Gideonyte: My man, im not a bigot nor a tribalist, I hate tribalism that's why i'm even commenting here. I just present the facts because iv worked on volumes assessment of most of these fields, so i present facts without revealing proprietary information.I understand your point and that is why I love Ijaw people. People air their views at times although it might seem painful but you just have to accept it. El- rufia is being castigated here daily although I know El-rufia but they they castigate him, all I can do is watch. I don't go tribal or defensive about it. a lot of politicans have helped my family and some are also from my ethnic group but I try my best not to defend them on Nairaland or even outside because I try to put myself in other people's shoes. Infact my family member (a politican) has been insulted here on Nairaland. People branded him a thief etc even though I know he is not but what can I say ? All I can do is watch as people air their views What I am trying to say here is that you should allow people to air their views without adding any ethnic dimension to it. As for the oil companies, they are private companies and as such they have no tribal affliction. |
Typical shameless Northerner dodging the issue and attacking the straw man. I guess God designed illiteracy specially for your miserable pauper tribe
Can you shut it, why not start a topic of someone killing other instead of "Wicked muslims" You see how ideeiotic it sounds ? ![]() |
Hahaha! Another classic attempt at trying to bring Igbo people in every issue. But I'm glad your con has totally played out. Anyway, it's only a matter of years before you're all officially crippled by polio and leprosy, so I guess that's a good reason for me to rejoice
yes I have to added Igbo to it because it seems you Igbos just enjoy any form of conflict among Nigeria groups. How does this topic = Yoruba party ?It shows how bigoted you lot are, You added yourselves to it not me. |
Flyboy Zee: My Brother! I sincerely agree with you, but, what you should know is that the Ijaws are not tribalists, nepotists or bigots, they are open-minded people that believe that human live should be improved upon every minute that passes and not to argue mundane things that bears us no good.My brother, I understand your anger but if they term GEJ as drunken fisherman, it does not change anything either is it regarded as an insult to Ijaw nation. It is politics and people insult others to score cheap points. In Nigeria, a president go through a lot of trails but we should learn NOT TO INTERFERE our tribal politics with National issues. Again, Yorubas are also free minded people (mie ebi) just like the Ijaws and Hausa. I must admit they insult a lot, but just like every group in Nigeria they also have their own error. Lets enjoy our Nigeria and not fight because of some selfish individuals. Tamarakile Gej is the president, |
Let me give the Bigots some example of disgraced Nigerian president 1. OBJ was a Nigerian president and was beating by A YORUBA MAN in MMIA 2. OBJ was stoned with pure water in Anambra (should the "yoruba nation" have come out to shout hailstorm ?) 3. Yaradua was called yara slow, dumb etc before he died (should fulani come and say fulani nation ?) 4. IBB has gone through a lot even till this day from all corner of the nation 5. Abacha was actually murdered by IBB so as to free Nigerian and not Hausa nation or Yoruba nation I can keep going on and on, you have to understand that the hardwork of making "your son" the president has already been done, Now is the time to leave him to the NATION so he can do his job GEJ is not a child or a baby you would protect, GEJ just like other and future Nigerian president would got through a lot of hardship and insults till they leave the office and even after they leave they would still be blamed That is the nature of ruling Nigeria. |
And the OP would call himself Hausa muslim, LOL Iddeiotic Igbo again ![]() |
lacasa: U see, that is d problem wen u bring dark people into the limelight. Now that GEJ is president we now here terms like IJAW NATION. So nigeria is now Ijaw nation that this peoople will be saying nonsense cos them get one. Of their ownn as president.you get my sentiment, Gbammm |
To the Ijaw nation, bietebe keme ama miengha I hope you understand what that means, you need others as well. |
Ijaw people have done the hardwork by voting and wooing others to vote for GEJ to be the president. Now it is time for them to relax and push GEJ to 1. Move the Oil company to Ijawland 2. Build schools, road etc in Ijawland 3. Push for the right revenue to go to the grassroot people in Ijawland Because if you do not ask for these thing, Other regions would ask for their own cut. You cannot say because GEJ is Ijaw, he should not be castigated or pushed to do the right thing. I am sorry we are not in military rule but democratic and infact OBJ and Yaradua went through hell as well so stop this tribal politics being played here. Oil comes from Ijawland, Yes and So !!! Why not push GEJ to change revenue allocation which he has done etc to favour una, stop blaming others for that. You also have to be calculative here, People (apart from Igbos and ijaws) are seeing GEJ more of a tribal president rather than a National president even among the South-south groups like Agbor, Ibibio etc (I spoke to an Agbor man yesterday about it) Lets be real here, if you keep coming to the defence of GEJ rather than the people, GEJ would be losing more and more power !!!! Wake up before it is too late. GEJ presidency is not only for GEJ but also a correct evaluation for future president from that region. |
As for my Igbo brothers dancing with joy that ijaw and yoruba disagreement and also seeding the seed of hate among the two like they did with the north and yoruba, Know something that patient has it's limit. |
amosy007: do u have problem with reading? I said ruled by acn i didnt say yoruba... Am from edo and i prefer to associate with yoruba than any other tribe in nigeria,. Get that straight into ur hard skullThank you, let this iddeeiots know |
Flyboy Zee: You are right on point, Brother. If all the oil companies relocate away from Lagos to where they have their highest operations, lets see how these moffos will be screaming "Lagos State generates the highest revenue in Nigeria".Abeg go chill jare Maybe it is high time Ijaw people realise that GEJ is not for Ijaw but for Nigerians. This term "our oil" "our son" etc it is really annoying and the blackmail has to end. For all I care the so called Oil companies can relocate, it does not matter or change anything, just stop this rubbish ok !!!! Ijawland is not the only land that produce oil, yoruba and Igbo land does as well. As for the Lagos talk, ignore the bigot although he has some points !!! I hope to hear your reply ! |
antartica: It is time they change that name victoria to jimoh island,or rather Fela or gani island.does it matter ? |
@Negro ntns Every society experience on form of "ill treatment" or the other. It is not really worth forming a topic about it. Even the the western nation, blondes and ginger are viewed different from the others. |
@ OP Allison and co are in charge, they remove the fuel subsidy so the people can suffer but they cannot even account for NNPC monthly money. What a shame |
wesley80: Yawnsssssssssssssss!!! Desperate times these are for some folks. You have to admit your statement is a bit daf.t Some folks are talking Nigeria money to train their OWN children to America, etc even using private jets while you using bigotry you are defending them ? Yes truly Nigerians can be daf.t at time. In fact you are the one desperately trying to defend corruption because with your post and your previous post, One can tell that you are not even bothered that NNPC can not even provide her monthly expenditure and profit. |
lol see how jason dey vex wetin do you |
Lots of thoughtful inputs suggesting a reinvention of the wheel. Not that doing so is bad, but without eliminating the root cause of why Igbo has been kept out for this long, the reinvented wheel will work for a while and then in the long run end up in just the same dead corner that you find yourself now. I am sure the North and the West are sensitive and they understand the situation and can reasonably comprehend the injustice of presidential politics without Igbo people. However, which one of you know for a fact that Hausa/Fulani will yield the spot for an Igbo president to emerge or that Yoruba will sit out a turn so an Igbo person can become president? It is not going to happen! You, ndigbo must not ask for any of the other people to sit out their turn or yield the spot for you; that will be a hopeless expectation. Ndigbo have some strengths but you also have some weaknesses and unfortunately politicking happens to be one of those weaknesses. Ndigbo or the East has produced more vice presidents and senate presidents than West. So in actuality, you had been in executive power far more times than West. . . . so what has prevented your emergence into the top position? I refuse to believe that the North and West colluded to block your entrance, you were already in. West has produced only one vice president and its the same person that has been recycled twice as president. Sonekan was an interim president and his term was short lived. West has never produced a vp under a civilian regime for any of the republics since our independence. So in actuality if any region deserve the presidential spot in 2015, its West, barring which the vp position must come to West irrespective of which non-Yoruba zone produces the president. . . . .so, truly, ndigbo needs to search inhouse and pinpoint what you are doing wrong. Why are you so close, yet so far away from the top?
hmmmm |
LOL, @ strange language. Who cares about the language ?? we are talking about the poor security of our nation, people are talking about language here / |
afam4eva: I'm actually referring to the adulterated yoruba that's spoken by Yoruba youths in Lagos.Ha, You mean the slangs they use ? Yes you are right it is different |
Right. But the trade-off is not Yoruba+Igbo versus just Yoruba alone. It is Yoruba + being good at enough at math so that physics is not challenging for you. So that you can fulfill your dream of being a medical doctor by doing well in your pre-med requirements (ok, not quite sure if physics is mandatory to become a doctor in naija, but you get the idea.) Or fulfill your dream of being an engineer, scientist, etc. Basically, there are a limited number of hours a student has during primary and secondary school. You need to make those hours count.
My friend dapo, I think it is about exposure. Yes you are right but also it would not take you anything to learn from others as well. |
