The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Saidi Abubakar, Oni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Emiton Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty Prof. Alfred Achebe, Obong of Calabar, His Eminence Ediden Ekpo Okon Abasi, Etsu of Nupe, HRH Alhaji Valiya Abubakar, and other eminent Traditional Rulers across the nation meet in Owerri, Imo State Capital for post-election peace Summit on the platform of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria.

The traditional rulers who arrived Owerri for the august Summit fixed for Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Palatial Eze Imo’s Palace Owerri had paid Courtesy Call on Governor Rochas Okorocha at the Government House Owerri, with the governor explaining why his opponents always misinterpret his firm belief in the Unity of the Country and call him “OkoroAwusa”.

The governor explained that he has always believed in the unity and indivisibility of this great nation especially when he recalls that he was born Igbo, brought up by the North and empowered by the West, adding that he has every reason to believe in the Country and her Unity.

The governor appealed to Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of nationhood because when that happens other parts of the Country would not be seeing the insurgency in the North as the problem of the North or the militancy in the Niger Delta as the problem of South-South or kidnapping in the South-East as the problem of the South-East people.

The Oni of Ife who spoke on behalf of the eminent traditional rulers said “We are here as traditional rulers under the umbrella of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria. What we are known for is to foster unity and peaceful co-existence across the entire country, Nigeria.

The outgoing governor of Imo State, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha has delivered a State-of-the-art Nigerian Police Headquarters as finishing touches are put to the new Imo State Police Command, Avu, Owerri.

The governor who has delivered some of the biggest infrastructural legacies ever done by any governor in Nigeria's Fourth Republic, boasts of more than 1000 signature projects strewn across the State, that his detractors had recently accused him of minting currencies in his house, as they cannot imagine how Imo State's meagre allocation could carry these projects.

The new Imo State Police Headquarters joins other federal government projects fully undertaken by the Rescue Mission administration of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha. The new Nigerian Prisons headquarters, which is also rated as the best in the country, the Imo International Cargo Airport, etc, are among federal government projects that will be handed over to the incoming administration.

SHOCKING!! Human Skull and Skeleton Found in a Coffin Inside a Church

According to the Sunday News, the matter came to light after an informant tipped off the police about smuggled goods at the Masonic Temple of the MacDonalds in Newton, Kwekwe.

A police report on what transpired reads,

Police received a tip-off from an anonymous caller that Ian Annandale was keeping smuggled goods at Masonic Temple of the MacDonalds in Newton, Kwekwe.

A search was conducted and the team discovered an empty wooden coffin, a skull and two radius bones on top of the cabinet in a room at the back of the church. Annandale referred police to Marthinus Pretorius.

He was contacted on his cellphone and indicated that the skull and bones were for religious purposes left by previous Masonic Temple of the MacDonalds church members. He said the remains were over 75 years old.

Pretorius referred police to James Chigwedere the Grand Master of all Masonic Temple of the MacDonalds churches in Zimbabwe who stated that it was their religion’s requirement to keep the skulls and bones in their temples.

Pretorius appeared in court last Thursday facing a charge of violating a corpse. He pleaded not guilty. Gweru magistrate Phineas Murandu remanded the matter to May 7 for trial.

The National Coordinator of National Youth Corporate Social Responsibility Fund and Coalition of Young Candidates of the Federal Republic Nigeria, Chief Ambassador Vincent Anthony Ubani has expressed his warmest greetings to Nigerians who participated in making the occasion of the Youth Rights Week a success. He made this remarks via a press conference released few hours after the occasion that was held two days ago in Abuja.


The APC Governorship Aspirant and AAC Governorship Candidate in the just concluded 2019 elections in Abia State, Anthony Ubani, stated the Youths Rights Week was a platform for strategic exchange of ideas and initiative development, that will further promote youths right in Nigeria and oversees, as well as youths inclusion in governance.

It is our fundamental human rights to make sure we come together in unity and love for the common interest of every Nigeria both home and abroad to enable us push this country to a brighter Next Level agenda 2019-2023 of this led President Muhammadu Buhari administration and this while we who are committed to see this Government succeed are doing everything to give everyone a sense of belonging by fighting for our rights for freedom, fairness, equity and justice.

Before the 2nd of May, 2019 we shall be demanding from all Embassies for records of all our youths and women being held down in various prison yards globally and those killed UNJUSTLY request for the killings, marginalization and humiliation of our people in their various countries should be put to an everlasting end as no man has the right to take another man's life unjustly because he is in your country looking for greener pasture. We are totally positive that if all authorities involved put deep consideration on the recommendations, then we are confident that we are already working towards a peaceful coexistence between we the young people and youth of Nigeria and the Government of our nation and other countries.

The "Comedy Assembly" show held during the weekend at Abuja have witnessed a massive turnout irrespective of the sudden change of venue few hours to the show. The event which was described as amazing was a sold-out show with top entertainment and nollywood personalities.

According to the host, Comedian and MC Nick B, he described the turnout of guests and participants to be impressive, stressing his appreciation to those who turned up despite the sudden development that almost sabotaged the success of the age long Abuja Comedy show.

The event attracted high profile personalities and celebrities including Actress Tonto Dikeh who expressed excited that is was her best comedy event ever.

Unfortunately, the event of the "Comedy Assembly", which was scheduled to hold at Transcorp Hilton hotel was suddenly changed to Top Rank Galaxy, which led to an observed dissapointment, as some guest returned to their homes, regardless the event witnessed a success with impressive performance, presentations - It was indeed a sold out show.

Speaking with Actress Tonto Dikeh at the event, she louded the show has she joyfully expressed her satisfaction in the outcome of the event, she says, "it was indeed a humourous event, I enjoyed it".
