Going by delays from the tractor man, any participant is free to clear his space manually. The labour team on standby can assist.

Many thanks to all that showed up this saturday. I am still expecting the tractor operator for inspection. Hoping to sort this by monday.

During harvest, some watermelon buyers will come to the farm to buy, however, each participant can determine the best way to sell for a better return.

We can all meet between 10am - 1pm every saturday begining this saturday. Allocation of land is on 1st come 1st served. You have 1 week for land preparation.

***Training Modified***
In order to accornmodate more participants and lower the cost, the following modifications has been made.
1. Land: 120ft x 120ft will be allocated free.
2. Hybrid seeds will be provided free.
3. Cost of clearing 10k estimated or you do it yourself.
4. Partcipants are to Provide: 1 litre each of insecticide, contact + systemic herbicides, a pack of fungicides, 25kg of Npk. Estimate 10k.
5. Spray eqipment will be provided for use free. Participants are to apply items listed in (4) above or engage a farm assistant at a cost.
6. Target yield: 350 big fruits of watermelon valued at N300 each.
7. Training fee: N20k payable after harvest.
Note: For the purpose of expansion, anyone who can cultivate a large expanse of land outside this one for training will be given on lease or lease buyback or outright purchase.

1. OBJECTIVE: This practical training on watermelon farming is designed for 10 participants. Each participant target is to produce 1,000 balls of 4-5kg watermelon with a value of N300 per ball. NOTE: THE 1,000 BALLS OF WATERMELON SO PRODUCED BELONG TO THE PARTICIPANT.

2. RESOURCES: 1 acre farmland each & Seeds of hybrid variety (free), Labour & Agrochemicals (participant). 1 day / week is ok to enable question & answer, care, monitor your crops and record the progress.

3. LOCATION: Lukosi-Gidimo road, off OFADA-PAPALANTO Road, Ogun State.

4. HARVEST: Each participant will supervise harvesting and sales of their produce from the 1acre allocated.

5. DOCUMENTS: Farmland allocation I. D card will be issued.

I mean detail every kobo needed to be invested or is it a total of N120,000.

For an investor who is based far away from lagos / ogun, how do we ensure that no one swindles / scams anyone.

It is a perennial crop. Price do fluctuate hence, we have placed a guarrantee level of N50 returns per plant.
