PoliticsRe: So Labour Party Lost In Anambra by alienvirus: 5:08pm On Mar 19, 2023
An Igbo can only be president if and only if:

1. Igbos believe in Nigeria they want to lord over.

2. Igbos accept and respect other ethnic nationalities

3. Igbos are ready to work with all ethic nationalities.

4. Present a non-tribalistic and non-religious sentimentalist. Someone who can go to mosques and pay homages to Imams to canvas votes. Someone who can equal go to churches to plead for votes and respect traditionalists equally.

5. Igbos do away with chest-beating and don't be haughty and cocky.

6. Do away with Biafra. You can't be clamoring for Biafra at the same time eye Nigerian presidency.

One Nigerian used 1999 RAV 4 o. You know what, mechanics ran away from me even with my cash in my pocket.

In fact, chief Gazzuzz asked me to bring the car but I had already made up my mind to sell it off.

I had to rest for almost 2 years before I considered buying another car. A complete relief after I sold it off.

Actually, the experience made me understand how to buy car either toks or Nig used.
BusinessRe: Ghana’s Inflation Hits 40.4% In October 2022 by alienvirus: 5:03am On Nov 11, 2022
brain54:
Firstly I never said the purchasing power of naira is very strong/powerful. I only stated it is better than the cedi.
You also shot yourself in the foot with your 2015 analogy. Are you saying because you bought some thing in 2015 for 1k and then buy same thing 5k presently that means the purchasing power of the currency is powerful?
As for the factors of production you mentioned…the common man don’t need to know all that or concern himself with the cost of production. What concerns him is how much the end product cost. Again from your anology I can imply or deduce that weak currency or low purchasing power would definitely result in high cost of final goods. This partly can be as a result of the weak purchasing power of of that currency.
Do you get it? I also used food as my example because food is basic and easy to use as comparison.
Baba I think you just muddled up most of your arguments.
Show me anywhere in Nigeria where a plate of food at a road side mama put chop bar sales for 3k and I will close my nairaland accoun.t. You can easily eat 30 cedis here at a local restaurant and not be satisfied. I am not talking of a 2 star hotel. I mean mama put joint.
Someone I know personally bought gobe (beans) some days back for 10 cedis. (1k naira) the quantity you will get for around 150 naira max from the food vendor.
Meaning if he was in Nigeria he would probably add bread, dodo and some cold Pepsi and still get change.
So don’t tell me about factors of production…
If my explanation at this point is not clear to you then I don’t know what else to say to you.
But I hope you get it…
Thank you sir.

I do go to Ghana every quarter. Just few days ago, I made up my mind that I would reduce it to once in a year. Why? Because of the economic crises we are talking about.

If Ghana's situation is not addressed, we will see Ghana's companies closing down and so many people losing their jobs and employers will not be able to cope again. I pray that doesn't happen at all.

The day I ordered for food in a nice hotel in Accra and I saw GHS 350 bill, I knew everything was wrong with that country. Just a square meal more than the minimum wage.

bro don't say that people are experiencing worse here.. you dont know that it is painful to discover that our highest currency has no value at all.. can you compare the purchasing power of 1000 naira and 1000 cedis together
You need to compare naira to old Ghana Cedis first or you don't know that Ghana removed 4 zeros from their currency?

Nigerians are naturally terrible in handling Naira. What is the essence of destruction of the old notes if not the way we handle the notes.

Attitudinal change is necessary here.

Sure one does not expect the fuel consumption to be the same as that of Corolla but is the fuel consumption too much? Or is it that people are over exaggerating the whole thing because they are used to driving a corolla?
The fuel consumption is very okay for a V6. I have no problem with it at all.

I presently use Avalon. Parts are not expensive to me and easy to fix like any other Toyota. I enjoy the ride and very reliable. It has never disappointed me for 4 years (still counting).

It must be an OS issue. Probably an update. You need to roll back the system to a previous that when the update occured (system restore). In settings, search for system restore and pick the earliest day available there.

Hello great people.

I bought a Toyota sienna 2005 4 months ago. Direct tokumbo. A mechanic is advicing that I remove the thermostat. That it is basically for countries will cooler weather.

Should I?

Thanks
Do Dubai people from hot desert remove theirs? I still have my own working in the car that I bought about 4 yrs ago even after so much pressure from quack mechanics.

One successfully removed it when I was faced with overheating issue but thanks to Mosbus who restored it back and resolved the real cause of the overheating.

Science/TechnologyRe: Network Overhaul - Learn From My Experience. by alienvirus(op):
I came back the next day to physically inspect the LAN. I saw degraded cables still in use, very unkempt infrastructure with spaghetti cables everywhere. PDUs (extensions lying on the floor, too many APs in the system, too many unmanaged switches on the floor at desktop points. All ports and cable labels gone. The whole IT infrastructure was in complete disarray. I told myself that before I lay my hands on anything here, these nonsense I am seeing needs to be sorted out first.

I moved from cable to cable, rack to rack, switch to switch, router to router, of course, PC to PC.

Hmmm. Even if the Internet was superb, my first day observation would make it so useless.

In the existing infrastructure, there was absolutely no network security. The whole company relied on wireless AES passwords. Of course, most of the outdoor APs are not working. Those that were installed about 8 yrs ago. Some bullets attached to the AP antennas were nowhere to be found.

Serious citizens that are interested in their country being the leader of the world unlike some set of people that only complain and drag their country's name in the mud both online and offline. They enjoy doing that. They normally feel they know it all. They put mouth in every affair. Not their fault. Most of them are empty heads who do not know what to do with their national lives other than complain.

This later set of people are called Nigerians!
