To be sincere, I totally understand what you mean and I have seen so many people with this same issue. I also believe God has a reason for you starting this thread.

Most times, many Christians say I love God but I don't like attending churches because of this and that. Well, let me just ask this question, if you really claim you love God, why don't you want to get closer to him and know him better with others in the same pursuit?

A church is just like a community to help one another, just like career community or something like that. It is about fellowshipping with like minded individuals to understand indeed the entity you believe in.

Certainly, you might be the type that reads the Bible, but I believe if you study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, then you'd really yearn of God and love Him with the whole of you heart and thus lead you to the pursuit of who God really is.

It doesn't matter how much you know of the Bible, there are several others that know so much more and have had amazing experiences with the Holy Spirit which can help your faith also.

It's very obvious the Jesus knew the disciples could not survive in isolation and that was why he told them to gather together in one accord in the upper room. Trust me, if they were all staying differently, and each saying I believe in Jesus' just in the comfort of their homes alone, the promise they were expecting wouldn't have come.

Another reason why we gather is because we can't all be weak at the same time, you might be facing a particular challenge but there might be someone else available that has experienced something every worse than that, but by hearing the testimony of that person, then definitely you can get strengthened.
