Alexis Mac Allister will wear the number 10 shirt for Liverpool after sealing a £45million move from Brighton.

The World Cup winner is Liverpool's first signing this summer and Mirror Football understands the Reds have forked out an initial fee of between £45-50m, which will then be supplemented by performance-related add-ons.

Mac Allister has been handed the number 10 shirt which he wore at both Brighton and Argentinos Juniors. The number has been vacant since Sadio Mane left Liverpool to join Bayern Munich last summer and has previously been worn by the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Michael Owen and Steve McManaman
