Wallie:
So far, it seems that the only people that gets noticed and pacified are those that cause serious mayhem. It is clear that the government is weak and would rather buy people off than to solve the problems that caused people to revolt in the first place.

There is zero doubt that the ND region is in need of dire infrastructure development and the money being channeled over there by the Federal government evaporates into thin air. However, paying a group of people off will not solve the real problems caused by decades of neglect.

All the militants that are currently being trained will need to apply their skills somewhere. And even if they become employed, they will want a better life for their families. They will need roads, schools, hospitals, clean water etc.

The biggest mistake that the government is making is publicizing how the militants are being pacified. Everyone now knows that “crime pays.”

Why should MASSOB not arm themselves? Why should Boko Haram not keep bombing until the Fed caves in?
jason123:
Mister, please keep quiet because you are starting to come off as an unintelligent fellow.

Prove evidence of OBJ dashing Oil wells. . . . You are not talking to your siblings or babies, you know? About Odi and co, sue him or do whatever, no one would care.

About Tinubu, in as much as that man is a nuisance, why didn't the FG arrest him? Why was left that easily? Same goes for Bankole. . . Prosecute and jail them if they did something wrong. If not, keep quiet!

Again, ethnicity comes to play. Okay, the problem with"Igbos" is that you have no principles. Anywhere belle face politicians. Does that sound reasonable to you?

Well, I hope the food we are currently cooking explode in our faces. After all, 2015 is almost here.
See, it's is things like these that flame the tribal war.

No offense but why do you feel it neccesary to make this statement? Do you really think there is someone out there who doesn't know why Igbos "hate" Yorubas and vice versa?  huh huh

You come on a thread and post your one liners which on the surface looks like it's nothing but goes a long way to push people's buttons. Watch an Igbo person, who probably had no intention of posting on this thread until he saw your post, come now and start with the "Yes ooh, Yoruba people did us bad during the war and why should we envy them? We are the bestest in everything" then a Yoruba person, who obviously can't let that go, comes on and  "Who sent you to go fight war? You people are so delusional, best in what?". . . and before you can say "Alj Harem, where art thou" the entire thread has gone downhill with insults flying all over the place.

Neutral you say? https://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/23.gif
That is the problem, the thread was going down this path before I even came. Do you want me to keep quite when they are trying to make a military or Obasanjo affire into a yoruba ethnic group affire.

If Propaganda is left for too long it becomes the truth. Go back to first few comments, You would see my stance and it is clear without an iota of biased statement. Now they first comments was

manchy7531:
Finally someone is going back to were he belong.he must be made to pay the full price.silly old yoruba man.
then solomon111

you tell me as an educated person, A president must he have an ethnic affiliation or not ? it is not secret that gani adam who happens to be the OPC leader was imprisoned for 2 years during OBJ era

it is no secret that soldiers were killed at Odi and militancy started from there

It is no secret that will people cheer Mend, Massob etc on yorubas don't like OPC hausa don't like Boko haram

yet we blame them for all this.

If I allow the propaganda to continue the effect would not be felt now but later

A poster said "No wonder why igbos hate yorubas"

Did Igbo posters not see the comment and disclaim it ? But yes it is always alj haram

That is hypocricy which shows they actual hate the yorubas because if you don't you would disclaim it immediately. No one wants a lie to be associated with them

I remember during the protest, Ijaws on Nairaland clearly condemned the military invasion in lagos and kano

I remember during OBJ, Yorubas clearly condemned the military invasion in odi and benue

Now Northerners are saying they have nothing to do with Boko haram

Lets call a spade a spade, If they cannot disclaim it; it means they do hate yorubas. It is quite shocking I must say. not withstanding I would not allow lies to go on I have a conscience.

1. Obasanjo does not represent Yorubas unless they are supporting him which they are not .

2. Igbos are inciting hate on the yorubas in the hope that genocide happens to them, Reason I do not know

3. Abacha did a similar thing against the yorubas, No one spoke

4. People should point out when yorubas have killed soldiers sent by the president

5. The true double speakers here are igbos because, they want the whole country to be against yoruba. Again the reason i do not know. All I know for now is all dayz are for the thief one day is for the owner.

6. The Igbos have not pointed out the bendel masscare they did against mid-westerners but are quick to point others out. Is that not hypocritical ?

Imo house with high possibility of abandonment, especially knowing how Nigeria is, should be a house you wouldn't missed or put in a dent in your wallet especially if it is in another person's land.  The guy and all the people he represent are big fools. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I feel no sympathy for him. This is why I admire my neighbors back home, when they used to live up north and lagos they lived in an apartment even though they had money to waste on an expensive home.
You know what I find amazing ?

The way Nigerians would buy houses in USA, UK etc and their own country they are afraid.

When you talk of another person's land what do you mean. If you buy ur house in USA today would you claim it is ur land or America land ?

Lets be truthful to ourselves, people in Nigeria are relaxing now . the reality is completely different from NL

Take this example

If I am Nupe and I have lived in Enugu all my life, I would rather buy a house there than keep renting.

Ofcourse if you have the money to buy a very expensive house, then more grease

But if any funny person thinks he can take another man's property, then I tell you the person is in for the biggest shock of his/her life.

you even went along to credit nollywood to yorubas and compare it with yoruba movies, to be honest these insults are just too much and well we deserve it but time is ticking be prepared to take care of your almajiros  without oil handouts when the time comes.
You see what I meant and that is why I did not answer your question initially

What do you want ? Do you want me or anyone to say without another ethnic group, Lagos would just die ? NO we need to accommodate the effort of others

Now Nollywood was started by Ogunde it is a well known fact unless you want to be mischievous. I never compared English nollywood to yoruba because I suppose the english sells more than the yoruba.

Also I never said Igbos were only in the micro economy. I say where they control. yes

Secondly, I stopped supporting Southern Nigeria because of what I call irreconciable differences between Igbo and Yoruba. Anioma should join the East), or outright Igboland on the East comprising of the whole of Igboland from SE and SS. I can also accept a "Southern Nigeria" minus the Yoruba. you just confirmed what i said ,these companies dont belong to yorubas and the ones that do like glo and oando got the money from the same oil from the east  so i ask you again take away all that and tell me what yorubas contribute to lagos or nigeria.
meanwhile your propagnda will never work everybody knows apart from oil from south south and south east igbos are the major contributor to all the meduim ,micro and macro economy in lagos, abujuja and nigeria  , i bet you forgot to mention igbo owned multinationls like coshcharis, capital oil, transcorp(all the hilton hotels) mtn, visa phone, zenith bank<should i continue .

ingrates i dont blame you we spoon feed you that why you get mouth to talk , meanwhile nollywood is now the 2nd largest movie industry in the world in terms of output. all the machines you drive are manufactured by igbos go and count them (except those indian ones), the motor spare parts are produced by igbos, look man i dont have time you na only mouth una get ,show us solid proof of your so called contribution both in lagos and in nigeria.
Hmm  you just want me to go down this route

Well I would tell you categorically that it is lie

1. Globacom is a telecom company thus how could he have taken eastern money. Moreover it started in Lagos.

2. Onado drill is in lagos at IV, that is the picture taken by Jason. other branches are in avocados  and delta of which are itsekiri and ilajeland. thus it is not east.

3. Microeconomy is dominated by the Igbos not Macro, sparepart, CD etc sellers don't pay much tax and some even evade tax. This even you are well aware of it.

4. Not all the oil is found in the east. again when a lie goes on for too long it seems truthful.

5. Coscharis is not macro it is micro because it does not pay much and does not have much revenue. Coscharis only has a branch in Lagos thus it does not pay tax http://www.coscharisgroup.net/distributors_locator.php

6. Capital Oil is their ofcourse which is also small compare to others eg Onado again

7. You do not spoon feed us. WE HAVE AND WE WOULD NEVER BEG ANYONE TO STAY OR LEAVE. You spoon feed yourselves and we are not complaining. Again Lagos has showed to survive with or without Igbos. What you are doing here is pomposity or vainglory

                        a. during the civil war when Igbos left, lagos was surviving
                        b. the yearly migration to the east. Lagos still survive
                        c. During the last census that igbos went back to their state knowing full well that the allocations from the FG is based on population. Lagos still accommodate the excess and still surviving

8. Nollywood is divided to the English(dominated by igbos) and the yoruba cannot give credit to the igbos. Nollywood was started by a yorubaman. Moreover the revenue generated from nollywood from CDs is not in lagos but in aba and onitsha.

9. No machine is manufacture by igbo. the only machine we use are imported ones. What are you talking about.

10. motor spare parts is part of the micro economy. again most are task evaders . thus we depend on the folawoyo, dangote, silverbird, onado etc

[b]Now when the topic was started yesterday I decided to let it go but now you brought it up. It is a shame because I thought you all were joking

1. Cocoa produced in Ondo output is about 230,000 tonness, or almost six percent of global production, according to Marex Spectron Group Ltd. in London.

2. Rubber in Ondo and Ogun which is also one of our major export

3. Timber

4. Labour

5. Bitumenx which is also refereed to as heavy oil is found in the SW nigeria. Infact the third largest deposite of bitumen in the world is found in Ondo, Ogun and Edo axis. Let me remind you that Canada economy is dependent on bitumen

6. The famous oil. Yes found in Lagos and ondo. Infact Yorubaland does not stop their, western delta which is also 75 % of oil found in delta.

7. Major developmental companies that changed Nigeria for good, Onado, Globacom, HiTv of course there or others but I said major

8. Cattle and other food product in kwara

9. cashew in SW kogi

10. Intellectuals in Nigeria Wole who happens to be the only african to ever win a noble price. You can tell them that at work. LOL

11. The famous NTA which was WNTV before in the western region

12. Seaport built by the british

13. provides education majority of educational resources for Nigeria apart from zaria

14. Gold in illesha

15. the country's largest limestone deposite in ogun and Kogi

16. Yam and cassava production in osun and ekiti

on and on.

Now tell me if they have not tried.
