yemmey10:Very smart response and objective too. It calls to minda popular adage; Since the hunter has learnt to shoot without missing, the bird has learnt to fly without perching(or something like that). |
Prevhoo:This is typical of Nairaland. Very immature posturing. Very selfish and self serving opinions. People responding without even reading properly. May I admit here that I have done this before and till date I always advise all clients to insist on holding at least NYSC discharge certificates as security whenever candidates are being recruited for sensitive positions and those that have to handle cash related responsibilities. Lets look at it objectively. OP said the prospective employer will have it domiciled in a vault with the bank or with a commercial vault service provider. And the receipt will be given to him. What could be so wrong about that? I usually advise that the cert be deposited with a bank and that both parties are signatories to the rrlease of the document. Inall the responses above none have you have considered the prospective employer at all. Those of you have had tge experience of working in some organisations where selling is key woukd have heard recurring stories of sales personnel stealing monies in different volumes. And finally, it is the employer hat is left to suffer the loss. Some craft stupid and fantastic tales about losses that perhaps didnt even happen. I have witnessed a situation where three salesmen left the company simultaneously with a cumulative of 3Mill with different nerve racking stories. Experience is the best teacher. Guarantors behave very funny when their proteges are nabbed. And that is when you start hearing all manners of stories, he guarantor has suddenly lost his well paying job or is in hospital or incapacittated in some form or other.......or in some very gory cases relocated to dead. In the final analysis the money is lost. Guarantors area waste of time. You may confirm this with any banker involved in recovery. Hold on to the certifucate and he /she will have a stake and will ensure that all lose ends are ied before he seeks to reclaim heis property. Nigerian youths must be taught to be responsible and please spare me the "how much" is being paid story. The principle and and not the amount is what matters. Too much monies are lost bycompanies to fraudulent acts by sales people obviously have no stake in the business. OP if you have no evil plan then drop your certificate as a security nd work conscienciously. Whrn you are done puck up your certificate and move on. |
HMZi:You could go to jail for 21 years if the lid is blown off the case. Both the employer and the NYSC will bring you down on your knees on different counts. |
We are still receiving and appraising offers. |
GrandMufti:Thanks Bro I really appreciate your efforts. My your reward be a thousandfold.
|
GrandMufti:Forgive me Sir, what do you mean by my Rom version? |
We are currently in a buying turn of the economy. People will always buy provided you have something they want or can be persuaded to buy. The Dangote cement distributorship is a good idea but methinks a faster return on investment could be from something smaller by way of a product, broader in terms of demand and a significant necessity in terms of demand. Fast Moving consumer Goods like snacks and other convenient foods are more up the ladder than cement/building materials. Summarily, identify a good product selling well in Lagos and pull it into Abuja and make your money quietly and without direct involvement too. Emphasis should be on things that appeal to the younger people like primary and secondary school students/pupils. What comes to mind here include but not limited to Biscuits, Cookies, corn pops, popcorn, plantain chips,chin-chin, sausage rolls and even some range of drinks. And Op the reward for this is actually not very large in terms of margins but the very high turnover makes up for the low margins. I guarantee that you could make at least 5% net monthly with your capital intact. You could even start out by trying with just 10% of your capital and then scaling up. Just my two pence. |
whodohgeepee:Trading is your best bet at the moment. You invest and you sell and should you want out you can leave on short notice. I think a light, cheap product that has mass appeal that is not currently in Calabar would be in your best interest. Do not underestimate some of these things. Examples aboud even here on Nairaland. Good luck to you. |
I have a six months old Xiaomi redmi phone. It has performed beyond my wildest expectations. Recently, I discovered that it only charges when powered off. It never charges when on. like I said this is a very recent development? Can any one in the house be of help by way of advice? |
I have sent you a pm. |
OP, your posturing is very frank. Very few people request for information this sincerely. I have a small write-up that recommends businesses that you can adopt as a new entrant. I must warn you that the models prescribed there are very traditional cum conservative and have minimal risk and therefore attract rather lower profit margins but I assure you that the yield will be very predictable and consistent. Secondly this type of models are not online businesses and neither are they intangibles, but things you can invest in with that amount and beyond even if you are not on-site it will run without your direct presence and without room for too much fraud or pilferage. I can only recommend this and then you make your choices after an objective evaluation and a careful consideration. Enjoy the experience but remain cautious. |

Can you make a very secure investment in a Lagos based FMCG business that creates products of value that has a ready and secure market? This investment is for the acquisition of the essential components required for the manufacturing of these products. All the equipment, expertise and human capital required for the processing is already in place and available for inspection in the company premises. The required materials will be bought directly from the manufacturers/importers. This investment is a three month investment subject to a periodic appraisal and renewal where there is a mutual agreement. The first tier is for September through December 2017. The second tier is for January till March 2018. The third tier covers April through June 2018. As can be observed the main target is the school’s academic calendar. Whenever schools are closed, the business is suspended and all the monies are returned to the investor. A mutually acceptable framework can be designed to ensure a clinical amortization of the invested funds, with the investor being granted access to our financial reporting format including but not limited to our banking online portal and other platforms. This way he/she is within the managerial and supervisory loop. The return on investment is very attractive and is remitted monthly. A total clean-up is effected every three months. Security by way of collateral may be provided to at least 3 times the value of the investment. Whereas the total investible sum may be varied downwards, interested investors with less than 10 Million Naira need not contact us. If you are interested then kindly reach out to me via the following means; PM me Whatsapp; 080 9999 4132 Email; vikbiz2011@gmail.com Or put up your phone number and I will get in touch with you. |
Your best bet is seeking out a company produces something that UNIBEN students need and which is not selling on campus already. Get sub-distriibutorship rights and start selling them right away and then smile to the bank weekly. Simple model, minimal risk and student friendly. Would have recommended some here but that would be cheap advertising for the brands mentioned. Good luck. |
Hello House, I have Xiaomi Redmi phone bought a few monrhs ago and have been enjpying it for a while now. I must say this is a great phone for the price I got it for and it thus goodbye to my signature brands Recently I noticed that it refused to charge and I dedided to do some research here on Nairaland and read where someone said that the phone shoukd be switched off before charging. I did that nd it worked even though I noticed the charging rate is quite slower than what it used to be. It appears from my research that water could be he culprit here and I must say that the closest water may have come to the phone is so Saturday when I walked through a light drizzle of rain. Can someone please advise on how I can I correct this anomaly? |

44chux:The wheat and the chaff are usually separated during processing which could take different forms smd approaches.Otherwise they are enmeshed together. Be careful how you arrive at your conclusions. Not everyone will stoop so low as to scam others of their hard earned prizes. And again, we mostly judge people based on our experiences. I re-mphasise that this is not meant to make money for me in any way. I do however add that those participants who are satisfied with the project results may offer me a token only after they draw a sense of fulfillment from his excercise. No payments to me for now. Thanks. |
Please ensure that you nclude your details in your mail. Your location and a little information about your business experience will help in profiling you. |
I have developed an almost fail proof business plan for medium scale investors who are desirous of investing in a local trading effort that is designed to yield at a minimum of 5% monthly profit initially and then growing into 10 per cent after the first 3-6 months. There is also a guaranteed consistent performance. Please note that the emphasis is on the fact that it is almost fail proof. This translates to the fact that it is also business designed for the long haul. The model like other serious approaches will require delayed gratification but it will provide a steady stream of very consistent returns on capital. It is a traditional business model that is has been modified significantly to suit patient and dedicated investors. Baring all odds however, this model will only bring profits and the stream will not cease if the proffered guidelines are strictly adhered to. I will also be available to provide periodic support in terms of advice via whatsapp only. This model is best suited for those who reside outside Lagos State. It is a model that will work exceedingly well for those in upcountry cities and towns. I will not charge a fee for this guidance but will insist that if the operator is satisfied with the model he may wish to make a one-off payment to my company account as compensation/reward. Not everyone will be accepted to participate in this project. Only those who meet certain specific provisions will be allowed. I can state here clearly that one of the conditions will be that only a specific number of people will be allowed per town/city. Kindly note that the minimum amount required for the take-off or a trial run using this model is Two Hundred Thousand Naira (NGN 200, 000.00). Only those who have this amount and are ready to invest should indicate via email. If you are interested in adopting this model for your use kindly send an email to the Gmail account below provided below. In the email, please provide your names, location (area, town and state only and not specific home/office address or full details). quantulex@gmail.com |
Experienced sales persons may apply. Candidates residing around Agege and environs and who have had some exoerience in field sales of FMCG may also apply. |
adaybayor:Wherever you live in Nigeria, you will agree with me that the whole country is one big marketplace. Wherever you turn, the first thing you see is people buying one thing or another. My typical which has become traditional for me is to recommend for new entrants into business to take their time and analyse various offers from well meaning Nairalanders before taking a plunge. One of the safest loops to operate within is trade. This does not mean that it has a zero risk potential but I can assure you that it will not fail completely. Just buy something that you can sell off within the shortest oossible time and I assure you that you will do well. Seek out what is needed in your setting/environment and provide it at an appropriate price and I tell you te ban will be welcome you with open arms. Trade is a good way to start out especially trading on something that you have an edge over. It may not something everone wants or needs but if it is what a significant segment of the market cannot do without then you are in business. Examples abound here from Always sanitary pads to Bobo milk juice for kids. They all rock. Think about it carefully and the light will strike you accordingly. |
[quote author=adaybayor post=59216233]God evening Nairalanders, Kindly help with good business ideas that I can invest in that will guarantee a good ROI within a not too long period. I have access to 2million naira capital. My location is Sagamu, Ogun state. God bless you as you help me. NB: I do not have interest in betting and all forms of online trades and I am not desperate. [/quote Your post did not provide enough information that will elicit an objective advice. Kindly note that whatever I provide below by way of advice is predicated on the insights that I have from your rather skeletal post. My advice will thus also be very generic but I hope you get the kernel of the advice and can be adapted to suit different scenarios. Your location Sagamu is quite attractive. If you were in Lagos, I probably wouldn't have bothered responding at all. The answer for you may lie in trading. It is a very simple effort that can yield almost immediately. There is a trader inherent in all of us to a larger or lesser degree. Go to the biggest market in Sagamu and look around. What are people really buying in terms of product segments? What price bracket sell the most? And what bracket of the population is more money spent on. this will be a very effective guide.I could give you some clues of what to expect but I won't. I will rather encourage you to go out there yourself and observe carefully. There is a fulfilment that you will get in making the discoveries yourself. After this observation, you will then narrow down your choice of what to ok in terms of target market(Age and status), price range; and maybe weight of the the product. The final stage is to identify a product from a small/medium sized company that does not have a presence in Sagamu and then negotiate to become their exclusive/distributor covering Sagamu, Mowe, Ibafo, Ofada, Ago Iwoye, Ijebu-land and maybe even up to Ogere. Then with just 10 percent of that money, buy some of their products and sample it in a preferred area. The responses you get will determine if it is necessary for you to take the plunge. It is only at this point that you then negotiate and place a large order after being given a formal document/certificate ceding the entire territory to you. This model will never fail. It has numerous advantages including the fact that at every point in time you always have your money or its product equivalent with you and you can divest within thirty days. Whichever company you chose finally, I would like to add that you negotiate hard and get a good price and more importantly support for your take-off. I hope this post was useful. I wish you well as you seek expression and contribute to our economy. |
Oktane:Just my very thoughts echoed here. Exhilarating! |
Do candidates with only SSCE qualification with or without sales experience qualify for the Merchandising or indeed any other position? |
This is a traders economy. Look for simething to sell. Buy tangible commoditied that have a broadbased demand and sell them in your locality. |
Applications are still being accepted. |
Dollypie20:The company has no name. It is trying to set up in Nigeria after landing safely on earth from planet Mars. You may wish to suggest a name for them to use but in the meantime please dont apply, kindly await the publication of their name in the national dailies. |
