Politics › Re: Obaseki Is An Ingrate, Ayiri Emami Blasts Chief Edwin Clark by Alexrayz(m): 9:49am On Aug 02, 2019 |
nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
Chief Ayiri Emami, the Ologbotsere (traditional Prime Minister) of Warri Kingdom on Friday urged elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark to stop interfering in the politics of Edo State saying he is shocked by the comments he made on the political crisis rocking the state.
It will be recalled that Clark had faulted the ultimatum the two chambers of the National Assembly to the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, to issue a fresh proclamation on the inauguration of the state House of Assembly or risk a take over of the Assembly.
He said the directive from the federal lawmakers was unconstitutional.
However speaking with journalists on Friday evening, Ayiri, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) described Clark’s statement as unfortunate.
Accusing the former Minister of Information of taking sides, Ayiri said Clark should have advised Obaseki to comply with the laws of the land rather than encouraging him to continue his illegality on the inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly.
” When I read what Chief Clark said, I felt very disappointed because he is an elder statesman and he should know the laws more than many of us”.
” In 2015 I recall that Chief Clark never supported Governor Obaseki so if Obaseki is trying to be very ungrateful to people that brought him to power, I think as a father, Chief Clark should have advised him better, not to cause chaos in Edo state because Edo and Delta are still the same”.
“I expected him to call Obaseki and advise him as a father but he did not do that, rather he took side immediately. Let me tell you, there is nothing about Edo state that we don’t know, the National Assembly has it as a duty to intervene in any state Assembly that has crisis”.
” So, for anybody to fault that move is unfortunate and that Is why I am shocked with the comment made by Chief EK Clark”.
“All of us knew how Obaseki became governor of Edo state, he was never a politician. It was Oshiomhole who made him governor against all odds. Oshiomhole offended many people loyal to him just because he wanted to make Obaseki governor”.
“So it is unfortunate that today, the governor sees himself as a thin god, exhibiting so much disrespect for the man that made him governor. That is ingratitude of the highest order and it is not good for him as a governor”.
“Even comedians are now using Obaseki to crack jokes, he has become a laughing stock in the eyes of the public and that is not good”.
“There is an adage in Itsekiri which says you must remember the good of yesterday. Whatever Obaseki is doing he must sleep and reflect the good time he had with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. A couple of times I had an opportunity to sit with Comrade and he kept telling me that ‘Ayiri, you know how I laboured to bring Obaseki so I cannot support pulling that house down’. So I don’t see Comrade fighting Obaseki but Obaseki is juts fighting himself”.
“It is unfortunate that the governor has allowed some politicians take advantage of this crisis so as to make money from him. They are hailing him and before he will realise what he is doing he is already in a big mess. So Chief EK Clark should concentrate on Delta state where he caused so much problem for people and leave Edo alone because he does not know how Obaseki became governor” he said. https://www.independent.ng/dont-interfere-in-edo-politics-ayiri-tells-edwin-clark/ Lol ayiri that suppose to be in prison for militancy is here talking trash this country is truly dead |

Car Talk › Re: Thomas Jones: Who Is The First Nigerian To Drive A Car? (PHOTO) by Alexrayz(m): 8:47pm On Jul 15, 2019 |
AutoJoshNG: There is no available record of the nationality of the first person to drive a car in Nigeria.
However, some sources offer an idea of who the first Nigerian to drive a car was.
According to some records, the first Nigerian to drive a car was a certain philanthropist known as Thomas Jones.
Thomas Jones – known famously as Tom Jones - was a wealthy Lagosian.
He is best known for donating the first public library to the government of Lagos, which was at the time known as the Lagos Colony.
The library opened in 1931, almost 20 years after Jones died.
The exact date that Tom Jones first drove the car is not recorded, though, it was believed to have occurred before 1913.
A popular street on Lagos Island, Lagos, was named after Tom Jones.

Crime › Re: Mob Nearly Burnt A Soldier In Lagos (Video) by Alexrayz(m): 2:28pm On Jul 15, 2019 |
GISpro: Lalasticlala come and see o.
To be factual, Nigerians have no regards for soldiers and I dislike it. Our military is our pride.
And these claims that soldier beat someone are usually one-sided stories.
Truth is too many Nigerians behave like zoo inmates. Unfortunately, soldiers have no chill for yeye behavior and that's why they get pissed off when people do stvpid acts to them.
Imagine a wheyrey onile man in Lagos sold the same land to five people. He tried it with a soldier and that one literally cooked his balls (as I heard). Who's to blame?
Soldiers don't look for trouble. It is civilians that should avoid crossing their lanes and learn to obey SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS.
Soldiers are the easiest people to live with; dey your dey, they dey their dey. If you must cross their lane then be ready to follow simple and clear instructions. Nigeria army with high rank are the most humble set of human u can across you will shout even slap them most time u see them smiling been a gentleman they very calm .....but guy wen u come across those with low rank those guys are pride drunk they animals u just try think of trying them they break ur head for even thinking of it nor just try the female military personnel that one even if it high rank or low one they go treat ur Bleep up the worst set are the young naval officials |

ikennaf1: They twist the words of the driver who said, that the killers had coverings on their head, and not that they were wearing masks.
They try to make it look like it was an assassination by beaming the focus on Mrs. Olakunrin, while mischeviously downplaying the fact that other road users were also abducted. And we all know who abducts road users regardless of financial background.
All these they do just to absolve the killers of guilt and condemnation.
Boko Haram has entered the south and they are here to stay... At least for a while.
This administration has, through its body language, actions and inactions ,made it possible so far. This administration dismissed the mercenaries that gave Boko Haram the biggest defeat that made elections in borno state a success. This administration dismantled road blocks, and propose cattle grazing routes, cattle settlements, and now Ruga settlements.
A governor pays a certain criminalities in order for them to keep peace.
Let's wake up.... Boko Haram or iswap is already here... While we fight each other, and try to absolve Criminals of their crime just so as not to upset our political calculations, They are making funds, they are making funds real big, and so far they have been successful.
When their real plans begin to hatch, a bomb in suleja will not ask if you voted for buhari, or if you said that those who voted for buhari should enjoy their dividends. When a bomb goes off in onitsha main market, it will not ask if you're an opposition to buhari or if you're a man from Minna who came to buy items in bulk to sell when he gets back to base. What will u gain by instigating violence |
