Politics › Re: Why Can't FG Fix Refineries And Sideline Dangote? - Agbakoba by alezzy13: 2:01pm On Jul 22, 2024
Good question!!

The claim is that he was given subsidised dollars to enable the completion of the refinery. Honestly to me, that issue is neither here nor there. Bottom line is we can the result! He delivered!!

What about the billions devoted to TAT of our state owned refineries?? Why is no one asking about that??

Am not really a fan of Dangote, but I don't like the way they are treating him.

Govt should look dispassionately at the bigger picture. Is it more profitable to continue paying subsidy to fuel importers or to give a fraction of that money to Dangote, if in the end it guarantees cheaper fuel for us?

Yeah. I identify with democrats, but it's almost certain that Trump - admittedly, though painfully - will win. sad

A fit, sound Biden might stand a chance, but not the current occupant of the Whitehouse.

The sickening irony is that this is man who did everything possible to scuttle democracy and is now going to benefit from it. So sad.
Politics › Re: Why I Intervened In National Minimum Wage Negotiations — Tinubu by alezzy13: 3:21am On Jul 19, 2024
Make Una calm down. Yes I was personally hoping for at least 90-100k, but here we are.

It's not perfect but it's a start.

However beyond the announcement is the ability of states and in particular the private sector to pay.

Honestly if all states are able to pay this 70k minimum, then I go give them hand. Till then it's cautious watching

Anybody that thinks there is no cure to HIV has not been following the bigger picture.
They only make drugs to keep hiv under check and now another to be taken periodically for control.
But the drug to end it completely, somehow, they can’t produce ?
Geez, you guys and unending conspiracy theories. 🤦

HIV, like most infectious diseases will not go away simply because there is a cure.

Were that the case, malaria, typhoid, etc, would have all disappeared - yes, they have cures.

A cure for HIV will be the biggest kill for any pharma company. It makes absolutely no sense they would be 'hiding' it.

Lastly, think about it: if they really want to cash out from the disease, would they spend billions researching a drug that prevents HIV?? THINK!! 🙄

Yet some slow individuals are still crying that this was staged. Their only pain is that Trump didn't die.

I wonder how he's going to stage this shooting, being a man hunted by the incumbent government.

Someone they are monitoring almost every seconds, looking for his mistakes, and you believe he's going to stage this with the Secret Service?

The Director of the USSS is appointed by the President, so you're saying even Joe Biden is on board to help his opponent win? Someone he called a threat to their democracy and compared to Hitler?

I saw 2Baba's post calling it a package too. I guess the dvmbness runs deeper than I thought.
Abeg kip kwayet dia. !! cheesy

Lol. The conspiracy peddling Trumpists have suddenly turned a new leaf.

Personally I don't think anyone in his right senses will believe this was staged. They are basically just trolling you guys and give a dose of your medicine.

Not that I support such. This is a serious issue & should be treated as such.

And of course we thank God for sparing his life. 🙏

Honestly, if this is his result.

Then he's not for to become a governor. Is this how this country has fallen??

Someone that cannot use this result to be a private primary school teacher or even learn tailoring, will want to be a governor?

Why would the APC give ticket to such a failure as this?? Well maybe it's a doctored result.
Or even totally fake. I wrote my WACE that same year, and as of that time , they were not using 'D'. If not mistaken, it's was A1-3, C1-3(credit), pass and then fail.

Yes they may be bigger overall, but those citizens in Europe are actually doing better. Like I said in previous post, it's not just the overall figure but must be compared with it's population.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Countries With The Largest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) 2024 by alezzy13: 12:55pm On Jul 13, 2024
GDP is good, but on its own may not paint a realistic picture. Naturally the bigger countries will have overall bigger GDP.

A more useful picture is to compare with it's population which gives a better insight on the actual wealth of its citizens.

US, for instance, though number one here, slides down to number 8 on a GDP/capita basis. In that sense, Luxembourg is actually the richest country.

Good afternoon. Hope you're having a nice day? Pls I need to know if you reinvested your interest. And if you did did, they leave the interest that is less than a hundred thousand which could not be reinvested? If not did you get your upfront interest after you had been debited?
Cos I applied for reinvestment yet nothing was left. They even tampered with the balance in my account for their custodian fee.
I'm still waiting patiently hoping to see the least interest paid back into my account.
I'm curious because this is my first time investing with gtb. Thanks 🙏
@bolded, no I have always collected my internet upfront. Usually they will debit the amount and processing fees, and leave the interest. Then at at maturity, the principal is paid.

If you not satisfied with their service you can try customer care line.

Pls did you get your certificate immediately
Not sure if GT gives certificate automatically.

Personally I've never gotten - though it's probably because I don't request. Usually I rely on the email debit notice and investment details (amt, tenor, maturity date) that shows up on my internet platform & it suffices for me.

You may need to reach out to them.

My account officer is quite far was told to always reach out thru mails and is almost a month, attached is their mail for excuses, is the a better bank to do it I am tried of gt
I strongly suggest you physically go to any of their branches and get it done. From my experience, they can notorious when it comes to following up with such instructions via mail, unless you follow up continuously with calls.

To save the stress simply go to any branch, ask for those in charge, they will give you the rates, you fill the form and that's it. Usually doesn't take more than 10mins.

Gtb denied me primary market because I don't hear 50m o.😢☹️
Pls who else did primary market with other banks and what were the rates? Thanks
No mind them. That's what I'm being told oo.

I had to settle for secondary market, though the difference is not much. (I got 19.5% for 359 as against 20% at primary mkt)

That is false.

If you invest N2,000,000 in a 3 year bond at 17%, in the first year you will get N340,000 ( That's N170,000 two time in the year).

Second year, you will get N340,000 ( That's N170,000 two time in the year).

In the 3rd year you will get N2,340,000 (That's N170,000 in the first 6 months and N2,170,000 which is the addition of your last coupon/interest and your principal).

The final amount you will get for that investment is N3,020,000.

Except if you were investing your interest elsewhere which could give you additional interest. If you calculate your returns solely as it comes, the above is your the only interest in it.

hope you read your write up again.

Civilian areas with Hamas hiding in their mist, after the strike bring out the children and women hide the fighters body then prove a media point.

If there is anything more than devil is Hamas. Israel have to them if they like let them hide in white house, Israel said White House will be bombed

Btw who is the killer of the civilians, Israel or Hamas? You guess is good as mine.

No hiding place for the terrorist, if they like they should go and hide in TelAviv Israel will bomb TelAviv

These are the so-called civilians, in as much as they are civilians in Gaza, hamas will continue to exist.211_jpeg50fb1ce200f83d9e11f2f490795ff561
