A baby girl in India is being worshipped as a Hindu god, after she was born with a trunk.

The girl, who has not yet been named, was born in a village in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, in northern India on Thursday.

People are now flocking to see the new-born infant as they believe she is an incarnation of the Hindu deity Ganesha, who also has a trunk.


Speaking to ANI, the baby’s aunty said that crowds had since arrived to make offerings to the child.
‘My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl at 7:00 a.m. and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha’, she said.

‘This is why whoever hears about her is coming here to get a glimpse of the baby and are making whatever offerings possible’.

The girl was born to Rambabu Sarvesh and his wife Banna Devi.

Mr Sarvesh, who is already a father to three children, earns 250 rupee ($5.17) a day, and hopes that his daughter’s birth will result in a change to the family’s fortunes, according to the Times of India.

Doctors have said that the girl’s deformity was most likely due to a gene mutation, as a result of malnutrition.

The last days to the election witnessed massive campaign exercises from Nigeria's popular twins with their uncommon population in Lagos.

Abuja based celebrity twins and artists two days ago spearheaded One million Twins and Multiple Births Solidarity match for Goodluck/Sambo in Lagos Stadium. It was indeed an impressive turnout as over 1000 sets of identical twins and multiple births besieged the venue to show support for the continuity of Mr. President.
Some of the twins who spoke to the media expressed satisfaction over the efforts by the Mamuzee to give them such recognition as the gathering brought strong sense of togetherness amongst the multiple births in Nigeria. They further reiterated their commitment come out in mass today to vote for Goodluck/Sambo ticket. They also assured of using all their human and social media networks to reach out to their fan base and twins networks in Nigeria to support for the continuity of the present administration

It is worthy to note that following the high profile press conference staged in Abuja by the Mamuzee Twins calling on INEC not to disenfranchise the multiple births due to the experience one of them had earlier, they stormed in Riverine areas to hold Jaw-breaking campaigns for the re-election of Goodluck/Sambo with some nollywood stars..

Speaking at the event, the National President Dr. Suleiman Adejo stressed that the event was put together to unveil the new Messengers Of Peace number plates, honour peace messengers with awards as well as celebrate the neglected primary school especially the head mistress who gave in so much to teach the children in a very uncomfortable environment. He further revealed that the vehicle plate number is open to prospective Peace messengers and general public at a very affordable cost.

The Association Of Beauty Pageants and Fashion Exhibition Organiser of Nigeria (ABPFEON), a body set up to check mate beauty pageants and fashion events in the country, has sought for endorsement and security package for beauty queens.

The newly elected officials of the association led by its President Ejiro Okpihwo, made the appeal recently in Abuja, during a visit to strengthen relationship with the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Dr Mike Okiro, who had recently been conferred Grand Patron of the association.

Presenting the certificate of Grand Patron to Okiro, Ejiro appealed to the commission for the necessary support to enable him sanitise the pageant industry and build a formidable association that would unite one of the oldest entertainment and youth empowerment platform resident in the country.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Zamfara, lost one card reader during the training of ad-hoc staff in Anka Local Government Area, an official has confirmed. Alhaji Garba Galadima, INEC Head of Voter Education and Publicity in the state, who confirmed the incident on Sunday in Gusau, said security agents, were investigating the matter.

Reacting on the issue, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Sunusi Amiru said the police had already arrested some suspects in connection with the stolen machine. He said investigation had also commenced to unravel the circumstances behind the missing machine.

Amiru expressed the command’s readiness to ensure peaceful election in the state, saying that “we will not tolerate any threat to disrupt election process and we have to ensure full protection of INEC materials”. He called on members of the public to cooperate with security agents and the INEC to ensure successful elections.

It was another impressive visitation for the Association of Beauty Pageants and fashion exhibition organisers of Nigeria (ABPFEON) as they were hosted by the High Chief (Alhaji) Musa Shehu Isiwele, Executive National President Aigbojie 1 of Uromi Kingdom and Director of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).


The visit which was led by the President of the Association, Hon. Ejiro Okpihwo said that it became necessary to honour High Chief (Alhaji) Musa Shehu Isiwele as the Royal Father Of The Queens with regards to his overwhelming traditional antecedents and fatherly disposition in pressing issues in Uromi Kingdom and beyond. Princess Sandra Oladele, the matron of the body also applauded the high Chief and stated it was a privilege to confer a royal personality of his excellent caliber with of the association's most prestigious title.


ABPFEON commands and controls impressive numbers of national and state beauty queens with over 10 million fan base put together. During the visit, selected queens spoke to commend the Director of the Road Employers of Nigeria for his hard work and stressed that the honour to him is to guild and put them through especially with his elderly wisdom.

Speaking to the Beauty Queens and their delegation, High Chief, thanked them for the honour and promised to set up a Secretariat for the association and also support them in its activities and projects. This pledge came shortly after Hon. Ejiro Opkihwo spoke on behalf of the association as the Royal father vows to take responsibility of two years payment of the associations' Secretariat. He further admonished the queens to be role models and use the opportunity to create an indelible impression that will stand the test of time and also for the sake of posterity.

In truth, it has come and gone but the memories of the evening at Soho Sports centre field where the celebrated beauty slogged it out with veteran media ladies still linger. The novelty football match with a concept designed to kick Against Rape started at about 5:00pm.

The beauty queen were kitted on yellow jerseys while the opponent in all red colour in full anticipation for a historical victory for any of the team. The match kicked off with a whistle from the referee and both teams dabbled into action to out-shine and dominate one another.
As the match progressed, the tempo and tension increased though with a corresponding fatigue showing on some of the players...hmmm, what do you expect? With a beautiful one on one touch Blessing of MyTV Africa sent the media supporters to their feet in excitement as she scored the first Goal.

The second half started in high spirit as the beauty queens who were not new to competitions especially in pageant settings, stepped up their game which paid off with a beautiful solo effort from the captain - Queen Ogenna -Queen Of Aso International.
With the scoreline at one goal apiece, both team closed up their defence, not even with the introduction of veteran Wazobia presenter Willy Willy could change the score line until the referee ended the match with a peneltly shoot-out.

Finally the match which signals the flag-off ceremony of Queen of Aso Nigeria 10th year anniversary ended 5- 4 in favour of the media ladies as fate could have it the duration match saviour Queen Oge, missed her penalty shot.
It was a dramatic and interesting match which gives Nigerian Female football hope as some of the ladies would rob shoulders perfectly with the Super Falcons players on a good day. The match attracted a lot of personalities, entertainment practitioners, politicians and sports icons.

Some of whom are Emeka Ike, Mr Ini Akpabio CEO Nanet suites, Mr Collins Adeyemi -Governor PMAN, Amb John Fashanu, Mr and Barr Mrs Ezezika,Mrs Olu Wilson, Mamuzee twins etc. The CEO, Mr Desmond Agboola presented certificates to the players and praised them for the team spirit and sportsmanship.

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has declared popular actor, Emeka Ike, as the authentic president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

In its judgement on Monday, March 16, 2015, the court held that the election that brought Ibinabo Fiberesima into office as the guild’s president violated an earlier court ruling, which ordered that a status quo be maintained.
Ibinabo was taken to court by St Maradona Mikevine in a suit challenging the election that ushered in the former beauty queen as the guild’s president.

St Maradona’s lawyer, Malcolm Omirhobo, who spoke with Nigeriafilms.com after the court judgement on Monday, noted that all their prayers to the court were answered.

The court also ruled that the BoT of AGN, headed by Prince Ifeanyi Dikeh, be dissolved as its tenure had long expired.

Meanwhile, Ibinabo has vowed to appeal the judgement. She confirmed this to Nigeriafilms.com when contacted after the Monday’s judgement.

It would be recalled that Emeka Ike took Segun Arinze to court over this matter, but after Segun Arinze ended his tenure, an election was conducted and he handed over the reins of the guild to Ibinabo, who was only re-elected for a second term in that last quarter of 2014.

Her majesty Queen Sarah Obongha, the reigning Face of Culture Northern Nigeria awarded prizes to the winners of her pet project in Abuja recently. The pet-project which she tagged Abuja Essay and Poem Competition on Our Culture' was meant for primary and Secondary schools within the Abuja Municipal Area Council. 

The queen who is a prolific writer and philanthropist initiated the educational project to discover and encourage young writers and intelligent pupils using the opportunity her office as a queen afforded her.‎ The highly outspoken Cross Rivers State born model is also into photography and cinematography with a script she is already working on.


The star Prize winner Miss Amira Aliyu a primary 5 pupil of LEA Primary School Utako, apart from winning #60,000 cash, also got a scholarship
that spans through her secondary education.
 
While addressing the competitors, Queen Sarah Obongha advised the young ones to always be law abiding citizens, learn how to speak their indiginous languages, be obedient to there parents, relatives and community, as charity begins at home.

A Federal High Court in Lagos, has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release the international travelling passport of Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister.

Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia gave the order while delivering a ruling in an application filed by the former minister, who is standing trial before the court on alleged money laundering offences.

The judge ordered the anti-graft agency to release the passport to Mr. Bello Okandeji, the court’s Deputy Chief Registrar, within seven days. While also ordering that the passport should be released to Fani-Kayode, who should write a letter to the Attorney-General of the Federation, (AGF), stating where and when he wants to use the passport and the purpose of the journey.‬
‪The judge further ordered that the letter must be written within thirty one (31) working days.‬

The former minister’s passport was ordered to be in possession of the EFCC as parts of his bail conditions granted him when he was first arraigned before the court.

Prior to the judge’s order that Fani-Kayode’s passport be released, the defence had opened its case by calling a witness, Mr. Kola Olapoju, who told the court how he came in contact with the minister.

Olapoju told the court that all the money he paid into the account of the accused were the proceed from the rent he collected on his behalf.‬

‪The matter has been adjourned till tomorrow for continuation of trial.‬

Fani-Kayode, is standing trial before Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia on two count charge having been acquitted on 38 other counts.

‪The judge on November 17, 2014, partially upheld a no-case-submission filed by the former minister, discharging and acquitting him of 38 out of 40 counts of money laundering charges.

Ajumogobia is the third judge to sit on the case in the last five years.‎
