bankole200:Bros, I would advise that if you are new in the business terrain, please tread carefully. Your best bet as a beginner in this economy is to invest in FMCG trading. This has always been my advice to everyone interested in venturing into business; 1. Step One; Pick up your 2 Million and divide it into 4 places. Save 75% (1.5 Mill) in some realistic and traditional investment platform. 2. Step Two; Identify a new FMCG product and conduct a viability survey in your neighbourhood. this implies that you buy a few of the products and try distributing it in your neighbourhood. Believe me honestly, if you have the strength to persevere and be consistent and of course if the product is good and in hot demand, I assure you that you will smile to the banks. 3. Step Three; Expand cautiously. This involves expanding the scope of your business with another tranche of investment capital. Good luck, if you need a detailed plan and a list of products you can invest in then you may send me a a dm or email. Please note however that my exchange with you will be limited to only email correspondence and my advice is completely free. |
yolkman20:Do you have plain ones. I would like to combine some plain colours and try them out. Please respond here. |
delawal:It beats me that you expect that someone will come up here and publish a worthwhile idea for the consumption of the general public. If you read carefully through the posts, you will be able to discern those among the posters who may have something viable and worthwhile. It is the hallmark of true and experienced investors to possess the ability to discern clues and hints from what may appear ordinary to the regular Nairander. It is this attribute that sets him apart. A true businessman cannot present his vulnerability while soliciting ideas and will only invest his/her hard earned funds in a really objectively appraised model...and will also be willing to take full responsibility for the outcomes. Scams are very avoidable. |
OtunbaBlack:It appears there is only one pad. I am offering 20k last. |
kayemjay:Absolute trash. Who goes through an absolute makeover of an old home with a new wife without discarding the old furnishings, curtains inclusive. No woman inherits a husband, home together with the interiors. A most definite reminder of her predecessor. |
Quite an interesting thread. Suffice to say I am hooked. |
niyidenrele:Send me your resume (vikbiz2011@gmail.com). I will link you with someone in Ibadan. His being able to help you will be a function of your specific location within the city. Ibadan is a really large setting and proximity to your office/business is very important. Please I make no promises, I will only make an attempt and hope for the very best. |
niyidenrele:Would you be interested in doing something outside teaching? |
niyidenrele:Location Please? |
Sweetdream13:I suggest that you take this offer (the bolded) for now and continue the search. I think you should even consider yourself lucky judging from your post above. It is always better to have some income that you can use for the basics. Remember that you need data to come to Nairaland and to send your applications. You will also need to have your transport fare handy to attend interviews ......if and when invited. Use the offer today as a springboard to something better in the future. |
CandiceJay:Beautiful write-up. So how do people interested in helping you get in touch? |
Employment in a Private School is just like any other employment by any other profit driven private organisation. It is a necessary bridge to greater things in the future. While I do concede that many private School owners can be demons, i would also like to let you know that the work ethic of the Nigerian graduate is also below par. The private school owner experiences a day to day struggle until he attains some socio-economic balance. Until then, he really can only give out what he can...including the rather obnoxious but logical resort to paying salaries during the school term. Cut them some slack. They may not be perfect but they have taken a number of people off the street. At some point they will be forced by competition to treat their staff well. Life is indeed perfect. |
Doktajay5:Please revisit the bolded. I do not support devilish treatment of employees, neither do I encourage recalcitrant behaviour. I have been on both sides of the spectrum and I can assure you that it swings both ways. On the one hand no company treats a super performing staff with ignominy at least in the Private Sector. In the majority of cases (most definitely not all cases) the staff who complain about bad treatment from management are underperforming dead wood in the system and perhaps considered a drain on the system but yet cannot be disengaged for reasons not bordering on objectivity. I am yet to see a focussed staff who overdelivers who will be treated bestially. Certain elements in management may hate his guts but the performance driven lad/lass will be an untouchable. |
Ugosample:Bros, in this country and in our present circumstances, you ignore this admonition to your peril. |
smasher1:You forgot to add that some are operating in a near comatose state with heavy debt burdens and very demanding circumstances. It is only those who have never run a business that will complain about any organization that manages to pay her staff in this economy. For your information, I know of a very visibly attractive IT company that takes an overdraft monthly on the 2nd day of each month just to effect their payroll. This has been ongoing since 2016. They barely break even but the promoters are working very hard to reposition things without showing any of the staff the door. Again, try opening a provisions kiosk like the neighbourhood Aboki and pay salaries from the proceeds made for at least one year befre coming to complain about bad, wicked, irresponsible and insensitive employers. |
I have responded to everyone who applied for this job through me. I appraised your submissions and forwarded it to the Hr manager of the company for consideration. I will communicate the response I get to all applicants. |
wizdammy1:I updated the guidelines for this role. Kindly refer and follow accordingly. |
fbtowner:Thanks for being alert enough. But more importantly, many thanks for bringing it to my notice. I would really appreciate your correcting it in the quote in your post. |
DEmejioba1:You know he actually makes a lot of sense. The man was not accepted by his own people to represent them and now he is considered suitable to hold a ministerial appointment, It does stand logic on its head though. This is just my objective point of view. |
