Liardon: Abuja, shouldn’t be the question, is your mind still lucrative, that’s the right question Of course, why wouldn't it? It's like his mind is made up already and his only issue is what he stated above... what do you mean by " is his mind still lucrative" BTW?? |
Business › Re: Is Abuja Still Lucrative For Business? by aliyuabbaashiru(m): 1:07am On Jul 30, 2020 |
Well, if it's true your accommodation is guaranteed, then no worries at all you've solved 75% of Abuja's problems. The next thing's getting a Shop/Space (keeping in mind there'll be a few taxes and levies because IGR is taking very very very seriously)... Basically if you have all the above, you'll find business in Abuja both conducive and of course rewarding... Cheers and good luck... iamadonis2: I run a business in a small city. Right now, I'm planning to relocate to Abuja (accommodation guaranteed) and possibly relocate my business to Abuja.
My concern is, with the attendant cost of living and running a business in Abuja, will I still be assured of high revenue and profit for my business? |
Politics › Re: NDDC Interim Management Fails To Explain N143bn Budget Shortfall by aliyuabbaashiru(m): 12:59pm On Jul 15, 2020 |
What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If you talk about dasukigate you mention Jonathan's government. Buhari's government should take the fall for these atrocities. tesppidd: I just knew that somehow you would tie this to Buhari. But don't get me wrong, Buhari has got the responsibility to check the NNDC.
But is this probe not part of the checks and balances of the Buhari administration?
Or are you now going to divorce the Senate from Buhari?
The anti corruption war is not for Buhari alone. It will take more than a man to fight corruption in Nigeria. Buhari alone cannot fight the corruption in one state out of 36. Talkless of the entire country.
The anti corruption war is for the Senate, the Reps, the Judiciary, the presidency, you and me.
I had expected you to begin your rant from point A where you should begin but you jumped to point D.
Point A is the NDDC mangement and the Niger Delta leaders. Since we are talking abiut the NDDC specifically here.
The people of the Niger Delta have had all the wealth in the country but with very little developments. And so the NDDC is created.
The leaders of the Niger delta which make up less than 1 percent of the population embezzle 90 percent of the funds.
A drive into Port Harcourt city and the GRA areas where these NDDC big shots live would prove it to you. What you find are mansions, expensive cars, big generators, and all manner of affluence.
And when the Niger Delta people want to complain, first thing they say is Buhari Buhari.
I believe a fresh orientation is required. The primary injustice they face lives right with them.
Their own leaders are the major ones causing their poverty. They say charity begins at home.
The Niger Delta must hold the NDDC and their Niger Delta leaders accountable first before holding the FG. This cannot be allowed to continue. This is nothing but betrayal amongst siblings. |

The money you get from crude oil in say Rivers or bayelsa isnt the same with what you get in Abia state. GEEBITE: So cocoa, palm oil, rubber grown in the south are not agriculture right? |
Politics › Re: FG, States, LGs Share ₦547 Bilion As May Federation Allocation by aliyuabbaashiru(m): 5:26pm On Jun 18, 2020 |
It's not about dwelling in the past you know, it's About history, without which Nigeria or infact mankind is lost...i agree the north isn't improving rather we are retrogressing... Ayobami97: Sir, stop dwelling in the past. Whether or not the north was a bill payer in the past doesn't make any difference as long they are not improving presently. |
Politics › Re: FG, States, LGs Share ₦547 Bilion As May Federation Allocation by aliyuabbaashiru(m): 5:22pm On Jun 18, 2020 |
All the regioñs where self running you say, on what exactly? You should also know that the checks and balances comes after revenue generation. From what? Agriculture. GEEBITE: Fallacy you have been fed with. The north never picked the bill of the south. In fact south was amalgamated with north to make up for the deficit the colonial masters were having running administration of the north(i.e to balance the books). Later at independence all the regions (North,West&East) were self running and semi autonomous and only paid taxes to the center. |

chrisxxx: You don't seem to understand this as this statement looks ambiguous. The 37 billion to each state or cumulatively to all the oil producing states that are about 10 in number? its not, really. 10 or 6 which ever, each state get atleast 4 billion extra. |
Politics › Re: FG, States, LGs Share ₦547 Bilion As May Federation Allocation by aliyuabbaashiru(m): 6:49am On Jun 18, 2020 |
I totally agree with all you've said but i have a problem with the last part in your write up. Back when the north pays all OUR bills from agriculture before crude oil it didn't see the rest of the region as a burden innit. Now how fair do you think you've sounded? pol23: All this states does is just pay salary... No plan,no strategic investment to boost their IGR.... Even Lagos with the biggest IGR is just lucky due to the federal infrastructure when Lagos was the capital...Ever since 1999 no Government in Lagos state has done a major project... If Sanwolu can actually complete the monorail that will be the first major project since 1999...while the state has over N30 bn monthly IGR..it's a big slap on our face. ...Sadly those oil rich state should bow their heads in shame too... Comparing their monthly allocation With their size and population ,Oyo state shouldn't come close to any of them, but Sadly it's only Rivers that can stand with OYO...their governors will THIEF all the money and they will tell their indigenes its FG's Fault... FG is bad,but with the huge allocations those Niger Delta state has, they should be able to function and run excellently without extra help from FG.... Lastly all those stupid local goverment chairman should be hang with their balls... Alimosho LG in Lagos receives over N800,000,000.00 monthly and absolutely nothing to show for it... Eto-Osa receives over N450,000,000.00 and I haven't seen a single project by the local government in my over 5 years of living and working within this axis. If we actually tackle this stupid people at the root, our problem will be half solved... Last last.... Oyo state built the then tallest building in Africa (Cocoa house) with the proceeds from cocoa and other agricultural produce in 1965...Over 50 years ago... and now they can't even get N1 billion naira from Agriculture a month in 2020...The business that yielded so much money 50 years ago should almost be as big the Crude oil exports... I hope Seyi Makinde can revive that industry.... Crude oil in the Niger Delta region is the cause of our problem and it's a blessing with many CURSE... Then we also have the Northern states that are nothing but a burden... As poor as Zamfara state is,they allocated a billion naira for graveyard maintenance Sometimes last year..and I almost cry when I read the news...it's sad,it's sad,it's sad. |

Regardless if he's contesting again or not APC should be ashamed of themselves for parading such a man as it's national chairman. There's no gainsaying there all the same then... ejimatic: . When Oshiomole wants to contest again his credentials should be examined . as it was done to Diri a serving senator for two times only to be disqualified by SC now. |
