Politics / Re: 30 Feared Killed In Benue Communities By Fulani Herders by Alisha4U(f): 4:52pm On Feb 11, 2015
I keep asking this question, Buhari is not yet the president and they kill our people wantonly, what would they do if Buhari, the one time chairman of miyeti Allah, the lofelong patron of the fulani cattle rearers associa4dtion (ie miyeti allah), the bias supporter of the fulani people, becomes the president, hun?
he retired commodore Ebitu Ukiwe for evacuating fulani cattle sellers from Mobil road (then Maloo road), he led an entourage to the then governor of Oyo to harass him because there was a clash between fulani cattle rearers and local farmers in a village in the state, how can this kind of person be neutral in any matter concerning fulanis if he becomes the president? Hun?
i shake my head at southerners and even some middle belters supporting Buhari.

Abdallah Bulgasem Zehaf-Bibeau, the crackhead turned Jihadist spawned by the mating of a Canadian immigration official and a Libyan Muslim Jihadist, just wanted peace.

He told a co-worker, “There can’t be world peace until there’s only Muslims.” Then he tried to usher in peace, the Islamic way, by opening fire near the Canadian parliament.

Meanwhile in Israel a reporter interviewing Arab Muslim settlers in Jerusalem found that they too wanted peace. On their terms.

“Yes we want peace,” one of them said, “but peace means no Jews.”

When negotiating peace with other cultures it’s a good idea to make sure that the words you are using mean the same thing. Most Muslims and Westerners want peace. But to Westerners peace means co-existence. To Muslims, peace means the end of your existence.

Ideas carry heavy cultural baggage. Peace in the West summons up images of Armistice Day, of the Christmas Truce of WW1 in which French, German and English soldiers could share meals and play soccer together. It carries with it the subversive idea that both sides realize the war isn’t worth fighting.

Such a subversive idea has no place in Islam. The Jihad is at the heart of Islam. To question the holy war is to also question the faith. When war is religion then peace through setting aside war is heresy.

The Western idea of peace is a wholly alien one to Islam. In Islam, peace does not come from men transcending their differences, but from destroying men who think and live differently. That is the function of the religious police of our allied “moderate Muslim” countries who seek out the practice of other religions and other ways of living in places like Saudi Arabia and suppress their practitioners.

Islamic peace does not come from diversity, from accepting the existence of other nations, religions and peoples, but from unity through Islam and eliminating as many differences as possible. If Islam is the source of peace, then all that which is “not Islam” is the cause of war.

Kill the Jews. Kill the Christians. Then there will be peace.

The Islamic idea of peace was aptly expressed by Zehaf-Bibeau and our anonymous Jerusalem Jihadist. It is not based on a recognition of the humanity of one’s fellow man, but on a rejection of their humanity.

As Mohammed curtly put it in missives to the leaders of non-Muslim countries in the region, “Aslim, Taslam.” Convert to Islam and you’ll have peace. The same message has been dispatched by Muslim leaders today to popes and presidents. It’s a message of peace on the only terms that Islam allows.

Islam is the religion of peace. For there to be peace, Islam must be supreme. Within the Islamic worldview, conflict is caused by the existence of dissent. The only way to achieve peace is by forcing the submission of every human being to the correct strain of Islam. “Moderates” may agree to let Jews and Christians live as inferior second-class citizens if they submit to Muslims. “Extremists” will skip straight to raping and beheading them. And once that ugly business is done, there will be peace.

Or there will be peace once the “moderates” and “extremists” have finished killing each other, once the Sunnis and Shiites have finished beheading each other, and once every single Muslim has finished slaughtering every other Muslim who in any way dissents from his understanding of Islam.

That’s the brand of peace we’re seeing in Iraq and Syria today. Or the peace process between Israel and the Arab Muslims who were rebranded as “Palestinians” because it made them seem like a local flavor.

Islam rejects the idea that mutual empathy should transcend conflict. Instead it believes that war should transcend humanity. Or as the Koran puts it, “Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not.”

The Western tradition is biased toward the peace of co-existence. It applies the logic of armistice toward all areas of life leading to the championing of multiculturalism and immigration. Its siren song is John Lennon’s Imagine with its call for an end to borders, nations, religions and property. Its ideal of peace comes from the end of structure and separation between people.

The Islamic idea of peace however affirms a structure and separation based on the Koran. It believes that there will be peace when everyone is forced to live within the strictures of Islam. And therefore there can be no genuine peace with non-Muslims who do not submit to Islam.

These two incompatible notions of peace continue to collide. Imagine if French soldiers had clambered out to sing and play soccer only to be gunned down by German soldiers who had a fundamentally different idea of peace. This was actually how WW2 was shaped as the victorious side played by outdated rules while Nazi Germany, Japan and the USSR shifted to a thoroughly totalitarian mentality.

Munich was a disaster because Hitler was not the Kaiser. The other side was no longer willing to play by any rules, even in diplomatic negotiations, or to accept anything short of total victory. The Allies were forced to match their enemies in a ruthless war that saw entire cities destroyed.

The Nazis and Communists were the products of years of indoctrination that taught them to see opponents as less than human and peace as being obtainable only through their destruction. Japan, which had a longer history of dehumanizing outsiders, proved to be an even tougher nut to crack.

Islam has a history of over a thousand years of continuously dehumanizing non-Muslims and identifying peace and their enslavement as one and the same. It is impossible to live in peace with Muslims who think that there can be no peace as long as non-Muslims continue to live independent lives.

In the Muslim worldview, war happens because non-Muslims exist. War is caused by the infidel, the disbeliever and the Muslim hypocrite who does not truly commit to the practice of Islam. The Jihad purifies the world of non-Muslims; it eradicates the “moderate” Muslims who have been compromised by Western culture. It is a war of extermination against the un-Islamic.

When Westerners propose peace, Muslims reject them as hypocrites for speaking of peace, but refusing to accept the only religion that can bring peace. They feel no obligation to honor any peace agreements since peace can only come from Islam and the Western rejection of Islam proves our deceitfulness and bad intentions. This dynamic is inherent in the Koran and the entire history of Islam.

Islam does not obtain peace through peace, but through war. It seeks a world without conflict by killing anyone who might disagree with its totalitarian ideology.

Proposing the peace of co-existence to an ideology to which peace means its own supremacy is a foolish and deranged act. Our outreach to the Muslim world does not lack for a common language, but for common ideas. Both sides may speak of peace, but for one side peace really means war.

Languages are not only made up of words, but of values. It is not enough to bring a dictionary to a negotiation if the two parties are reading from different moral and ethical traditions. Just because we translate “Salaam” as peace and agree that we both want peace does not mean that we have the same idea of what peace is.

The West sees peace as living side by side with Muslims. Muslims see peace as the end of the West.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Awful Effect Of Sex Jihad. by Alisha4U(f): 11:28pm On Nov 27, 2014
The Story is not a hoax my Brother, its real.
Islam for Muslims / Awful Effect Of Sex Jihad. by Alisha4U(f): 11:10pm On Nov 27, 2014
The original report was first published on 22 September, in the online Tunisian daily,al-Shourouk.

This case has shocked the Tunisian society; a week later, this Arabic-language daily reported that Hezbollah had arrested near the Lebanese-Syrian border, six Tunisian women en route to Syria, to join in the “Fornication Jihad.” On Monday, 30 September, more news about this tragic story was reported; dealing with the need to bring to justice those responsible for this unbelievable type of Jihad!

The following is a shortened version of the horrific experiences of deluded young Tunisian women.

“The most important question we face is who had stood behind this attack on of the Tunisian society, and sought to weaken its religious and cultural institutions?

“We may point to those obscurantist forces; especially to the Jihadist-Salafist ideology that had developed an extremely dangerous phraseology that captivated the minds of some weak members of our society. Lamia, Mounia, Hanan are names of victims of those ferocious beasts!

“On the highway that links Tunis to Bizerte, we find a house where Lamia lives. On the outside, the house looks any other Tunisian dwelling. However, as soon as you have stepped in the house, a strong feeling of sadness confronts you. Lamia’s story began when she was nineteen years old. She came under the influence of s Da’iya (a propagandist of radical Islam) who transformed her into his slave. He convinced her that a woman could participate in Jihad against the enemies of Islam, by willing to have sex with those brave Jihadists after their return from their raids in Syria. Lamia became like putty in the “service” of the “Mujahideen,” (Arabic for Jihadists) who were Pakistanis, Afghanis, Libyans, Tunisians, Iraqis, Saudis, and Somalis, Her body became “multinational.” The child she is carrying, if he ever sees the light of day, would be fatherless, with no place or recognition in society!

“Lamia had met other “fornication jihadists” who were from various Tunisian towns: Kasserine, el-Kef, Hay-el-Tahrir, Bizerte, Gafsa, and Sfax. Having tasted horrors beyond description, she managed to start her way back to Tunisia. She was arrested at the Libyan-Tunisian border, thanks to the fact that her parents had reported her missing a few months earlier. During her interrogation by the authorities, she admitted that she was in Syria together with several women and young girls participating in the “Fornication Jihad.” Having submitted to medical tests, it was confirmed that she had contracted SIDA; further tests showed she was in her fifth month of pregnancy, and her child was equally infested with the same disease.

Lamia is back at home; her family decided to keep her in isolation at their home, in a rural village, on the Bizerte to Tunis route. Members of her family hope that her drama would end by her death prior to the birth of her child.”

I don’t have much to add to this account of the tragic end, not only of poor Lamia, but of countless Muslim women who were brainwashed to participate in a conflict that had been going on in Syria, since mid-March, 2011. A conflict that began as a genuine Syrian Intifada, but as it dragged into months, and years of brutal repression, the civil war morphed into an unbelievable pan-Islamist conflict that attracted al-Qaida-type mujahideen, who murder indiscriminately innocent Syrians, including Christians.

The world watches on, getting numb to the mounting casualties among the Syrian population, and learns belatedly, of the shocking news that has brought sorrow and shame to many a Tunisian family!

SIDA is a French acronym for AIDS

Politics / An Appeal To Northern Elders by Alisha4U(f): 9:46am On Oct 23, 2014
As much as Nigerian leaders call for and promote unity of our country, Southern and Northern elders still would often exchange bitter words. Earlier, Naij.com has posted an opinion by our contributor Hussain Obaro who warned Southers leaders against presenting the North in the wrong light and antagonizing Nigerians. Today, Dr. Deborah Nelson, writing from Ilorin, Kwara State, appeals to the Northern elders and voices her own concerns.

“1. Northern elders! During the Yar’Adua administration, militants’ activities in the Niger Delta led to substantial drop in crude oil production. To restore normalcy to the region, Niger Delta elders, led by the then-Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, went into the creeks and persuaded the militants to embrace peace. Similarly, when activities of the OPC were becoming a threat to national security, Yoruba elders met with the OPC members and persuaded them to embrace peace.

“But in the North, instead of adopting similar measures to restore peace to the region, you are busy looking for whom to blame. According to you, Northern elders, Boko Haram terrorists are not Northerners but Southerners, financed to destroy the North. Unfortunately, while you are busy playing the ostrich, a sizable part of this nation is being destroyed by Boko Haram terrorists and Fulani herdsmen.

“2. Northern elders! In 2010, Alhaji Kaita promised to make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan if he was elected Nigerian president in 2011. In 2010 also, Atiku Abubakar promised to bring about violent change if he did not become Nigerian president in 2011. As promised by Kaita and Atiku, Boko Haram metamorphosed into a deadly terrorist sect overnight as soon as president Jonathan was sworn in as president in 2011. Just recently, Dr. Junaid Mohammed threatened that “if this President rigs himself back into office in 1015, it may very well mark the end of this country”. One hopes Dr. Junaid Mohammed, his wives and children will personally participate in his self-imposed mission to destroy Nigeria.

“3. Northern elders! You called for investigation and prosecution of General Ihejirika, rtd., and Senator Sheriff based primarily on accusation by Mr. Davies. The same Mr. Davies accused you of using Boko Haram to destabilize Jonathan’s government. He also accused a high-ranking official in the CBN, who recently left his post, of financing Boko Haram. But you feigned ignorance of these aspects of Mr. Davies’ allegations. Of recent, Mr. Obermayr, a member of European Parliament, accused General Buhari, rtd., of financing Boko Haram, and Alhaji Atiku of being financed by al Qaida to destabilize Southern Nigeria. He also accused the APC of channeling European Parliament financial aids to support insurgency in Eastern Nigeria. As expected, you and Chief John Oyegun, APC Chairman, are exhibiting incurable symptoms of selective amnesia as regards those accusations.

“4. Northern elders! You often celebrate Boko Haram attacks on security forces as a manifestation of Jonathan’s incompetence. But any counter-attack by security forces against Boko Haram attracts prompt criticism from you. According to you, Boko Haram terrorists are fighting for their rights the same way the Niger Delta militants did, hence, the government should stop attacking them and grant them amnesty. By your actions, utterances and body language, you created enabling environment for Boko Haram to grow into the present monster that is currently decimating the region. You condemn Boko Haram only when they attack mosques or Muslims. When Emir of Kwarso was killed by the sect, Sultan Abubakar only admonished Boko Haram to ‘stop killing Muslims’.

“5. Northern Nigeria is synonymous with violence. This had been the norm even before President Jonathan assumed power. You want everyone to convert to Islam. during every religious riot, you engineer slaughter of anyone who is not a Hausa-Fulani Muslim, irrespective of his or her religion.

“Mr. Gideon Akaluka was beheaded in Kano in 1996 for just touching Holy Koran. Hundreds of Nigerians were killed in the North when you organized a religious riot against the hosting of Miss World Contest in Nigeria in 2002. In 2005 in the North, hundreds of Nigerians were killed in religious riot because a newspaper in Norway published a caricature of Prophet Mohammed. A Yoruba lady teacher from Ogun State was roasted in Bauchi by her Muslim students who accused her of touching Holy Koran in 2007. Some bloody religious riots are Maitatsine riot in Kano in 1983, 1991 riot in Kano against Evangelist Bonnke, Maiduguri riot in 2006, Sango Kataf riot, Sharia Law riot in Kaduna in 2000.

“In short, there is no year without bloody religious riots in the North, all perpetrated by you. Consequently, there is no town in the North today where Muslims and Christians live together in peace. Added to this is the widespread destruction of lives and properties of Christians by Fulani herdsmen in Kaduna, Kogi, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Adamawa states, even down to Anambra, Enugu and Oyo states.

“6. Northern elders! The inspiration for you to always orchestrate bloody religious riots could be attributed to your resolve to implement Sultan Ahmadu Bello’s Doctrine which states, “The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use the minorities in the north as winning tools and the south as a conquered territory and never allow them to have control over their future.”

“Another source could be the Organization of Islamic Countries’ (OIC) Abuja Declaration of 1989 which enjoins all member countries to ensure only Muslims are elected to all political posts of member nations, eradicate in all its forms and ramifications all non-Muslim religions in member nations (Christianity, Ahmadiya, and other tribal modes of worship unacceptable to Muslims), ensure ultimate replacement of all Western forms of legal and judicial systems with Sharia in all member nations before then next Islam in Africa Organization conference, and ensure the appointment of only Muslims into strategic national and international posts of member nations. The IAO was founded by OIC in 1989 in Abuja to implement Abuja Declarations and incidentally, one of you, Doctor Usman Muhammad Bugaje, is the current Secretary General of IAO.

“7. Nothern elders! Because of stiff opposition by you, the emergency rule imposed in the 3 North-Eastern states is not comprehensive. If you had allowed for imposition of emergency rule with a military administrator in Borno state, Governor Shettima would not have had the opportunity to organize the controversial abduction. On 11 June 2014, Governor Shettima said Boko Haram might attack Southern Nigeria. On 15 June, 3 bombs were detected in Winners Chapel Church in Owerri. Same day, soldiers intercepted 33 buses around 3 a.m. in Abia State with 486 Hausa Fulani Muslims. 86 of them were confirmed members of Boko Haram. But, led by Sultan Abubakar, you, Northern elders, called them “innocent Hausa Fulani businessmen” and demanded for their unconditional release. Even though none of these ‘businessmen’ had up to even N1,000 on them! On 20 June 2014, Boko Haram suicide bomber was arrested while trying to plant bombs in a school in Owerri. Mallam Shehu Sani said that Boko Haram would like to exchange the girls with their members in government custody, and the next day Shekau, Boko Haram leader, announced same to the public. How did Governor Shettima and Mallam Shehu Sani get the information from Boko Haram?

“8. Northern elders! Governor Shettima is old enough to make informed decisions, but he decided to play politics with human lives. If Governor Shettima’s children were in that school, would he have refused to move the students to Maiduguri, as advised by the Federal Ministry of Education? Would he have refused to provide adequate security in the school, as he promised? Why did Shettima replace all Christian staff with Muslims prior to the abduction? Why is it that on the night of the said abduction, the staff and their families did not sleep in the school? Why is it that over 90% of the girls are Christians? Why is it that none of these physics students could speak English? Initially, the Principal, Mrs. Asabe Kwambura. said she was present when the girls were abducted. Why did she change her story that she was at Maiduguri when the abduction took place? The number of the abducted girls was put at 129 initially. Why did the number increase to over 200 after Shettima offered to pay each family one million naira?

“While you mount pressure on the presidency to facilitate safe return of the girls, you should also cause your son, Governor Shettima, to provide answers to above questions. However, you can ignore this suggestion if you, Northern elders, have actually connived with Governor Shettima to facilitate the abduction of Chibok girls for political gains.

“9. Northern elders! Through deliberate adulteration of Almajiri System of Islamic Education(ASIE), you had been able to produce inexhaustible reservoirs of human robots whom you often use to prosecute endless bloody religious riots in Northern Nigeria primarily to protect your selfish interests. While you send your children to acquire Western education, you discourage the less privileged amongst you from doing same by deceiving them that Western education is un-Islamic. While you allow your children to be vaccinated against polio, you discourage the less privileged amongst you from doing same by deceiving them that it is un-Islamic. While you send your daughters to acquire Western education, you encourage less privileged amongst you to marry their daughters off at the age of seven by deceiving them that it is Islamic to do so. What do you gain by hiding under Islam, a religion of peace with over a billion believers? Remember, Allah is watching you, so, do unto the less privileged amongst you what you want others to do unto you and stop seeing them as expendable.

“10. Northern elders! You want power to return to the North next year at any cost. Some of you, Northern elders, had gone further once again to threaten to make the country ungovernable if a Northerner does not assume power next year. It is a fact that most of you are in your sixties and above, hence you think you have nothing to loose if you set the nation ablaze. If that happens, you will surely relocate abroad with your families and from the comfort of your lavishly furnished palaces, watch innocent Muslims and Christians kill themselves. If all elders in Nigeria will resort to violence to press home their demands like you, will there be any country called Nigeria by the time the winner finally emerges. Please talk like a typical African elder who is an embodiment of wisdom, peace and humility and not like a motor park tout.

“11. Northern elders! The vast majority of people of Niger Delta believe, rightly or wrongly, that Hausa-Fulani politicians use Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen to destabilize Jonathan’s government. Consequently, they may destabilize any government headed by a Hausa Fulani president. Niger Delta people are not against the rest Northerners. To avoid a situation whereby Nigeria will be forced to fight three wars (the Boko Haram war, Fulani herdsmen war, and oil and gas war) simultaneously with no money to prosecute the wars, Hausa Fulani politicians should step aside for now. There are many capable and credible northerners (both Christians and Muslims) such as Sam Nda Isah, David Mark, Iyocha Ayough, and many others whom the North can jointly adopt and support to contest for presidency. You will as expected, wave this suggestion aside as an idle talk, hoping that you will cross the bridge when you get there. From available indices, there may be no bridge to cross because emergence of a Hausa-Fulani president next year through whatever means, will usher in unprecedented disruption of gas and crude oil production throughout the duration of the government.

“12. Northern elders! Instead of wasting precious time trying to blame anyone but yourselves, you should meet with Boko Haram members and persuade them to embrace peace, just as Yoruba and Niger Delta elders did. You, Northern elders, may not feel threatened by the avoidable disaster you have brought on the North. This is because your people will believe and do whatever you tell them without a second thought. This also informs your penchant to relish in issuing threats with or without provocation. Having produced easily manipulated, inexhaustible reservoirs of human robots through deliberate adulteration of Almajiri System of Islamic Education, you are emboldened to play the ostrich while the North is on fire.

“May Allah grant you the grace to retrace your steps for the benefits of the unborn generations in your various communities, amen.”

Politics / Re: Buhari/fashola Ticket: Opinion Of A SW Christian by Alisha4U(f): 4:29pm On Oct 22, 2014
rabimlomo:

How is Buhari a religious extremist? I need examples of what he did for you to hold that opinion.

At the height of the Sharia debate during the Obasanjo administration, Buhari declared that Muslims should vote only for fellow Muslims. This was politically suicidal for a man seeking national office. He became an advocate for implementation of Sharia all over Nigeria. He protested to the Oyo State governor, in the context of a dispute between Fulani herdsmen and indigenous farmers in the state, that “your people are killing my people.” This turned out to be unfounded and perhaps the reverse.
His threats during the campaign for the 2011 elections incited widespread violence in the North after he lost. His supporters went on a rampage; looting and killing; in spite of the fact that, by all accounts, the elections were adjudged the most free and fair in the history of Nigeria’s current democratic experiment. By the time the mayhem had subsided, over 1000 people had been slaughtered in cold blood and some 65,000 displaced.
Forgetting that a statement made in Hausa would readily be translated into English, Buhari later declared unapologetically in a BBC interview: “If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.” These are the tokens of an irresponsible politician, whose ambitions for power supersede the national interest. Who then are the dogs and baboons that Buhari has in mind to soak in blood if and when he loses yet again come 2015? Are they his children or are they those of others?
With the Boko Haram insurgency in the north, Buhari played to the Northern gallery yet again, calling the Jonathan government “the biggest Boko Haram.” Wole Olaniyi was a fly in the wall at a meeting in Kano Government House designed to persuade PDP rebel governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to decamp to the APC. Assuming that only Northerners were present, Buhari declared the Boko Haram was a “strategic plan” by the government of Goodluck Jonathan to “destroy the North.” When Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states, Buhari still saw this with Northern goggles, insinuating that the President is waging war on the North.
President of the North
Without a doubt, Buhari has massive support in the North. Indeed, he is the most popular Northern politician in the North today. But that precisely remains his undoing at the centre. The more he has been identified as a Northern champion, the less attractive he has become as a national choice. Even in the North, his support base is limited to the Muslim population. He does not appeal to Northern Christians. Then there is the added factor of the opposition of his implacable opponents among the Northern elite. Men like Babangida and Atiku would rather die than allow Buhari get to Aso Rock.
One thing is certain, the South-South and the South-East will not vote for Buhari in 2015. Not only that; there are no buyers for Buhari’s sectarian politics in the South-West. No matter what Tinubu might be telling him, the people of the South-West will not vote for Buhari in 2015. We already had the template in 2011, when Buhari tried to sell himself, first by balancing his ticket with a Yoruba man; and then by making sure the Yoruba man is a Christian; a pastor no less. But it just did not wash. It will not work in 2015.
The worst thing that can happen to Northern presidential aspirations in 2015 is for Buhari to be on the APC ballot. That is a sure guarantee that the North will not be providing the next president. Buhari would be a shoo-in in an election for president of Northern Nigeria. But in an election encompassing the entire country, the best he can envisage is to be a kingmaker. He cannot be king. The nearest Buhari will get to Aso Rock in 2015 is by attending the Council of State meetings.

Politics / Why Buhari Shouldn’t Contest by Alisha4U(f): 11:07am On Oct 02, 2014
Why Buhari Shouldn’t Contest – Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin
A member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, has asked a chieftain of the party, former head of state, General Muhammad Buhari, to protect his integrity by not contesting in the next elections in fulfilment of the promise he made to Nigerians in 2011.
The lawmaker, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Finance, said that at this time the elder statesman would gain more respect by supporting younger candidates in the party to run for president in the 2015 elections.
Speaking to selected journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Jibrin called on Gen Buhari to endorse any of the qualified people in the party, including the founder of LEADERSHIP Group, Sam Nda-Isaiah, and governors Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), among others to take up the opportunity.
He further said that he could also choose to persuade Speaker Aminu Tambuwal to defect from the PDP and fly the kite of the party in the presidential contest.
Stressing that he means no disrespect to the elder statesman, he said he was speaking the minds of many people.
“I believe that we have to be honest with ourselves on the issue of Gen. Buhari’s aspiration to be president; perhaps that has been the challenge of the North. I have an inner conviction about what I am saying,” Jibrin insisted, noting that those clamouring for him to run in 2015 do not really like him,” he said.
“My message to him is that he should play that tape of 2011 where he said he won’t contest again. The issue of his supporters bringing him back does not arise, otherwise, he is no different from Jonathan who said he was going to do one term in 2011 but is now running in 2015.
“Some of his supporters I spoke with told me that if he elected, he will only spend four years. But if he is going back on his 2011 pledge, how do I trust him now?”
He warned that Nigerians may begin to misinterprete that Buhari wants to be the one to be the president rather than support anyone else because he built opposition in Nigeria.
“I believe that all those calling on him to contest are his biggest enemies. Buhari is 73 years old. Take it for granted that he becomes the next president, he will be done when he will be 81. By then many generations (of politicians) would have been wiped away,” he added.

Believe me Atiku would win APC nomination. Hes better in ideology to Buhari. Atiku relates well with people of both the North and the South, some of his best friends are southerners and Christians, he has wives from the South and who are or were Christians. He has alot of bussiness interests spread across the southern part of the country. He is in the position to understand Christians and Northern minorities more than Buhari.

Buhari has made alot of inflammatory statements which has made him to be seen as a bigot by both southerners and Northern minorities. Just less than one month ago, he said "If what happened in 2011 happens again, the monkey and the pig would be soaked in blood." Imagine? With the situation of the country, yet people clap after this man. He is not a nationalist, he is a northern elder, period.

I love the way he bridges the gap between the rich and poor, giving the masses a sense of belonging unlike other leaders who act like emperors and are rarely seen in public.

How did Ifa originate?

</quote>

As I previously stated, "Ifa" is a shortened term and either there was a prefix or a postfix adjoined to it. In a discussion last year on a similar topic in the Religion section (or might have been the Cultural) I shared some insights on the genesis of Ifa. I will recount here in a summary. My knowledge of the Odus is little to nothing but I understand the skeletal framework that upholds Ifa.

First, what does Ifa mean?

To understand its meaning we should know its identity. My belief is that "Hanif" is the full term. From that term is derived "Hanifa". Hanif itself means "The Upright" or "The Righteous". This is the identity of Ifa. Each and every verse of Ifa teaches "uprightness" or "righteousness".

Hanif is an Arabic term. Wait a minute! Do not start associating Arabic with Islam in this context. I know majority of us are programmed to conclude anything Arabic as Islam.

One should wonder why a faith at the beginning of mankind should be known in a language that came much later. If Abraham practiced Ifa then we should have a corresponding term in Aramaic for Ifa.

The answer is Yes there was a corresponding term for Ifa in the semitic tongues of Afro Asia but with the sweeping effect, first, of Judaism, followed by Christianity, the practitioners went underground. When Islam came they re-emerged. It will be hard to comprehend that Islam accomodated the Hanifs and gave them sanctuary but campaigned against and even wiped out pagans and idol worshippers. This is because Hanifs did not worship idols and were not pagans, they practiced the faith of Abraham. So it is said that Abraham was himself a Hanif - a "Righteous" man.

So when did Ifa start and where did it come from?

"Righteousness" started at the beginning of creation and was an injunction to man from God giving Adam the first law - "of the trees of the garden you may eat, except two". Mankind had totally departed from "Righteousness"  in the time of Noah. The flood was thus a cleansing ritual to reborn man, but with the cleanliness God also inspired a new world order for mankind. Thus he gave to Noah a number of hidden secrets and messages for creating that new world order. This new order of Hanif or "Righteousness" came with recitals and corpus and number counts. This is the new beginning of a new Hanif and this where the Ifa corpus and verses came from.

I will stop here momentarily for questions.

It is not by accident that

What is wrong with these people?

NegroNtns: Sango was a ruler of Oyo empire and was later deified after death.

On Ifa and its origin, I am of the opinion that it originated as one of the secrets given by God to Noah in the template handed down for the Ark.

Ask Pastor AIO, I'm sure he has a different and more specific origin to reference.

Like I said what I gave you is just my opinion and is formed from my understanding of the Torah, Bible and the Quran.

Ifa was with mankind before Abraham (AS) was even born, I said to clarify any thought of believing Ifa was derived from any of the scriptures. It existed before them!

Matter of fact some of the rituals of Ifa is also present in Islam as well as Judaism.

I tend to agree with you. Ifa is not only a God among the Yorubas but even among the Igalas uptill now.

“The house has a god committed to its protection” – Abdul Muttalib 570 AD

This article sheds some light on chapter 105, otherwise known as ‘surat Al feel’ ( Arabic for elephant) which is one of those short chapters at the end of the Quran. Being short, Muslims learn to read those chapters by heart so they can use them in their daily prayers. The entire chapter is dedicated to an event that allegedly took place in Arabia around 570 AD, the same birth year of Mohammed. This sura is another salient example that when the Muslims read the Quran, their brains automatically shut down.

The background story of ‘surat al feel’, is also known to all Muslims. In short: Yemen was a territory of the Empire of Abyssinia and was governed by a Christian leader called ‘Abraha’. Being a devoted Christian, Abraha was disappointed to see that most Arab tribes did not convert to Christianity and continued to practice their pagan religions and perform pilgrimage to that cube-shaped house in Mecca called ‘Ka’aba’, which was stuffed with hundreds of statues called ‘Asnam’. To deter the Arabs from such a pagan practice, Abraha built a large church in Yemen and invited the Arabs to worship god in that church. However, the Arabs continued their pagan practices and ignored the church.

Frustrated by the Arabs’ response, Abraha decided to demolish the idols stuffed Ka’aba. He organized an army to carry out the task. Strangely, the army included an elephant as Arabia is not a habitat for elephants. The army set a camp outside Mecca, which had a chief named Abdul Muttalib, who became Mohammed’s grand father only a few weeks later. The story goes that Abdul Muttalib asked to meet Abraha in his camp. Abraha obliged and treated Abdul Muttalib with all respect, at least initially, and asked him what were his demands. Abdul Muttalib demanded the release of his camels, which were confiscated by the army. Abraha was disgusted by the request and said to Abdul Muttalib: “ What a disgraceful request; I thought you came to negotiate something for your people in order to save the Ka’aba”. Abdul Muttaleb’s reply was “the house (Ka’aba) has a god to protect it”.

To normal people, Abdul Muttalib was a selfish coward who cared about his camels more than about his tribe. However, The Muslims do not see it that way; in fact the cowardice and selfishness part of the story is completely outside their field of vision. On reading the story, the Muslims’ minds centre of attention is on Abdul Muttaleb’s reply to Abraha, which reflected a good faith in Allah. They are so impressed that the reply became well known words of wisdom in the Arabic language! Allah did not disappoint Abdul Muttalib as Abraha’s army was attacked by waves after waves of birds carrying in their peaks hot killer stones. Some claim the stones were sourced from hell. The army suffered of heavy losses and was forced to retreat and the Ka’aba, with all its collection of idols, was saved. Recently, a Saudi person claimed that he found one of those ‘sijeel’ stones, as the Quran described them, ready with two drawings on it, one for a bird and another for an elephant. Subhana Allah!

The story is nice except that none of the details can be verified. It looks as if Allah may have over reacted to Abraha’s threat because the army did not even reach Mecca. But to those who may plan to inflict any damage to the Ka’aba, the message was clear: “think again”. And that was the lesson to learn from the ‘al Feel’ incident – Allah is committed to the protection of his house. Consequently, the Muslims are confident that Allah would not allow his house to be harmed in anyway. They believe that Allah would react in anger and annihilate those who may plot something against the Ka’aba, America and Israel included. The fact that the Ka’aba is still standing safe is a living reminder that Allah will protect his house in the future as he always did in the past.

If Muslims read history with open minds, they may learn something else from ‘al Feel’ incident. They may notice that Allah sided by the Kuffar against the Christians, who were the people of the book. That fact defies the Islamic logic and principles. When the incident was over, it was the Kuffar who were jubilant because Allah saved their Asnam!

The story of ‘As-habul feel’(the people of the elephant) is mentioned in all Islamic tafseer and history books. It portrays Abraha as a devoted Christian whose mission was to destroy the icon of paganism- that massive collection of Asnam ( idols) housed inside that cube shaped building in Mecca. Actually, he was a kind of ‘Christian jihadist’ who intended to do precisely what Mohammed did after conquering Mecca. Why did Allah destroy Abraha, but sided by Mohammed when he did the same a few decades later? Was he a pagan god who converted to Islam?

There was nothing extraordinary in Allah’s intervention in ‘al Feel’ conflict; that particular god is known to interfere in human conflicts. The Muslims know that Allah often sides by them when they are at war. They also know that when he doesn’t (which is often the case) that it is because they have not been implementing Islam in a proper way. The Quran reported that Allah deployed three thousands of his angels to fight alongside the Muslim army in the battle of ‘Badr’ in 624 AD. The Muslim army won the battle decisively, thanks to the angels’ battalion.

The house was not protected

The Ka’aba is Allah’s house on earth, which he owned for thousands of years. It was designed and built by his friend, Ibrahim. We do not know how Allah protected that house before the year 570 AD, but we know that the property needed some kind of protection all the time because it was badly abused in various ways. If you don’t like snakes, just imagine how would you feel if somebody brings hundreds of them to your house. Allah hates ‘Asnam’ (idols) more than anything, it is his phobia, yet the pagans desecrated his own house by keeping in it hundreds of all kinds of Asnam! It cannot get more offending than that.

Did Allah do anything about it other than turning a blind eye? History is silent in that area but apparently no actions were taken.

Most Muslims believe that after what happened to ‘As-habul Feel’ nobody dared to attack the Ka’aba to avoid a similar fate. To those Muslims, I present the following collection of incidents. Obviously, Abraha was not the last person to destroy the Ka’aba, others were far more successful.

The Umayyad Army at the time of Caliph. Yazid Ibn Moaweya destroyed the Ka’aba in the year 683 AD after bombarding it with catapult. The wood structure within the building caught fire as a result of the bombarding, and the building collapsed. As a result of fire, the black stone was broken into three pieces. The Umayyad army, ruled from Damascus, succeeded in capturing both cities of Mecca and Madina. The army did not encounter any arial attacks from birds and returned to Damascus safely.

In 692/693 AD (74 Hijra) Al Hajaj ibn Yousef, with the approval of Caliph Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan, attacked Mecca and pounded the Ka’aba with catapult causing its destruction. Al Hajaj and his army returned to their bases safely and victorious without encountering any aerial attacks.

In 930 AD, during Hajj time, Mecca was attacked by a radical group called the Qarmatians ( pronounced “Qaramitah” in Arabic. They were initially based in Bahrain). They killed a large number of the pilgrims and dumped them in the Zamzam Well, and looted the black stone. It took the Muslims 20 years to recover the stone, which was found in Eastern Arabia. That said, nobody actually can be sure if the recovered stone was the real one. The Qarmatians carried out mass murders on a massive scale against innocent pilgrims and destroyed the Ka’aba. They managed to return to their basis in Eastern Arabia safely and, again, without encountering any aerial attacks.

Over the years, the Kaaba was also subjected to abuse by mother nature, through floods and fire, without any protection from Allah. The Ka’aba suffered badly of floods and caught fire before Mohammed claimed to be a prophet. It is claimed that Mohammed helped in positioning the black stone when the Quraish rebuilt the structure. Again, In 1039 the walls of Kaaba collapsed as a result of heavy rain and floods.

Must you tell lies to pass a statement ?

Saying you are who you are not.

Smh.

Na wa for you oh, I can see you strongly believe that someone who was a JW would not and cannot become a Catholic. You have to understand that most JW in Nigeria converted from other churches or religions, so whats wrong when someone who was brought up a catholic, attended a boarding secondary school, associated with JW fellow students and eventually got converted, spent 25 yrs being JW after conversion and the returned to church of his childhood? hun?

The scenario i just painted is fictitive though but is not possible? Free the Op and face the issues. Note; I am not in support of the op, I believe religion is not objective, the earlier we realise it the better, I believe the watchword should be live and let live.
