixtures.

Sports / Liverpool Take All Three Points Despite Becker Allison's Second Half Blunder by Alexcharlz(m): 3:09pm On Sep 01, 2018
Leicester city welcomed league leaders Liverpool to the king power stadium on Saturday noon. The foxes were without star striker Jamie Vardy who misses out on suspension as they went into battle against Jurgen klopp’s Liverpool who were yet to concede a single goal in three matches so far this season

Leicester city vs Liverpool Lineup

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson; James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

LEICESTER CITY (4-5-1): Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Ben Chilwell, Harry Maguire, Wes Morgan; James Maddison, Nampalys Mendy, Rachid Ghezzal, Marc Albrighton, Wilfred Ndidi; Demarai Gray.

Liverpool needed next to no introduction as they let loose the trio of Firmino , salah and Sadio mane against the foxes. Firmino was the first to get in on the act as the Brazilian sent a direct shot to Schmeichel who beat the ball to Mohammed salah’s path, only for the last season’s best player to miss a sitter in the opening minutes.

Liverpool however needed just 10′ minutes to hit the ground running through Sadio Mane after been found by a superb Andrew Robertson.

Leicester city soon grew into the game as they began causing all sort of problem for the league leaders, with Maddison sending a flyer towards goal. The foxes had quite a few chances majorly from distance to draw the game level but couldn’t help but fall to yet another goal. This time it was an unmarked Roberto Firmino who found the net from a James Milner corner minutes before the end of the first half.

Leicester city 1-2 Liverpool : The reds take all three despite Becker Allison's blunder
Liverpool were however nullified by a rather fired up foxes in the second half. New signing Becker Allison was found guilty as he ended his very own three games clean sheet run. The goal keeper came out to the right edge of his box to deal with a poor back-pass from Van Dijk, only to lose possesion to iheanacho who sliped a pass back to the middle of the box for Ghezzal to bundle in his first league goal for the club.

Leicester city threw all they had at the Merseyside reds but couldn’t find another to steal a point from the game.

The win sees Liverpool keep their spot at the top of the league table with Spurs, chelsea and Watford yet to play for the weekend. Jurgen will be happy his team made it four wins from four but would caution the new goal keeper whose overflow of confidence had him at a disadvantage against a resilient Leicester city team

Sports / Premier League Matchday - 6 Things To Look Out For by Alexcharlz(m): 7:30am On Aug 31, 2018
Wow, is it weekend already ?

Well another premier league matchday is here and every team would be hoping to get all three points where possible. Liverpool remain top of the table by virtue of a better goal difference. Tottenham Hotspur, chelsea and Watford make up the top four while Manchester city are fifth after dropping two valuable points away to Wolverhampton last weekend. Here are this weekend’s fixtures and what you need to keep an eye out for.

Premier League Matchday 4 fixture list

Leicester city vs Liverpool sat/12:30pm
Crystal palace vs Southampton sat/3:00pm
Everton vs Huddersfield sat/3:00pm
Brighton vs Fulham sat/3:00pm
Chelsea vs Bournemouth sat/3:00pm
Westham vs Wolverhampton sat/3:00pm
Manchester city vs Newcastle sat/5:30pm
Cardiff city vs Arsenal sun/1:30pm
Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur sun/4:00pm
Burnley vs Manchester united sun/4:00pm

Can Leicester rightly play villian against Liverpool ?

After victories against Westham, crystal palace and Brighton, Saturday poses Liverpool’s biggest test yet when they travel to the king power to face Leicester city. Unfortunately for Leicester, there will be no Jamie Vardy as the English striker will sit this one out based on suspension. Kelechi iheanacho is expected to fill in for the suspended striker when they welcome Liverpool at noon on Saturday. While Leicester will most definitely miss the strength and speed of the resilient Jamie Vardy, they would be hoping iheanacho could put up a big performance if they are to have any chance of penetrating the impregnable wall of Virgil van dijk and Jose Gomez who have seen liverpool yet to concede a single goal this season.

Bournemouth could mean trouble for Maurizio sarri’s Chelsea

Chelsea welcome Bournemouth at Stamford bridge this weekend and while the London blues may have the home comfort, they face a Bournemouth side who sit sixth, just two points away from them after the first three fixtures. Bournemouth saw off Cardiff city and Westham in their first two matches of the season and produced a stunning comeback from two goals down to deny Everton all three points last weekend. Maurizio Sarri would do well to be weary of this side when they welcome them on Saturday at lunch time to the Stamford bridge.

Can wolves condemn Westham to yet another defeat ?

After stealing a point against reigning premier league champions ‘Manchester city’ in the weekend, Wolverhampton travel away to Westham for this week’s encounter. Westham are yet to pick up a single point so far this season after suffering defeats to Liverpool, Bournemouth and Arsenal. While the hammers would be looking to pick their first points when they welcome wolves at home, the visitors would be brimming with confidence after executing a well detailed plan to near perfection against City last time.

Defence Vs possession at the Etihad

Newcastle’s manager Rafa Benitez left the football world surprised with a rather strange approach against Chelsea last weekend. The manager may have received a lot of criticism for his idea, it however doesn’t take away the fact it almost worked owing to the fact chelsea needed a bit of luck in a deflected goal to take all three points last week. It’s difficult to imagine Benitez will change his approach when they visit Manchester city at the Etihad this weekend. While It’s yet to be seen if the Rafa’s approach will earn him a point at Etihad this weekend, Wolves made sure to prove last time out that the reigning champions are human after all.

It’s two against four when Watford welcome spurs

Sunday features a rather exciting fixture when fourth placed Watford welcome second placed Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. Tottenham may have brought the walls down when they beat united at old Trafford on Monday but it would matter little to Watford who seem fired up for the season. Watford have beaten Brighton, Burnley and crystal palace to find themselves fourth on the log and Mauricio Pochettino would be wary of the brilliant argentine ‘Roberto Pereyra’ who has so far scored three in Watford’s first two home games. Pochettino would however be hoping Lucas Moura could continue his goal run when they visit Watford on Sunday.

Burnley vs Manchester united – piling up the misery

After falling to his greatest defeat, Jose Mourinho would be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they travel away to Burnley this Sunday. While United’s loss and defensive shambles seemingly overshadowed the fact united seemed to have played one their best attacking football in ages, it remains to be seen what approach the manager will take this time against Burnley who currently sit eighteenth on the log after only taking a single point in three games so far. It’s a must win game for jose mourinho, and whether Sean Dyche could take advantage of United’s defensive woes to plant yet another defeat we will find out on Sunday.

Team News

In an interview, Manchester united manager revealed the medical department are almost free with the likes of Nemanja Matic, Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot all training with the team.
“Dalot is also training with the team for the first time this week, so in terms of the medical department, they are almost free.” Jose said

On the other hand Mauricio Pochettino strongly believes they can come to old Trafford and take all three points and who would blame him after a look at a much stinted man united.

Pochettino is expected to be without victor wanyama who has a troubled knee, victor janssen who has a minor foot injury and Son heung-min who is also out as he takes part in the Asian games.

The manager insists he is working as if all players will still be here after being questioned about transfer targets Danny rose and Toby alderweireld.

The fixture is a must win for jose mourinho who is in a battle to return the team to form. It definitely won’t be an easy one facing Tottenham Hotspur but the red devils have the advantage of Home which obviously is no hunting ground for neither Mauricio Pochettino nor Harry kane.

Sports / The Arsenal Mesut Ozil Nightmare by Alexcharlz(m): 10:03pm On Aug 23, 2018

Life under new manager 'Unai Emery' hasn't really gone as expected for Mesut ozil, with the midfielder coming under serious criticism in recent days
After Last weekend's Chelsea-Arsenal fixture, Espn's Craig Burley had correctly labelled Mesut Ozil a £300k a week nightmare inheritance to Unai Emery at Arsenal.

The German player who retired early after the world cup woes has come under the Lim light again for his playing style after Arsenal finished their second premier league fixture without a single point and currently sitting just above the relegation zone.

Unai Emery remains hooked on his decision not to feature a two man forward yet, meaning he is expected to still continue with a 4-2-3-1 formation in order to carter for more possession, a possession that always seems wasted at the sour feet of Mesut Ozil in recent days.

The German has grown weak in his game and Arsenal won't last long having such a lazy midfielder roaming the field on matchdays.

"You are a man down without the ball, and when you have the ball he[Mesut] doesn't do enough."

"Play him[Mesut] left, play him[Mesut] right he doesn't track back. Play him in the middle and he doesn't go pressing the deep lying midfield." said craig

Mesut Ozil will have to step up to the chase soon or face been taken off the season plans by Unai Emery who despite not been under pressure after just two games would be reeling to celebrate his first win as an Arsenal coach.

The North Londoners face Westham in their next fixture of the season. Now the players can attempt to carry out the managers instructions to the very last after very rough matches against City and Chelsea in their last games.

Sports / Will Jose Hand Paul Pogba The Captain Band Against Brighton ? by Alexcharlz(m): 7:30am On Aug 17, 2018
If Paul pogba’s aim after the Leicester city match was to make himself the center of attraction for the rest of the week, then I would give him a 100 percent for doing a wonderful job. If not, then he’s got a lot of explanation to do.

The midfielder started Manchester United’s first game of the season after just returning to training three days before from the world cup break. Manchester united went on to win the fixture 2-1 with the midfielder earning himself a man of the match performance and a rare praise from the manager Jose Mourinho.

What followed after that was however a disappointment as the midfielder sent the media ablaze with rather disrespectful comments to the both manager and club according to Pundits and analysts over the course of the week.
‘there are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined’. Paul pogba said to the Media.

These comments have left the football world buzzing with speculations over the week with one of the prominent one by Paul Ince reported at Metro.

“He captained United in their opening game of the season against Leicester, played brilliantly, and then came out with those quotes afterwards. I really can’t understand why he’d do that other than to get attention and set tongues wagging.” Paul Ince said in one of his comments.

Will Jose hand Paul Pogba the Captain band against Brighton ?
Reports claim the manager has finally sorted things out with the midfielder despite telling him to hand a transfer request if he wanted out. If jose was ever offended by those comments then it’s hard to believe owing to the fact the history with Mourinho has never preached him as a manager easy to forget such less complacent attitudes.

Brighton & Hove Albion host Manchester united in their second game of the season and fans can’t help but wonder if jose mourinho would be kind enough to let Paul Pogba hold on to the captain’s arm band after his comments last week.

Sports / Real Madrid 2-4 Atletico Madrid | Super Cup by Alexcharlz(m): 10:54pm On Aug 15, 2018
Life for Real Madrid post Cristiano ronaldo didn’t start as they expected as the madrid whites went one goal down to Neighbours Atletico Madrid in just 49 minutes after Diego Costa scored to record the fastest goal in the competition.

Real Madrid IX vs Atletico Madrid IX

Real Madrid IX: Keylor; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kroos; Bale, Isco, Asensio; Benzema.

Atlético Madrid XI: Oblak; Juanfran, Savic, Godín, Lucas Hernández; Koke, Rodri, Saúl, Lemar; Diego Costa, Griezmann.

Real Madrid title defence endured a difficult start as Godin’s long ball found Diego Costa in just 49 seconds who beat Sergio Ramos, chases his own header and rifled the ball past Navas from a tight angle on the right.

Atletico Madrid remained a constant threat to Real as they kept pouncing on every mistake made by the Champions league winners with Marcelo Real’s biggest threat.

It took Real Madrid just about 27 minutes to finally get level in the game as Karim Benzema headed home from a weak foot cross from Welshman Gareth Bale.

Marco Asensio almost gave his team the lead just two-minute later as the young Spaniard sent a dangerous curler creeping wide with Jan Oblak well beaten.

The first half ended with real Madrid successfully finding their way back into the game after early upset by Diego Costa. The champions league winners were however the first to strike in the second half as they took the lead in the 63rd minute from a Sergio Ramos penalty after Juanfran was judged to have handled the ball in the box.

Real Madrid could only hold the lead for 16 minutes as Diego Costa put atletico back in the game. Marcelo bizarrely kept the ball in for Juanfran on the flank, allowing the full-back to pick out Correa, who in turn squares to Costa for the finish.
Full Time Real Madrid 2-2 Atletico Madrid as the game went into extra time.

Extra Time :

Real Madrid kicked off the extra time on the front foot with as many as 703 passes as compared to 527 by their opponent and yet fell to a Saul Niguez goal in the 98th minute as the midfielder’s left foot volley from the edge of the area left Keylor Navas with no chance.

Three soon became four as Koke got in on the action, a left footed strike from vitolo’s lofted pass went beyond Keylor Navas as they further added to Real Madrid’s misery.

Madrid almost got one back but Luka Modric could only find the safe hands so Jan Oblak as they continue to wriggle for a way back.

The champions league couldn’t help but fall to their first trophy final defeat in their first match without cristiano ronaldo as the fixture ended Real Madrid 2-4 Atletico Madrid with the noisy Neighbours taking the trophy home this time.

Time to return to the drawing board for new manager julen lopetegui with no Cristiano ronaldo to the rescue this time.

Sports / Why Zinedine Zidane May Never Succeed At Manchester United by Alexcharlz(m): 12:47pm On Aug 15, 2018
With fans growing in desperation to see the special one [jose mourinho] leave old Trafford due to his unattractive style of play, the rumours have been growing of former Real Madrid coach Zinedine zidane taking over at the club.

Zidane quit his role at Real Madrid after nearly three years of absolute success winning three champions league trophies in a row, including a league trophy, super cups and a host of them. That most definitely makes him the most successful coach of the modern. But can he do the same as a Manchester united manager ?

Why Zinedine zidane may not succeed at Manchester united

One thing is to manage a well structured Real Madrid team and another is to manage a rather less complacent Manchester united team.

Unlike at Manchester united and the Glazer’s family, The Perez figure at Real Madrid is both father, President, agent, director and disciplinarian meaning less complacent attitudes as seen by Anthony Martial, Paul pogba, Marouane Fellaini and a few others at united would be less tolerated at the Santiago Bernabau.

Other than calibre of players available to the manager at Real Madrid, the transfer is another major doubt at Manchester united. Ed woodward and the Glazer’s family have been seemingly interested in more revenue than investing in the club meaning the manager would have to make do like jose is doing at the moment.

Manchester united have bigger problems than jose mourinho, something signing Zidane nor Pep Guardiola can’t fix at the club.

A manager needs resources to work and at United it’s either lacking or non-existent and no manager can succeed in such conditions.

While the prospect of signing a three-time champions league winner in Zinedine zidane is nothing short of exciting, big doubts remain on whether is a step forward from jose mourinho with the current situation at the club or a decline.

Sports / Man Utd Fan Favourite Juan Mata To Leave For Free To Valencia Next Summer by Alexcharlz(m): 8:07am On Aug 15, 2018
Juan Mata enjoyed a wonderful season at Valencia scoring 47 goals in 176 games before moving to chelsea in 2011 and then Manchester united in 2013 and has so far scoring 39 goals in 187 appearances for the club.

The 30-year-old midfielder has just one more year left in his contract with Manchester united, and is likely to run down his contract with reports his boyhood club Valencia are interested in bringing him back but only on free transfer as the Spanish club can not afford paying the midfielder anything close to his £130k weekly salary if they should have to spend the cash to sign him.

However the midfielder has never been in the game for the money and the football world knows that too well.

While Juan Mata leaving could free up a slot for united to sign a new player after claims the board had refused to sign for Jose if he fails to offload , the united faithfuls will most definitely miss the dynamic style of play the midfielder brings to the club.

Manchester united have a whole year to either extend his contract or bid farewell to the noble player as a free agent by next summer.

Sports / Real Madrid Officially Begin Life Without Cristiano Ronaldo by Alexcharlz(m): 7:13am On Aug 15, 2018
Real Madrid are in for their first competitive fixture of the new campaign without talisman Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad list after the Portuguese striker completed a £99.2m move to juventus of Italy.

It’s been a rather mixed feelings for the Madrid faithfuls after the loss of the extraordinary talisman whom they have relied on for a near nine years of success.

The new manager and players are however confident losing Cristiano Ronaldo is nothing and would in no way hamper their performance for the season.

Sergio Ramos who have also been at war with jurgen klopp after the champions league finals incident with Mohammed salah had entailed the priority of the club over individuals saying,
‘No one is above Real Madrid, whatever happens Real Madrid will continue to live on and it was his choice to leave.’

‘The decisions are not mine to make, but the doors are always open to those that want to be part of Real Madrid.’

‘Losing Ronaldo was hard, but no player is above Real Madrid and we still have the hunger to improve and win more titles.’
‘The mindset we have is more important than any individuals in the team.’

Real Madrid take on Europa league winners Atletico Madrid in the super cup fixture after which they begin their la Liga season against Getafe at Santiago Bernabau in the weekend. How much they miss Ronaldo is something we will get to find out by then

Will Real Madrid miss Cristiano Ronaldo ?

Sports / Jurgen Klopp Vs Sergio Ramos - The Feud Continues by Alexcharlz(m): 8:12pm On Aug 14, 2018
Jurgen klopp and Sergio Ramos continue their war of words across continents over Mohammed salah’s champions league incident

It’s been months since the incident between Real Madrid veteran defender Sergio Ramos and Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah occurred and yet it seems so fresh with the defender and jurgen klopp still in a war of words across continents.

Jurgen klopp had refused to let the incident lie following an impressive return of the forward Mohammed salah who has already opened his account for the season.
“Of course I would have liked to become a Champions League winner, and I would not have returned the title if shown various indiscretions.
“I do not expect that from him, I only expect that he gives more thought to his assessment of certain situations.
“It may have been a coincidence, but Mo Salah was taken out of the game during an outstanding phase of his footballing life, in the middle of the field.
“Many people will say that these things happen. But if that is the message we are sending to our children, that nothing is out of bounds and it’s all about winning, then I will be glad to leave this planet in 40 years.
“Real Madrid have deserved to win the Champions League, nobody has ever said anything else. But do you have to have those situations with Ramos? No, you don’t.”
The defender who had replied about the allegations labelled against him saying the only thing missing was Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him has once again taken to the media to once again address the situation saying.

“It’s not the first final he’s lost, [maybe] he wants to use that as an excuse for losing. Some of us have been operating at a very high level for many years, not sure he can say the same.”

The two respectable figures have failed to let the situation lie as both are seemingly ready to keep the war of words on and is bound to escalate if not dealt with.

Sports / Getting Arsenal Back To Their Best, Easier Said Than Done by Alexcharlz(m): 6:43am On Aug 14, 2018
Life after arsene wenger at arsenal hasn’t been what fans hoped for in the new season as the Gunners and Unai Emery fell to a first day defeat at the hands Manchester city in the his debut match at the Emirates.

Next stop is Maurizio sarri and chelsea and doubts are already running high about the manager at the club. But truth is, rebuilding arsenal isn’t something than can be done overnight. What the heck were they thinking. Even the great Pep guardiola couldn’t get city up and running despite having less issues than Arsenal.

Getting arsenal back to their best and where they belong would take more just £70m transfer budget in change or a couple of new players and a new manager. Arsenal would have to stand by the manager and of course invest in the team and Gary Neville knew this too well.
‘He has to have four transfer windows to make this team his. It’s not Chelsea here, by the way,’ Neville told Sky Sports.
‘I don’t think this is short-term, the recruitment has been so bad there over this last three or four years. ‘It’s going to take basically two or three, four transfer windows to sort this out.

‘This is a great coach, Unai Emery, he needs three or four transfer windows.’

‘I don’t care who the coach would be – you could bring Pep Guardiola in here. ‘It took Pep Guardiola three transfer windows at City, the first one in the summer, the January and then the summer after. ‘Pep Guardiola, the greatest coach in the world with the biggest budget, it’s going to take him more than that.’

With the budget at the club, it’s presumed the time could be more. Pep guardiola needed three transfer windows despite having an abundance of resources. Compared to Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery has only but a buck of Change. £70m huh, that’s probably the amount city paid to get a single player in the last few seasons with most transfers at the club exceeding the £50m mark.

Arsenal should hope for anything but instant success after 22 years under arsene wenger, It’s definitely going to take a while to get the players to adapt to the new coach.
