The OP is NOT talking of islamic education, so I think u are mixing it up. He is talking of normal secular education ALONE(at least that's what I decipher) But if I am to respond on islamic education, honestly we should face it. We need the koran to be written in English more. Most of us cram the koran in sing-song, but had no idea what we were saying (guilty!). We are not arabs. English would make the koran more accessible. Ofcourse there is a disconnect between the youths and organizations. Boils down to understanding the book and English.
I concur 100 percent with u that if people truly knew what the koran says about women, they would realize that we are held in the highest pedestal, but people leave it to the alfas to interpret it for them. The Alfas are ruled more by their african mentality towards women more than the teachings of the Koran. Then again, if people (women) had more access to d koran in English, they would read things for themselves.

The problem with muslims is tantamount to the problems in Nigeria. It is like someone who lives in Ajegunle, Okokomaiko, Idi-araba, Ojuelegba of Lagos comes up to say Lagosians are suffering. He is pained and needs answers propabably looking for people that will profer solution.
