Queen Chinonye Joy Olebu, reigning Miss Imo State has released photos as she is set to hand over the crown in the forthcoming 2019 Miss Imo State contest, holding in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

Queen Chinonye doubles as a beauty Queen and the Convener of JoyChinonye Foundation(JCF).She has displayed unconventional wisdom, abled capacity and Intellectual disposition of commitment throughout her reign as a beauty Queen.

She was crowned Queen in April 2018 and would be handing over on the 13th of April 2019. During her reign, Queen Chinonye was engaged in several charity and humanitarian projects. As the founder of Joy Chinonye Foundation, Queen Joy has carried out free medical outreach in Orsu LGA,Imo State with the development partnership of Society For Family Health (SFH) in Imo state.

Her Foundation also donated food and other items to inmates, during a visit to Owerri prisons, to share love and extend its hands of benevolence to the those who have given up on life.

Few months ago, Queen Chinonye also flagged-off the Dance Flash Mob Project, tagged 'Arise Girl Initiative'. A project which explored the the art of dancing as channel to impact on the society and help support talented dancers in some communities across Nigeria.

Her Majesty Queen Joy Chinonye bagged several awards during her reign, amongst them is the recognition as the "Most Influential Queen of the Year", "Best Pageant Queen of the Year", amongst others.

Popular comic actor, John Okafor, a.k.a Mr. Ibu has debunked the rumours making the rounds that he is currently down with stroke, saying “Na their papa get stroke.”


Mr. Ibu, who spoke exclusively on the telephone said he is hale and hearty, adding that he is not suffering from any ailment.

NASS leadership: Stop Igbo Marginalisation, Youth Parliament Urges APC/Presidency

The Igbo Youth Parliament has frowned at events and utterances surrounding the election of principal officers of the incoming ninth National Assembly.

The Group particularly criticized the winner-takes-all mentality of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying the 95/5% rule must stop forthwith.

According to the Youth Parliament, there is the need to maintain balance and give every Nigerian a sense of belonging, especially given the marginalisation the Igbo Nation has suffered in the country.

While reminding the Party that every segment of the Country has qualified individuals for national service, the Group expressed its support to the aspiration of Chief (Dr.) Orji Uzor Kalu as one of the next presiding officers of the Senate.

The choice of Dr. Kalu, the Youth Parliament noted is due to his versatility, sagacity and detribalized personality.

According to the Group, "the new Senator-Elect for Abia North successfully delivered APC in his constituency," querying what extra qualifications were necessary that he does not possess.

"For now and except convinced otherwise, the cap fits Orji Uzor Kalu and we so recommend him and will support all his efforts pursuant to becoming Senate President, the Group added.

A Lagos high court sitting at Igbosere has once again ordered the arrest of Monalisa Chinda over tax evasion.

The presiding judge, Adedayo Akintoye, renewed the order for her arrest following her failure to appear in court for trial, since 2017.

She adjourned further proceedings till June 5. When the case was mentioned, neither Coker nor her lawyer was present in court.

The prosecuting counsel Babatunde Sumonu reminded the court that the bench warrant issued for her arrest is yet to be executed. Consequently, Justice Akintoye ordered that “the bench warrant is to continue.”

The judge consequently held that the bench warrant should subsist. She adjourned the case until June 5 for further hearing.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the court had on January 21 given the order for the actress’s arrest following an application made by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

INEC Gives Automatic Employment To Ex-NYSC Member Who Lost Sight While Serving Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has announced the automatic employment of one Mr. Mr Daniel Oluwatobi, an Ex-NYSC Corps member who lost his sight while in serving.

A statement by the commission via its twitter handle stated that the INEC Chair, Prof. Yakubu presented a Letter of Appointment to ex-NYSC member after loosing his sight while on official duty as INEC ad-hoc staff in Yobe state during the 2011 general election.

The statement added that the letter of employment issued at the at the NYSC Headquarters, Abuja in June 2016 was witnessed by Brig Gen Sule Kazaure, the DG.

Alexreports reveals that, husband and wife, Ifeanyi Azota and Azotani Toochukwu and their family friend, Ogochukwu Nwankwo have been sentenced to prison for assaulting a woman, Okafor Ogochukwu, at Ezimezi village in Amawbia state.

While the husband bagged 16 months imprisonment with a fine of N200,000, the wife and her friend bagged nine (9) years imprisonment each, conspiracy, blackmail, deprivation of liberty and assault occassioning harm.

Recall that, a statement by SP Haruna Mohammed PPRO of Anambra State Police Command, stated that:

“On the 21/3/2019 at about 2:40pm, one Okafor Ogochukwu ‘F’ of Osile Village Ogidi reported at Central Police Station Awka that on 19/03/2019 at about 11:36am, she was invited by her male facebook friend one Ifeanyi Azota ‘m’ to his house at Ezimezi village in Amawbia. All of a Sudden a woman who claimed to be his wife namely Azotani Toochukwu ‘f’ suddenly appeared into the house with her friend one Ogochukwu Nwankwo ‘F’ and Locked her inside the bathroom for almost four hours and left.

“The women later came back with two big canes and opened the bathroom,

“However, while the Suspect’s friend one Ogochukwu Nwankwo stripped her naked and flogged her severally, the principal suspect was busy video taping the incident and thereafter pushed her out from the compound naked.

“Complainant further alleged that the principal suspect Azotani Toochuckwu called her on phone the following day and demanded for the sum of Sixty thousand Naira (#60,000) or they will post her nude video on the internet.

“Consequently, when the complainant refused to pay the money as requested, the principal suspect Azotani Toochukwu actualised her threat and posted the naked video to the internet and since then the vedio went viral.”

The complainant had demanded jail terms for the husband, wife and their family friend for the blackmail, insult and public disgrace among other damages, to serve as a deterrent to others.

According to investigations by ATTENTION MAGAZINE, The American uncertified Surgeon, Dr. Anu proceeded on the fat transfer surgery at her Med Contour Cosmetic Surgery after having several cases and records of surgery failures and complications.
