If you understand the pathophysiology of diabetes (tye 2) you'll see there is really little or no impact of bitter leaf.

Most people think excess sugar is the cause of diabetes and so expect the 'bitterness' of the leaves can counteract it.

Not necessarily so.

The main cause of diabetes is Inability of the body to utilise the sugar either due to insufficient insulin production, or cells become resistant to effects of insulin. In either case, the blood sugar level spikes

So that sense, loading your body bitter leaf has little or no effect in addressing the route cause - ability of the body cells to use up sugar.
