This exercise started with direct distribution of food items to the needy in Umuchukwu, Owerre Ezukala and Ogbunka towns in Orumba South local Government Area of Anambra state

The aim of the exercise is to reduce their sufferings especially during the period of restriction of movement by the state government to prevent Covid 19 widespread.

During this covid-19 crisis, the foundation got up to assist the less privileged in Society. The event which held at New Kuchingoro IDP Camp was a huge success on the 18th of April. They did their best to maintain social distance except when they had to snap pictures.

It is indeed a celebration of Life, as the Family of Late Chief Okafor Ofumelu of Umunnebo Kindred, Umodu Village, Umerun, Ayamelum LGA in Anambra State holds the Burial Ceremony of their beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, In-Law, Grandfather and Breath grandfather Chief OK a for Ofumelu who departed gloriously at Age 75.

The Burial Ceremony and lying in state of Late Chief Okafor will be held in his compound, on the Saturday 14th March 2020. The internment and condolences will also hold at same venue. Family members from across the world, including friends and loyalists to the Late Chief will be at the epoch ceremony of "Igwe Mkpume", a title he held until his departure.

According to his Son, Hon. Vincent Ofumelu, the House of Representative Member for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in Anambra State, who spoke but in affectionate expressions told us that it was painful, but that someday everyone will take that same journey, it was just a matter of time. He says "Papa may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace and harmony". He father will be buried on the same day when he received his Certificate of Return as the Member Representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in Anambra State which was on the 14th of March 2018.

Late Chief Okafor Ofumelu, titled "Igwe Mkpume" lived a life of fulfilment and was graced with even great grandchildren. His exemplar life during his times was admired and iconic to many. A notable non-governmental organization with exceptional track records in humanitarian activities especially for under-priviledged persons "Chinwe Chibuike Foundation" has yet again launched out on its Malaria Awareness and Treatment Campaign in Okwu Uratta, Owerri North LGA, Imo state.

In view of efforts to ensure to defiant fight against the malaria scourge, Chinwe Chibuike Foundation visited the Holy Family Sisters of the Needy St Joseph's Home For Orphans and Destitutes at Okwu Uratta, Owerri North LGA, Imo state. During the visit to the home of orphans and destitutes, Chinwe Chibuike Foundation team members engaged them with free medical treatments and provided free drugs, medical tests and educative information that will help them manage the challenges and illnesses caused by the malaria parasite.

Speaking with the founder and Principal Executive of the Foundation, Queen Chinwe Chibuike representatative told State Press that the malaria project was focused on creating awareness on the preventive measures, control techniques and the necessary treatments required. She called on stakeholders in the health sector to remain committed, stressing that more needs to be done, especially in areas of providing care for underprivileged persons who are unable to access or afford adequate and quality treatment.

She affectionately appreciated everyone who participated in the outreach and campaign. She encouraged them in the spirit of passionate patriotism, as she buttressed on environmental cleanliness, stressing that it was a key practise in controlling the malaria parasite.

Chinwe Chibuike foundation has continued to partner with international agencies and local institutions so as to provide succor across all sectors for underprivileged persons. She has touched the lives of over 1000nigerians and is yet doing more. Her foundation recently commenced an awareness campaign on STI, STDs and Condoms usage, so as to ensure healthiness and effective growth especially amongst teenagers, youths and young women.
